All these other overly detailed laws were laws of the land. God had nothing to do with all that. The people called Jesus a sinner because he picked an ear of corn on the Sabbath.People have to eat. Jesus said if your Ox falls in the ditch on the Sabbath get him out. It might be dead by the next day. In other words do what you have to do on your day of rest. Just don't work 6 days and put off painting the house and mowing the grass on the day of rest. Jesus knew man needs a day off. God said man was not made for the Sabbath ,. but the Sabbath was made for man. Jesus was a wise man, acquainted with the troubles man goes through. Every tiny thing people did wrong was charged against them as breaking the law. It was said that if you broke any part of the law, you had broken them all. How foolish! Every sin people were charged with ,. Jesus took upon Himself when He was crucified. The reason it is said He "fulfilled" the law. He took the sin of the world and paid with his life. At the same time freeing the people from the law. Grace took the place of the law. If we ask He forgives us of our sin. Not under the law...you might have gotten your head cut off. Also, Jesus said to keep following the laws, as he did not come to abolish the laws of the prophets, he came to fulfill them.
