I said, I prefer to form opinion based on peoples individuality.
Lucky for other atheists, I would never judge them collectively either-especially not by some of the ignorant postings of those claiming to be such on this thread.
(Because I cannot fathom the vileness and hatred that must lie within anyone that posts such rants like "all atheists are perverts, evil deviant scourges of the earth, child molesters..rapists, insert whatever other ignorant blahblahIgnorantblahblah.....)
That chit's for losers.
You "would never judge them collectively..."?

Perhaps that is fundamental to your preference for the third commandment to be interpreted as "talk nice" rather than than "don't be a hypocrite."

13:13 Therefore I speak to them in parables: because they seeing
see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which
saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and
seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
13:15 For this people's heart is become gross, and [their] ears
are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at
any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with
[their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and
should be converted, and I should heal them.
13:16 But blessed [are] your eyes, for they see: and your ears,
for they hear.
Amen to that;
Moses said in Deut 18;15
The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.

Jesus said to the Jewa

John 5;45
"But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set. 46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. 47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say

Oh, shut up, idiot. I comprehend everything here. I know when people, like you, are either disingenuous or stupid in their claimed opinions on logic.

You can't refute this:
_Ummm_ wrote:

Nobody that understands logic would state that faith is logical. It is not. They are mutually exclusive. The application of faith requires committing multiple logical fallacies (false cause, personal incredulity, begging the question, black or white, etc.).
There is a good chance that you don't even understand it. Which is probably why you make up stupid definitions.
TruthIs wrote:

Theoretically, if an instituion of religion were to donate funding to Science, then yes, Science could be done via religion.
That's utterly idiotic. Science is "done via" scientists, and through the scientific process. By nobody else and through no other process. It doesn't matter who funds it. Any person or organization can fund science if they chose, even if they have the most disgustingly anti-science opinions in existence. And they get no credit for doing anything other than supplying dollars to the people who really do things.

I honestly can't even comprehend what kind of a moron you must be if you think this line of thought is a valid response to a person saying "I'm saying you can't do science with religion". They are right. You can't do science with religion. Period. Quit being stupid.
TruthIs wrote:
<quoted text>
That is EXACTLY what I have been referencing to (Repeatedly) and what I personally think Eisntiens quote to be saying. That is another reason why I like the quote. Science AND religion, CAN and DO often exist harmoniously, for those who are logical ad rational enough to allow it to anyway. Are you agreeing?
I know plenty of "religious" people who are intelligent, and plenty of non-religious people who are extremely ignorant. I prefer to form opinion based upon individuality, rather than lump and labelduhm type, limited statisTics.
I never believed the human race evolved from "monkeys" to start with, once again finding that lame pictograph of ignorance that wsa shoved down the throats of school children everywhere in the 60's, to be nothing but ignorance, to those with some actual intelligence in knowing better anyway. That some people do find that ape theory with any sort or actuality does however, explain the lacking in intelligence, lower level of your quote.
See, this is why nobody with any intelligence will ever respect your opinions. You yammer on and on about how science and religion can exist harmoniously, blah blah blah. Then, in the very next paragraph, you (based only on your religion) try to take a big steaming dump on science.
I don't care if you agree, because your anti-science opinions don't matter, but this is the reality: evolution is just as real as gravitation, valence bonding, atomic structure, plate tectonics, and anything else that we all know is real but is only a scientific "theory". The nature of a theory, in science, is that it is the pinnacle of comprehensiveness and reliability, and is more rigorously tested than anything in science.
There are libraries full of information and museums full of evidence that support evolution. So that means that you don't get to invalidate it by saying "I ain't been evolved from no monkey!!! God done made me out of dirt on the 6th day! Them evolutionists is dummer than me!". All that does is make you look stupid and demonstrate to the world exactly how incompatible religion and science are.

<quoted text>I agree there. I think if any rational person would spend the day Googeling their beliefs and reading their history then they would be a lot less religious at the end of the day. The JWs are the worse on flip flopping on their beliefs and they just say "the light got brighter" BS.

I had these Mormons come over one time and one of them didn't say much and you could just tell the other one was a stick in the mud. They didn't stay long but the next day the guy that didn't say much came back with a different guy and asked if they could still get those beers I offered the day before. The only reason they were knocking on doors was because they didn't want to disappoint their parents.

If I remember correctly they only knock on doors for two years out of their lives. These kids were almost done with their "tour" as I called it but they were interesting to talk to. There was a lot they didn't know about their humble beginnings.

What a wasted youth some of us have had because of religion.
Sad. Sounds like they wasted that time indeed

<quoted text>A thousand years is like a day to God so what we consider OT law, to God that was just his rules last week. So last week God was having his people kill men, women and children not to mention stoning chiding that were disobedient to their parents. I just don't see how people can get that God is a God of love after they have read the OT. The God of the OT and the God of the NT are two totally different Gods in my opinion.
I have said before, it almost seems like Jesus had to mature Himself during that time. It would be frustrating that the beings you create could sway so far from original intentions.
I see this with my own children. I know what I have taught them, and I still scratch my head when they do the opposite.

God recommendation from the sin of habitual masturbation.

Matthew 5:30
And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

Has anybody seen a lot of right handed amputees in church?

In the '80's the holy rollers (Vogel, Tanner) were passing anti-porn laws in Volusia County. The results came back that sex crimes were higher in their county than in Orange. Their answer was that "their young men were going to Orlando and getting all sexed up then coming home and acting out on it." Then there was Simms having hissy fits about people wearing their birthday suits on the remotest parts of Playalinda Beach...
You have to understand the religie mentality of east central Florida to make sense of it.... Right, Curious?

That potential drive by attack might have been caused by a school of fish, seeking revenge, for your having shotgunned one of their members.
