How did you get the notion that I don't lump Catholics with Baptists, Shiites and JWs into the same seething mass? I hadn't heard that Catholics had asked for any FEMA or FDEM supplies, but if they did I'd not spare them the speech. When a Catholic gets uppity and starts proselytizing their sect and pushing their agenda(s) on the rest of the country, be assured I "pick on" them, too.
I suppose you never heard of the Crusades and the cruel Inquisitions when the catholics forced (not by proselytizing) their religious beliefs on others, especially the Spanish countries and the American indians! Have at it! Go for it!

You were talking about Pharaohs. Egypt. The Nile River....boats.
Yes, namely the pyramids of Giza, in the desert, on the outskirts of Cairo, where it would take camels and carts, to haul boats, to de Nile.

Khufu ship
The reconstructed "Solar barge" of Khufu

The history and function of the ship are not precisely known. It is of the type known as a "solar barge," a ritual vessel to carry the resurrected king with the sun god Ra across the heavens.
-----
The desert...
Hmm..archelogical evidence of eight (8) different types of animals (not including aquatic creatures)...where ever would be all the "critterlife" that we know of today? Pre-evolutionary?

According to archeologists, the Sahara was much more densely populated more than twenty thousand years ago when the desert's climate was not as arid as it is today. Fossils, rock art, stone artifacts, bone harpoons, shells, and many other items have been found in areas which today are considered too hot and dry to inhabit. The artifacts were located near remains of giraffe, elephant, buffalo, antelopes, rhinoceros, and warthog, as well as those of fish, crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and other aquatic animals, indicating the presence of lakes and swamps in the Sahara.[5]

Between twenty thousand and twelve thousand years ago, severe conditions returned and the Sahara was largely depopulated, except in highland retreats where there were springs and surface pools fed by aquifers. By ten thousand years ago, gatherers and fishers had reoccupied the replenished lakes, streams, and swamps. There are some traces of possible agriculture from eight thousand years ago, and more verifiable evidence of cattle-keeping in the mountains by seven thousand years ago, perhaps in response to more arid conditions. That population would leave again three to four thousand years ago as conditions deteriorated. The Sahara became a largely impenetrable barrier to humans, with only scattered settlements around the oases but little trade. The one major exception was the Nile Valley.

And camels...where were the camels for 1200 or so years?

The earliest crossings of the Sahara, about 1000 B.C.E., were by oxen and horse, but such travel was rare until the third century C.E. when the domesticated camel was introduced.

I haven't seen any inquisitors or conquistadors typing ignorance on Topix. Let me know when you successfully resurrect one. Until then, the resident protestants will do.
BTW... catholic means universal. Capitalize Catholic when referring to the denomination.

Do you know what is the richest organization on earth? CATHOLIC why not go pick on them for awhile they don't help their own!
Really? Research shows otherwise-

RNS-Catholic and other church-run health care systems in the U.S. are more efficient and provide higher quality care than their secular counterparts, according to a new Thomson Reuters study.

The study looked at 255 health care systems and found that Catholic and other church-owned systems are "significantly more likely to provide higher quality care and efficiency" than both investor-owned and nonprofit health systems.

There was no statistical difference between Catholic and other church-run health systems, according to the study, which built on information gleaned from Reuters' "Top 100 Hospitals" report.

"Our data suggest that the leadership teams ... of health systems owned by churches may be the most active in aligning quality goals and monitoring achievement across the system," the report stated.

The report was short on specific reasons for religious hospitals' success, saying that further study will be required to understand the differences. The performance measures included mortality rates, the number of medical complications, readmission rates, lengths of stay, profitability, and other factors.

The Catholic church in the U.S. runs 624 hospitals and 499 long-term health care facilities, according to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

"When your mission is rooted in Jesus who healed the sick, only top quality care will do," said Sister Mary Ann Walsh, a spokeswoman for the U.S. bishops. "This study confirms what many take for granted. The church leads in providing quality health care efficiently."

Thomson Reuters provides "information solutions" and data to businesses and executives in the health care, finance, legal and media industries.

When all you use in the Watchtower publications to prove your point you come up short. Do a little research man, its a cult.
As far as that goes, so are Oboma voter/worshippers, beer drinkers, hell raisers, dolluh lickers, material worshippers, the local garden club, national sports teams, anything that is organized en masse could actually, via that socioIllogically twisted and warped rather depraved pattern, just about lumpandlabelDuhm any and all personal preferences as "cults".

The word sect and the word cult is prettu much the same. Do you know that the Apostle Paul and others were called the sect of the Nazarine (who were followers of Jesus)
So when you call Jehovah's Witnesses a cult you are putting us in good company. THANKS!

Judaism is the worst religion of them all.

The Talmud , Verse Gittin 57a states that " Jesus is burning in hell in his own semen "

The Jewish holy book , The Talmud , also suggested Jesus be murdered in 4 other Sadistic ways. They suggested decapitating Jesus , they suggested " sinking him in dung " , and Jews also suggested pouring a boiling substance down Jesus' throat to burn out his insides!

In Islam and Christianity , anyone who believes ... Can convert to their religipns. In Judaism you are not allowed to convert unless you can prove that your mother , or your father is a Jew! It is a Jewish only religion

The Talmud also says that it is okay to have sex with a girl as long as she is 3 years old , or older!

To join a synagogue , you have to sign a written contract to pay so much money to the synagogue.
The more money you pay , the better seating you get.
Also , if you can not afford to pay , they will take you to court and sue you!

One man was sued for about 100,000 dollars when he couldn't afford to keep his end of the written contract to pay

Judaism is a racist religion
Zionism is even more racist

But most Christians have no idea and believe it is similar to Christianity because their preacher says "Israel"
A lot. Christians also believe that Jews are god's favorite race in the world and that Jewish blood is more valuable than the blood of anyone else

You can't give any serious thought to the rabid dog spews of some the members of the Fear Spreading, Ego-tripping, self-serving Book Haters cult, as seen within the pages of this church of topix thread.

Due to their underdeveloped (or lack of any at all) cortextual regions, they are stuck, like muck, in the limbo of their own stunted limbic systemic piles of mess, unable to comprehend that the drivel of that which they often disseminate in ignorance, is often that of just nothing more than mere negative opinion, of that which they do not agree with, failing then to realize, blind to the realities, of the commonalities that all humanity possesses at the cores of it's collective brainstem.

Of course there are some GOOD Jewish people, just as are some good Catholic ones, Baptist ones, JW ones, Mormon ones, Buddist, HariKrishna's etc. etc.
It's the thieves, crooks, thugs, the depraved, the ego-maniacal, the deranged and likewise, no matter the race, creed or color are the ones that are the questionable dredges of any world society.

Well , lets see what Rabbi Ovedia Yosef had to say about Gentiles!( Gentile means a non Jew )

Source : Wikipedia

In an October 2010 sermon, Yosef stated that "The sole purpose of non-Jews is to serve Jews". He said that Gentiles served a divine purpose: "Why are Gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat. That is why Gentiles were created."[36] In the same article on the Jerusalem Post, according to the journalist who interviewed him, Yosef compared Gentiles to donkeys whose life has the sole purpose to serve the master:“In Israel, death has no dominion over them... With gentiles, it will be like any person – they need to die, but [God] will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one’s donkey would die, they’d lose their money. This is his servant... That’s why he gets a long life, to work well for this Jew."

"Gentiles were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world – only to serve the People of Israel."[37]
