Let us begin by correcting your assertions
Religious proclivity is your opinion and I do not assume Genesis is correct , I believe Genesis is correct.
As I read the Book of Genesis ,certain parts catch my undivided attention.
For example some claim that we were not created by God and are instead a product of the stars.
Their opinion is that were it not for star dust , we would not be here.
Science has determined ,within the last 50 years or so , that we were formed from stardust.
I agree with that conclusion.. I held that belief long before Science confirmed that we were formed from stardust.
Genesis clearly states that God formed Adam and Eve from the dust on the ground.
Generally speaking ,we tend to hold dirt in disdain. We refer to those we want to insult as dumber than dirt.
We refer to them as being nothing but dirt , you are nothing but dirt under my feet..
If it were true that man wrote the Bible without being guided by the spirit of God , then why did the writer specify something as lowly as dirt as the ingredients from which we are created.
One would think that the writers would concoct a story whereby this supposedly imaginary God would have created us from some special substance., not lowly dirt
Ultimately , Science confirms what the writers of the Bible , guided by God's spirit had already proclaimed.
He who created us could unequivocally state the name of the material or subsstance he used to create us, from the stardust on the ground., without fear of being proved wrong by Science or anyone else.
Those whom God created from the dust on the ground are known the world over as Adam and Eve.
The Bible also clearly states that the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter is three.

Looks like it got it wrong on that.

All religious creation stories lack any evidence, so are correctly called myths. All religions require FAITH for the same reason - no evidence.
The beginning of wisdom will be your first visit to http://www.talkorigins.org/ , which proves conclusively the Bible, Koran, Torah, Vedas, etc are not LITERALLY true(sorry Fundamentalists):

Dolt.
Where do you think the elements that you consist of came from?
Oh yes, Yahweh made them.
Wrong. They came from stars.
“Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand.
It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust.
You couldn't be here if stars hadn't exploded, because the elements – the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for
evolution and for life – weren’t created at the beginning of time.
They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So, forget Jesus.
The stars died so that you could be here today.

You elaborated on your >belief< (which is not the same as fact) and attempted to insult, but I see no correcting of my statements. Your cock-crowing only corroborates that you do have a proclivity toward religion, Peter. In as far as your proposal that 'being made from dirt is proof of Genesis', what percentage of silicon comprises the human body? The fact is that our composition is closer to sea water than dirt - but it's a science thing, I doubt you'd understand. You aver the writers of the Bible say that we are made from lowly materials, yet you >dismiss< God's breath and the human soul. Anything to "win" an argument, huh?

Obama Care will leave More people without Insurance than before it was passed... Many of those ,actually 35 million, didn't have insurance is because they didn't want any because they are young and invulnerable and those people will still not sign up for it.. There will also be many that cannot afford the price while at the same time being dropped from their existing policies...
The Republican Plan didn't fail as it was never tried but would have covered the ones without insurance through Medicaid...
So Now when we have a Medicare, Social Security, Welfare and Food Stamp system that is seen as Not Sustainable in the future and we add another massive program that will morph just like the others... This will place even More people Dependent of Government and once dependent when the Economy goes even further down hill, and it will, the cities will burn when the checks stop...
It is expected that the National Debt will hit 20 Trillion by 2016 but we actually are in Debt when you consider the Unfunded Mandates ,as Obama Care will be, is around 220 Trillion... As with All Government programs like Obama Care the Actual Cost will be 4 to 10 times the claims when the programs started...
When Medicare passed it was said to never cost more than 30 billion a year and Social Security was said to only cost 20 Billion a year... Obama Care will cost More than Medicare and Medicaid Combined and give you a Government Controlled system which will led to unintended consequences that will be seen in short order..
Great post!
