It's my answer lol. Only answer. Your challenge that you don't agree. I believe every word and I'm HAPPY JOYFUL PEACEFUL even when the world crashes around me. You as well?
I didn't say I disagreed with you, I said it doesn't qualify as an answer. If you asked me what the average of three numbers is and I replied with "the answer is in a calculator" that would not be a valid response. Would it?

If you are asking whether I'm happy with my life. Then absolutely. I live a good life and I'm very comfortable. And if the world ended today (and I was aware of it) I would be sad, but certainly not afraid.

Like Oxy or like the side effects of the other latest and greatest drugs? "If you show symptoms of a heart attack dial 911 right away and if you experience thoughts of suicide you might want to discontinue use." I was trying to find a decent station while travelling last week and scanned past an xtian station - there was a commercial "save up to $500 on Viagra." Be fruitful and multiply?

It's America, dammit. He's got a first amendment right to express happiness with his delusions. Even if he isn't, he can lie about it - Fox news said so in court.

this would be a good thing.when i went to school we had a lady come once a week, she didnt teach religion, she told bible stories,it was a good break, she told the stories with pictures, also the first thing in the morning, we sang songs said the pledge for about 15 minutes.it set the tone for the day,as a child grows into adult hood, they will adopt their own beliefs, this is a stepping stone. they will believe in something, why not let them start with the goods things, if they dont hear good things when they are small, they wont know they have a choice.as i got older and heard different things,i choose what was to me the best, our children need a good positive in their lives.for some it will be the only time they will hear the name god, jesus, lord.at least they will have a choice.
This is good and would hurt no one. Simply stated...

<quoted text>Thanks for the info. The things I read made it look like Smith's dad and brother were always in. I'd post the links but I can't say I really care. If I had my choice I would of rather of been raised Mormon, they seem like they would be easier to get out of. At least they believe in education and don't seem near as stupid as the cult I was raised in.

You represent your religion a lot better than Known Crap represents the JWs.
Thanks.

I guess you didn't understand the example I provided.

I'll try again.

If you asked me "what is 2 + 2?" and I replied with "the answer is in a math book" would you think that qualifies as an answer?

<quoted text>If you have faith in a God,maybe not the true God as you described, let say a muslim or hindu, does that keep you from eternal hell? Or do you have to be christian no matter what denomination to escape the everlasting torture by God?
We believe that everyone has the chance to hear and choose to accept the full gospel of Jesus Christ. If not on this earth, then in the Spirit world after this life where we all go to await judgement day.
Since I know several will say that isn't Biblical, I'll remind them of the scriptures where Christ mentions a prison, and a paradise. This is the Spirit world. For example, Christ went to teach the souls in prison after His death. Why, if they had no chance to accept His teachings? To mock them? I don't think so.
So I would imagine that all the people who didn't believe there is an afterlife, they may be more willing to listen after they are still aware of their surroundings after death, right? Now, I don't know if people will have another chance to hear it if they already rejected it on earth. Who knows? But I would imagine hearing only pieces of the gospel isn't really fair, since they are still kind of ignorant of the full gospel, even if the ignorance was willful. I would think they would still have the ability to learn it in its entirety and then decide. Not for me to make those rules though.

Anyway, as I said before, that is why we do baptisms for the dead. Since we believe that baptism is a necessary ordinance for salvation, we do this work for them, in case they decide in the Spirit world to accept the gospel. It's still their choice.

No, no it wasn't. "In God We Trust" was introduced in the mid 1950s in response to the Soviets.

I understood your response. It was a deflection. You're avoiding actually answering my question.
Maybe you're afraid to think about it?
