Most people who do not believe in "god" will claim to be christian when confronted in public about religious beliefs to avoid persecution. The number of people who go to church at least one day a year makes the christian cult a very small minority.
The true number of "christians" is about one fourth of the claimed number.)

"You are worthless without him.
You need him in your life.
You are unloveable and unworthy of love.
You are evil and nothing you can ever do is
good enough to be accepted by him.

But he will love you, anyway, despite your
state of unloveability, worthlessness,
and evilness.
Obey everything he say to do.
He knows what is best for you, despite any
plan, hopes, or dreams you have of
your own that is not part of how he thinks
you need to behave and what he
thinks you should do with your life.
You need to submit completely to his will."

When will Christians realize that their doctrine
they adhere to, that their
mindset, and everything that they think is
right about their lives is exactly what the
DSM-IV classifies as 'battered wife syndrome?'
---The Thinker

----------
Perhaps it should be called "battered person syndrome.
The self-loathing condition is the same regardless of gender.

<quoted text>When my wife took a "worlds religions" class in college the professor made the statement that they where studying the foolishness of other people because the only true religion is the christian religion.
If that could be stopped and there was no bias, just the study of all religions than that would be great.
Also, if the study of the christian bible was the entire bible, not a few chosen parts I would not mind as long as there is no bias (after all reading the bible is what taught me that there is no god)
I would suggest studying I Samuel first. That way the kids could come face-to-face with the moral quandary that is God commanding his people to kill women and children.

You do not need a "god" to forgive you. If you have wronged some one and feel bad about it than make it right with that person.
You are perfect with faults, that makes you a human being. You where not born "bad" or in "sin" (FACT; "Sinners" where the people whom worshiped the Egyptian God SIN, a bad action was not called a sin until the Jewish people condemned the worship of the Egyptian Gods) There is no "original sin" and we are not "born in to sin" That is a way to control people, by beating them down.
You are perfect with faults, you are a normal human

And just how is a christian church any different than a country club? Since the christian cult picks and chooses from their bible (gods word?) they do not worship a god (they worship money) so they go to a gathering where they tell each other how they are good and every one else is bad, pat themselves on the back for going to church and being better than every one else, run down every one who does not follow them, the exact same thing that snobs do at country clubs

There has not been one single writing about jesus before Constantine created him.
There are writings found that are thousands of years older than the fabled times of jesus but not one single writing until a ruler started using religion to control the masses

Ignorami = plural of ignoramus. As in both hula AND you.

Down with unions? Maybe you should take a good long look at the history of the coal industry and who CONTINUES to protect miners' conditions and health. Down with Teacher's unions? Have you ever compared how a teacher's pension stacks up against politicians' or most administrators' retirement plans?

May be a idiot, in books of many , but I do see the good in some bad ...

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots was perfectly made and never leaked. The other pot had a crack in it and by the time the water bearer reached his master's house it had leaked much of it's water and was only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." "Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?" "I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path."

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again the pot apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."

Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But if we will allow it, God will use our flaws to grace his table. In God's great economy, nothing goes to waste. Don't be afraid of your flaws. Acknowledge them, and you too can be the cause of beauty. Know that in our weakness we find our strength.

The lowest common denominator aka principal's choice? How many school board members across the nation are elected because they run on the "I'm more of a religie than the other guy"?

Satanic Priest is there not a heaven if there is a hell.Is there not a God if there is a devil. The devil was the beautifulest angel of all but was jealous .Thats how he ended up in hell. You are right there is people that goes to Church for looks. They go out and do whatever they want when they want. There are Churches that are only after numbers and money.A true Christian knows what Church to go to where the word of the Lord is preached and the spirit is The Lord will lead you where he wants you through prayer and worship.I go to a small Church and the first thing any member or preacher will say wewant you to join only if the Lord leads you here.Basically what I'm saying is don't judge the many cause of a few bad eggs.I will pray for them and for you.As a Christian I love all.
