Well, that's a relief. Take it from me, if you see 'curious' posting anything you'd probably be better off just ignoring it. He's either a troll or a complete idiot. At one point he swore up and down that someone simply answering a classified ad about his lost dog was objective evidence of divine intervention. Some woman called him in response to an ad, and he thought it was a miracle. Can you believe that? What a rube....

Yup. Just like a lost dog story I once heard, it can be summed up with a grunt and a properly aimed leg lift.

<quoted text>It is as if the bible can be interpreted in numerous ways, and this is why we have over 38,000 different sects. It is a testament to the holy ghost being only your own thoughts and beliefs, nothing more.

I see no evidence pointing to your stories as real, and all evidence points to the stories as being invented by man.
It is a testament to the apostasy. It is also a testament that people don't like change. As you have said, many people do stick with what they knew growing up. Traditions feel good. They are sentimental. I approached my studies of different religions with all intent to follow the one that I was told was right. I admit this was difficult because there are bits and pieces and even large chunks of truth within many religions. The trick is to keep searching until you have found the one with the most truth. The Holy Ghost testifies of all truth so you can feel His presence in many different churches. Most become satisfied and stay. I chose to keep trying to learn the mysteries of the Kingdom now, instead of saying, we aren't supposed to know that yet. In some cases we aren't told everything. We aren't always prepared to receive the answer.

<quoted text>Look, if the religious kids are beating up the homosexual kids in school, then it is their RESPONSIBILITY to take charge, as you are clearly not doing the job. In fact, I think your words and your churches actions have compounded the situation.
Back in the "good old days" things like this were swept under the rug and never spoken of, just as with many abuses.

Will the kids listen to the teachers over your propaganda of homosexuality being on par with bestiality? Well it sure is an uphill battle with the likes your powerful, organized, bigot machine of a church, but I will be on the pro-active side instead of the "sweep it under the rug" side.

Violence upon homosexuals for the simple fact they are homosexuals, is a hate crime. It can carry some serious charges. I hope schools will teach the law, and encourage our kids to follow them and understand the consequences.

BTW, the only reason it is of hate, is due to the religious dogma/superstition you push.

Also, if you detect some anger in my tone, you would be correct, as your posts are really firing me up.
These are reasons why I protest superstitions, and will continue to do so as long as these injustices are being perpetrated by the superstitious.
This is why many are leaving religion. This fight will win you no converts.
Who says the religious kids are beating up the homosexuals? This happens between thousands of different groups (jocks beat up nerds, football players beat up band students, etc). You're throwing a mighty big assumptive blanket on this one, and trying to put me at the front of the parade. You are incorrect with that assumption for sure.

I hate no person. I do not, however, approve of all actions by every person. But violence is never my answer to anything. It never has been.

And I'm not here for converts. That assumption was wrong too.

There are things I can believe.
Your lies are not one of them.

I have gone back and tried to find evidence for the claims you have made.

What I found is that you are lying.
No such claims were made by curios or any one else.

Seems you are not the only liar.
Add Chromiuman,LOl and Satanic Priest to that list
as well.
There may be others.....

Another tidbit that may not come as a surprise.

It appears that yourself,LOL and Chromiuman have the same schedule for posting on Topix...

Wonder if that is by coincident or by design?
It is odd that all appear on topix at the same time quite frequently.

I would never believe, nor would I allege, that you are all guilty of that which you accuse me off.

Of course that would not make you all guilty, just the one who is attempting to deceive others into believing there are three.

How much intellect is involved in order to perform such a feat?

Enough to persuade a homosexual cockroach to go straight

It must have taken you forever to examine indeterminable months of pages to find and review the dog story, the comments, retorts, replies and revisits... such "dogged" commitment to investigate an offhand reference to a story from a poster you haven't even corresponded with. Fascinating display of OCD.
Then to arrive at the conclusion that SS, LOL, CM and SP (especially SP!) are one person because these regular participants had posted within a day or two of each other? Hmmm, now where have I heard this irrationality before? Curious, indeed.
Perhaps you've STUMBLED across one of my maxims? Mind your ninth commandment.

I believe this passage will answer your question....
"... As it is written: See I lay a stone in Zion that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
If you seek answers from the right source, answers will be provided.
If you seek for gold in a latrine, you will not find any.....

*****Just in case you missed it,'cause I really want to help you*****

Heads up, mantle and I will attempt to explain Mike's question to you.

I'm going to spell it out for you very simply.

IF Yahweh is all powerful, can he create a rock he can't pick up?

"Of course he is all powerful," you say, "so yes, he can."

BUT if he is all powerful and CAN NOT pick up something, then he is NOT all powerful.

By the same token, if he CAN'T create a rock he can't pick up, then he is NOT all powerful.

This is called a paradox.
Since neither answer can be true, we must look to the question to find out why.

The question shows us that Yahweh IS NOT all powerful, no matter what you think the correct answer is.
If he is not all powerful, then the bible is incorrect.

This demonstrates that the bible was just written by superstitious goatherders.
"God" disappears in a puff of logic.

Logical thinking. Awesome, it's it?

Ah, curious. You decided to give up a little bit of your anonymity and finally use a registered account eh? Well, good for you. Why choose "mantle" as your moniker? Do you have a penchant for 19th century women's capes? Or maybe you're just fascinated with the Earth's crust and what lies beneath?
In any event, I know it's you because you're the only person I've ever knowingly encountered who thinks the terms "comprehension" and "endorsement" are synonymous. It's a dead giveaway. Well, that and your love of that "pearls before swine" quotation.
It was the "You don't understand faith" that was the tip for me. Same ol' haughtiness practically off the bat.

I suspect that mantle is from Psalms:
"Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle."
It fits with his Warrior of God complex. Too bad we aren't confused. Sorry, curious.

I'm sorry guys, but science has outpaced that old paradox. At some point the rock becomes heavier than the planet it's being lifted from, so can God make a planet that is too heavy to be lifted from his large rock? You can keep replacing rocks with planets, stars, dense matter, black holes, supermassive black holes... nothing works until you get to dividing singularities - then the physics is murky enough that the chowder-headed religies start slavering verbal secretions about Godiditwithmagic..

Same day, same time span, one right after the other.

Enough time in between to change monikers.

Further denial will not change the facts.

And you still have not caught on to who I might be..

Why am I hiding my location?

All of you are idiots waiting to bloom.

I chose mantle as my moniker.

Mickey Mantle is my all time favorite baseball player.

Iam glad you were reading the Psalms looking for an answer.

One would think the Witch would have figured that out.

Could be she is sitting on the pointed end of her broom.
That certainly would impair her ability to think coherently.

Tell her to ride sidesaddle, then she won't be affected, ANALytically speaking.

Now,you keep talking to yourself via your aliases.

In a litttle while, the nice man in the white coat will bring you some milk and cookies, take you to your rubber room and tuck you in.

Tell him to leave your rubber ducky under the bed.

Whatever. I don't greatly care who you are - whether you are curious (who placed his dog ad in the Buffalo paper) or some other religie clone makes no difference. When you scroll back to the dog story, there is no time stamp on the posts, just dates. "Same day, same time span, one right after the other" does not hold water, it is merely a willfully erroneous assumption, a self deception... you are clearly used to that. Mind your 9th commandment.
