Atheism isn't a religion. It's a personal relationship with reality.
Isn't it great there are actually people mature enough and logical enough, to realize that all cults, including those who ven∑er∑a∑tive∑ly choose the cult of atheism, also have TONS of people that have personal relationships with "reality".

Last week 100,000 innocent children individually prayed that the beatings would stop. Half of them have been beaten to death, while the other half still cry as they pray for the beatings to stop.
Last night 1,000,000 innocent children prayed for food so they will not starve to death. Half of them are too weak from starvation to rise out of bed and will die in a day or two and the other half had nothing to eat this morning, again.
Prayer does nothing, if your god was real and he answered prayers but ignored these innocent children because it is more important that a middle class church going family get a new car or get a more expensive house than fu ck your god
How many of them did you feed?
I'll bet ANY Christian has fed more than you!
Thanks again!

While christians are bashing Atheist or gay people it is good but when some one speaks out about the evil christian cult they have no respect.
You get what you give and as long as the hate filled christian cult is judging and condemning people, violently attacking people, forcing their cult on to people they deserve NO respect at all
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world, but that the world through him may be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him, is not condemned: but he that
believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not
believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

Sure. But your post suggested that not believing in miracles would mean you don't get to have a miracle. But since there is *no evidence* that intercessory prayer does anything at all I see no reason for this.
Look, people die every day. Since most people are religious that means people like you, who pray to God, die every day. In fact, statistically, praying people die just as frequently as atheists.
If prayer has not statistical effect and is only backed up by personal testimonies how can you possibly believe in it? Statistics remove bias to the greatest degree possible. And when you rack up more and more studies those statistics tell a tale that is verified by hard facts. Testimonies are not reliable.
Here's a test. Pray to God that you will fly. Then go outside and see if you can fly.
If that's too extreme try something else.
Pray to God that you find a five dollar bill today just lying someplace. Then see if you do.
You almost certainly won't. But try it again tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that. Keep doing it until you DO find one. Then compare the time it took for the event to happen to the number of times you prayed for it. Tell me if you think it is a miracle.
Why can't reality just be reality? Why do we need to add a layer of magic to make it palatable?
Because sometimes that layer of (let's use the word faith- instead of magic, shall we) can ulitimetly be the optimal placement piece in the jigsaw puzzle of life.

And really, anyone who would deem such has "baduh" is a few cards short of playing with a whole deck, logically.

I can't, for the life of me, figure out why some people can't appreciate things for what they are. Our world is an absolutely amazing and beautiful place (well, maybe not Detroit). The universe we live in is jaw-droppingly powerful, terrifying, and yet stunningly beautiful as well. So many people refuse to see any of it without the cloudy and dismissive lens of religion. It's sad.

I "KNOW" you do not....
Just like you do NOT know how much I have in my wallet...
Just because "YOU" do not know, don't mean He's not real...
He saved me, and I hope the same for you!
That would be funny though...
You'd change your handle, quit your church, and post
how wrong you were on here, as we do!

I should add to this.
Not just the gullible, naive people.
It's the ones who are so insecure, guilty(Yaa is a classic example), frightened, and lonely that they will grasp at a fantasy to feel better.
Not feared of anything, and...
It wasn't I who grasped the Lord...
He saved me!
Hoping the same for you!

I read the following brilliant quote somewhere but have no idea where.
Thought you would like it.
"No, I do not respect your religious beliefs.
I respect your right to HAVE them.
I respect your right to PEACEFULLY EXPRESS them.
I do NOT respect your "right" to tell me I am an "EVIL" person.
I do NOT respect your "right" to tell me I am going to "HELL."
I do not respect IGNORANCE.
I do not respect BRAINWASHING.
I do not respect CULTS.
I do not respect your RELIGION. And I don't have to."
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

So christians are not perfect? Than they should stop trying to lord over every one and passing judgement.
If a homeless man went in to a church here he would be asked to leave, and if he did not leave the police would be called. How do I know this? Because it happened and then that evening some young men went in to his camp by the church and beat him to death. They got 7 years in prison for murdering the man.
