We are supposed to ask for forgiveness from those we've wronged...
IF at all possible!
Here is why just telling someone they should do something is not good enough for results. All to many Christians ignore the part about asking the transgressed for forgiveness because the bible does not explain why this is needed.
I have explained the reasons I think it is needed. They have nothing to do with a god but are great for a civil society.

Some people are very forgiving, others not quite as easily and others not at all.
I personally don't believe in dark age vengence, as it just continues its cycle, over and over, mired by it's own poisons of it's own doings.
I do however believe that peoples own rotteness comes back upon them by way of karma.
Some people are to forgiving. One should earn forgiveness depending upon the severity of the transgression. Otherwise no lessons are learned.
I find asking a god for forgiveness is pointless. In fact this act could be counterproductive as it often diverts the attention away from the transgressed.

I also believe in a karma effect. If you often transgress others, of course it is likely that you will be transgressed.

Again, how old are you? I guessed twelve, but I'm going for ten after reading that post, because it sounds just like a petulant little kid, with no clue as to the real world, as in IGNORANT.
Thanks for that very grown up like opinion. Sarcasm.

Yea, and then there's some of us actually GOOD kinds-that really do NOT like having to watch people suffer daily, Especially because of the utter, abject, dark age ignorance of others.
But that's the real world-just chock full of nothing BUT ignorance.
Oh look, Sista thinks she is GOOD. Well pat yourself on the back why don't you?

It is disturbing that he is WILLING to.
Perhaps Sis missed the post where Yaa said he would kill members of his family if the voice in his head told him to.
Fortunately for them, Yaa is "pretty sure" Yahweh wouldn't tell him to.
I'm just glad I'm not related to him.
His family should have him committed for his own good and their safety.
I remember that now that you mention it.
Lets just hope that voice in his head (thoughts due to propaganda) does not tell him to kill.

I'll give you an example: a five year old that sees dad use his pistol to shoot at targets, likes to pretend he is like dad. He shoots his toy gun at everyone and everything that moves. He climbs up one day and reaches dad's gun and accidentally kills his brother. Is the kid guilty, or the dad?
Well that is not the "certain age" the bible shows, now is it?
Our laws would not consider this a murder at all. Who knows what standards your god has, as it changes from time to time.

I can't claim credit for the phrase - it came from a book I read in the '70's. I didn't tell you to go do it, I merely said that I don't - and I find it far less offensive than the variations of "Go burn in Hell" that Christians are so fond of repeating. BTW, are you also taken aback by the eloquence of the term "freedom of expression?" I didn't invent that one, either.
I didn't think so at first, but as time goes on I see uncanny resemblances between curious and mantle. Could they be conjoined?
I'm reminded of the Fool's Gold Twins... you know, Delusional and Demented.
Let me say this about that.
I credit you with all the nonsensical and absurd opinions that you post under your right of Freedom of Expression.
As an aside, I have admitted that I am Curious,,,,,,,about a lot of things.
Could Curious and I be conjoined? With me up here and hiim down there.
An Atrophied Atheist Cerebellum may well reach that conclusion.

Aww.. how cute. A female chauvinist piglette.
Sounds like you're a little bitter that one or more of those tail chasers sniffed around other curs' butts and not yours. Poor Lassie - I'm sorry you were spurned, but don't blame all males for your resentments and repressed hormones.
Gobekli Tepe is interesting. It rewrites what we've presumed about hunter-gathering and agriculture, as well as the widely held timetables of civilization.
Wrong-so quit your projecting @ a 12 year old level, thank you.

Anyway moving above and beyond the stuck in kiddie warp zone stuff-
I just thought it was kind of interesting how some things that may have occurred during the times of ancient civilizations, can now be explained by possibilites attributed to, of all things, more modern (natural) Science.
So you must prefer the more primitive archeological sites? Interesting data ..10-12K BC huh?

Do I lie...Yes I do
Do I steal .. No
now for the the next question... The really stupid one
A vagina is part of the female anatomy. Not sure what you mean by the "made for" The vagina has several functions and purposes, it is an orifice for giving birth, an orifice for a penis among other things, such as medical devices.
Were you trying to say that if I watch porn, lie or steal, That I am evil or vile? You are beyond stupid and need to be committed. Seek help before you hurt yourself or someone else.
Where to begin.
You admitted that you lie . You confirmed that you lie by saying you don't steal.
If you watch porn you are a deviant, if you lie you are a liar and if you steal you are a thief = vile and evil

In my opinion, that's all thread this has predominantly turned into, right on par with an 8th grade school room, full of 8th grade mentalities.

Having LONG since past that "era", I myself much prefer more rational, logical and insightful discussions...sans hate, bigotry and just niggling others in general. I find such to be absolute foolishness, to harp redundantly at others, and cannot see any logic in the concept of anyone even wanting to try and speak for others, especially as to what they as individuals, are thinking. Foolishness-- of fools.

Prehistoric archeological discussions are far more interesting, and worthwhile.

"Harm" comes in many forms, not just physical.
Again you divert from the point I make. You and YaA do harm due to your superstition. And now you are just pointing out why you feel it is ok to do.
I think you're just looking for for a whipping post in YaA--and others.

Just because they are defending their faith.

I'm really starting to take offense at your petty and incorrect assumptions, directed at my persona (of which you actually know nothing of ). I find that type of behavior, very harmful.

Do you think that is okay for you to do?

I was thinking about this today, actually. Not YaA, but the idea that morality comes from god and therefore *anything* god does is inherently moral. It's a scary belief system. Abraham was clearly perfectly content to stab his own son with a knife because the voices in his head told him to do it.

Both are harmful to a civilized society.
Unfortunately you are fine with people doing one of these harmful things.
Again, I find your accusations, false allegations and judgemental tone very insulting, mean spirited and harmful, on par level with that of terrorizing another.

Why do you seemingly feel that is okay for you to do?
