Are you saying you can't count up to eleventeen?
When it comes to counting the legs on insects, it seems that the bible god and his followers have trouble getting past four.

Once I understood how politics and propaganda worked, I suddenly realized what religion was. It is politics.

<quoted text>No matter the "spirit" of the offender, if it is not of willful acceptance of the receiver, it is immoral and can be a crime.
Paying someone to be violent, it being violent. Their is really no disconnect as far as morality and the law is concerned.
And why would you label Christians as you just did? Seems pretty hypocritical to your main theory here on topix. But hypocrisy is obviously not seen as a wrong by the likes of you and most Christians.
What Curious did in his violent words is very typical of Christians from my observations.
Or maybe you have a certain view of what someone bearing the label of "Christian" should be?
In my world, it shows you have a flawed philosophy.
Do you just like reiterating what I already stated?

Stick another fork in your tongue of, Duquette.

We didn't have all these school shooting, and the bullying when the Bible was taught in schools. That didn't happen until it was taken out. So if you ask me this is a good thing !

Foolish one , You are referring to Abraham.
In your desire to mislead, deceive and misconstrue , you left out some important and relevant facts;
Abraham was tested by God and asked to sacrifice his son Isaac;

Let us remember that the Bible states very clearly thet "God will not test you beyond what you can endure.
Now let us get back to Abraham;
When Abraham and Isaac arrived at the place of sacrifice ,Abraham told his servants , you stay here till WE return.
Meaning he and Isaac would return , Abraham knew that he would not be tested beyond what he could endure.
Moreover ,as they went up the Mountain Isaac asked , Where is the sacrifice that we are offering unto the Lord?
Abraham replied , Do not worry ,the Lord will provide that which is to be sacrificed.
Abraham did not say that he wouild provide the sacrifice ,he said that it would be God who would do so.
You are renowned for misrepresenting that which is written in the bible,this is one more instance that can be added to that long and erroneous list.

The churches are being giving tax exemptions to teach the bible during the week and in Sunday schools. Now the prisons are overflowing with Christians. Can you judge who will not commit crimes just because they go to church?

Dennis Lynn Rader aka "BTK" is an American serial killer and mass murderer he was a christian and deacon in his church.

Religion causes war,bulling and hate. It's in the bible so it must be true because Jesus said it's true.

I am not the fool who openly claimed using human logic is not good. That is what a believer said, and it is not the first believer here who has said the same. It is what the bible says. I hope they do not follow Deuteronomy as literally.
What you have often stated is that you don't know ,in essence , you don't know what you believe in.
That is very plain and I fully understand it

Might I recommend the Windsor Rose? I'm not a fan of English food, but he (and the general public) might be safer with a mug of Earl Gray than a cup of Guinness. Oh, and another thing - make sure it's not December. Lights of Lake will be far too much stimulation for his.. condition.
No , you may not recommend the Windsor Rose. English food tastes like constipated mud.
December is also not a good time. That is the time when witchetty makes the big bucks decorating Christmas trees.
Personally , I preffer a restaurant where thety have alligator porkchops on the menu.
That way we can finally put your pet alligator,Don Quixote , out of it's misery,

Abraham found it hard to obey his god's command to slaughter his son but his willingness to commit murder was considered praiseworthy!!!?? Jephthah found it difficult to sacrifice his daughter to god but he was obligated to carrying out this vile act because of a promise he made to god. Why didn't god stop that sacrifice? I guess he wasn't in the mood for half-measures that day and knowing that someone was willing to murder their child for him wasn't enough - god wanted blood.

If Abraham and Jephthah were truly moral they would have defied God.

Why don't you say to your wife that you don't believe that she loves you so she must prove it by killing the old lady next door? Then say that if she doesn't obey you will beat and torture her.

It's barbaric and an abuse of power.

Yet this is what your god does all the time. if you don't do as he wishes then you are punished in hell

For sure, Armour, Swift and the Union stockyards, plus there was manufacturing, the railroad, the World's Fair... there's lots of history in Chi town and the nation wouldn't be the same without it. Miserable place to drive and I'd hate to live there. I suppose you've spent a lot of time around Rockford, the quad cities, Peoria, Springfield, Carbondale,...?
I heard a guy left his heart in San Francisco, but I left my appendix in Galesburg - a story for another day.
I grew up living next to the stockyards in Chicago. No one could escape the smell. I had to wait for the bus on a street that was a major route to the stockyards. It was lovely to stand next to the cattle cars stopped for the traffic light and watch them crap through the boards of the cattle car.
I also left my appendix in Galesburg in 1968 while I was at Knox College.

Actually, we've had school violence all along. Just because it was happening long before the internet and cable television doesn't mean it didn't happen.
