There you have it a scripture from the bible that clearly means religion is for children and should be dispensed with when one becomes an adult.
Perhaps these people are still to reach adulthood.
There you go.
Now you know why your ignorance laced remarks and that of other Atheists go unanswered.
I do believe , based on the evidence you have provided that , if you were 3 times as smart as you are, you'd still be dumb.
Remember Valley Forge and Washington's crossing the Delaware , where the English met their waterloo

We need to realize that God is not being introduced to children in many homes today and the offspring of that home needs to know that God is there for him/her in prayer. It was thought that God was only to be introduced in the homes and let's face it, that did not work, as you readily can see.

Solution to all the above would be to allow a moment of silent prayer each day for students, with no doctrines being taught. Allow the student to only hear about the Love of the" same God", who gave his son Jesus on the cross to bring us back to him which this country was founded on, not other gods who have come in that door since the founding of this Nation.

1. Look what good that did, Christians greatest number of people in our
prisons.

39% catholic
35% protestant
0.4% Mormon
0.21% Atheist
0.009% Krishna

The Christians are most troubled from the numbers in prison. We would be better citizens if sociology, science and about how we evolved.

You want only Christian religion taught or otherwise the most troubled ones according to prison numbers.

You want a theocracy?
What is your moral compass?

Why are you twisting the words of the bible?
When Jesus referred to the devil being people's fathers, he said it was the Jews - not unbelievers.
Be careful, your god has killed millions for doing a lot less than what you've just done.
How misguided you are! What do you think those few select Jews were then ? They were unsaved unbelievers like you.

I follow Christ and worship God and I know he is good. You are speaking wrongly about true followers of Christ as we don't aim to hurt or kill the unsaved and unbelieving like you but bring to light the error of you ways.

We know about your ways in that you only know about what you believe in this world and follow after the father of lies the devil.

Your using evil lies and misinterpretations to twist the good of how we mean things as you do the bible because its all you know to do and it is meaningless to all who know the truth and abide in love.

God is the great I am he is - was and always will be as he always had been way before us. Christ was with the father before the world was as a lamb he then I believe fought and won against those who opposed God. He was sent to us to save us by God being the only one worthy as if he were a lamb slain to open the scrolls and he showed us he defeated death as he defeated the devil. He has God within as he was made to become man of God as with the Holy Spirit he is in us too as we were also made by God. We are one body as Christians with the same Spirit of God working in us.

Christ was spoken of in the Old Testament and God is also spoken of in the New Testament although God is a Spirit and Christ his son is/ was his creation as we are he is also working in the Spirit as God is in that he is Gods son.

Amber thanks for your kindly reply. I sure you are a good person with good intentions by sharing your message of faith. I'm suspecting that the moderator of this forum has excommunicated me from debating on this forum for reasons unknown to me. I suspect the moderator is very religious and cannot remain neutral in my discussion with you.

Maybe I was not clear enough in my last question. I will ask again and see if the moderator allows the public to view it. It's not in anyway nasty or a violation of the rules of topix.

Are you a member of Jehovah Witnesses Watchtower organization?

No but I have a male cousin that is along with his mother and now his wife & children even though he celebrated Christmas with our family and his dad for many years. I also have attended a witness meeting a few times and although I would find some things to disagree with, like other denominations, I also found people's hearts were growing in Christ and Gods love with the Holy Spirit which has no man made limits or denomination.

It's hardly a national secret, but if WitW declines to disclose her home town or the root of the controversy, I'll abide her wishes. It isn't my fault you don't pay more attention to your local events. I'll give you this - if you want to scroll back 2 or 3 thousand plus posts, I'll bet you can find the post where she named it. Have at it, Bonzo.
LOL! I had forgotten that way back I talked to someone who lived in my general area and told them what town I was in, to see if they wanted to meet up. I don't even remember who it was.
You have an awesome memory.

But I see the controversy you are referring to.
Was unaware that the city was being sued due to the cross on the city seal.
That is one UGLY seal. It should be changed just on the basis that it's an awful design.
Interesting. I will watch to see the outcome.

The atheist group downtown were mostly protesting the rude behavior
of the local fundies on Friday afternoons.
I don't think the local papers have even noticed, which surprises me.
This is a small, Southern town with old roots.
There are, I suspect, more churches than restaurants.

Pretty conservative, BUT it is also home to a well-respected university.
It's beautiful how education opens minds.

I've had dealings with two JW people in the past cause I worked with both of them at different times. One was a pure witch but proclaimed her church as the be all end all of her life. Dang if she'd not turn around and stab you in the back the minute your guard was let down tho.
The other lady was a very sweet and kind hearted soul who was devoted to her faith too and was always willing to help anyone when they needed it. Whether it was at work or not she would be there for any body who needed anything.
So to judge both of them in a bad way because of what one was like is ludicrous and something I would never do.
By the way spaceship it might be a good idea to watch who you develop a kinship with in here because theres no body who knows why stuff gets gone but the moderaters out in California. They all live there.
I can promise you that the apostated prostate is wrong about who is taking stuff off of here so don't get sucked in to his crud. He's been on this crusade for years now on and off. You'll only get half truths out of him for why he gets deleted so much. Plus he's done been bannised from here more times than Carters got liver pills. Why they dont just go ahead and get rid of him again is beyond me. I guess not enough people has complained about him again yet but who knows.

Thanks for your reply Amber. The man behind the curtain has some posters in his/her gun sights. If they don't want me to debate they should ban me instead of removing my posts.

Good that you get along with your JW relatives. Do they debate on topix or work for topix as a moderator?

Christians must remember that their faith will be tested. Debating here will be a challenge with some of the better educated atheists than myself. I hope their posts are not blocked by the moderator also. I enjoy the verbal sparring.

Sorry your right and you put it better then I did haha. I just try to be nice is all. Probably sometimes too nice I guess but at least that back stabbing hypocrite didn't ever get me in no hot water at work. She ended up getting her own self fired after trying to stab my back. Sweet it was watching her pack up her stuff and get escorted out of the building and I dont mind admitting it one bit. I had her figured out real quick.
Just like I already got that apostated prostate figured out.

I learned the hard way after getting all mad and making an idiot fool of my self with the feedback email thing on here that if I make a remark by hitting that reply and click thing that mine would come off too if theirs did haha!
Back on the topix here I wont and dont put down another person for what they believe. That just isnt my call to make. Its every ones own business how they want to live. Just like mine is my own business.
So far we still have that freedom left but some times I wonder how long thats gonna last too.

My cousin doesn't keep in touch, and I don't know of any relatives on topix aside from my brothers and sisters in Christ. There's also a Facebook Christian discussion and debate group that you might try too - they are open for civil discussion.

I don't much like debate as much as I like uplifting and encouraging Christian discussion as debate in somewhat self centered and one sided but discussion is open ended and inclusive.

I encourage you too attend services at different denominations and keep your heart from judging to see the same Spirit of truth in each one that may lead you to salvation in Jesus.

Of course, we all know that the bible got that little detail wrong. Question is - do you?
No doubt you also believe that despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, the universe is only 6,000 years old.
Closer to 3, than 4! So they dropped a decimal point...
You dropped your soul!
God is real, and IF you think He couldn't spread out the Heavens like a blanket in a day... you'd be wrong!
What you probably hate most is...
The Bible spoke of you... thousands of years ago, AND
it is Spot on!
