I do however disagree with you. Jesus said that he did not come to change the laws. He did not say that once he has risen the laws would change, he never said that you could ignore the laws.
But I do not believe he even existed so..........
If you are not a hypocrite my words are not for you. I will not change your thinking and you will not change mine. So we are good unless you try to burn me at the stake.
I still say that the idea that you worship is a newly made religion and the god of the jewish people would be the most evil being if he where real.
I could be wrong but I have a chariot of iron so I am not worried about it.
A chariot of iron? I hope it's got rubber wheels. If lightning strikes that thing while you are in it, man you in deep doodie. We ain't payin' no tax on our Sunday School coloring books either. Naw.

KublaKhan, what's your take on how Jesus feels about celebrating his birthday on the 25th of december and celebrating Easter. Are there any demands in the bible that command us to do so? What if persons decide not celebrate them are they sinning?
Nowhere in the Bible that I use (KJV) does it say Jesus was born in December. Christmas is a pagan holiday, created to draw in the heathens to church. According to the account of Jesus' birth in the Bible its much more likely He was born in the spring or fall rather than winter. It is my opinion that *everyday* should be a celebration of Jesus' life (and more importantly, his death) rather than confining it to a single day of the year.

Spaceship dude you are gettin on my last nerve. Don't be messin' with Santa Claus time or the Easter Bunny cummin. Naw man you can be freakin' Scrooge if you wanna be. Jesus don't care. You just won't get any Christmas presents and the Easter Bunny will poop in your Easter Basket. Ha ha ha you will eat them thinkin' they are chocolate covered rasins. Good enough for you.

I'm no better (or worse) than you. Just a sinner.:)

Nope, the law could not be ignored. That's the problem the Jews had with Jesus in the first place. To them, he was a man who claimed to be God and they killed him. Even though their own prophets spoke of Jesus' return. While he was here, he had to obey God's Law (Law of Moses, as its called now). However, while he was here, he taught the people a new and better way, the law that we call the New Testament. Once he was finished, that law would take effect and the old law would pass from existence.

Since the Jews don't believe Jesus was ever here on Earth once, they still adhere to the old law and the majority of churches now have perverted and twisted the new law into something much more livable (in their opinion).

<quoted text>And what law did jesus give? To love god above all else and love your neighbor as you love yourself? Church people fall short of that, especially when money/wealth is involved.(My wifes mother claims you are not a good christian if you make less than $50,000 a year, her brother the deacon claims any one who is not rich can not go to heaven)
Everyone falls short of that, Satanic Priest. In its simplest form, yes, that's the "gist" of Jesus' message to the Jews and Gentiles.

With respect to your mother-in-law and her brother, they're both crazy. Why would God care how much money you make on Earth? If he doesn't care about the body you're walking around in (remember, its just dirt) why would he care about the paper you have in your wallet?

According to the mythical tales in the kjv, jesus and god are one in the same, which indicates god is not only indecisive but highly irrational and inclined to sudden violence.

Word it any way you like, earth is still here and gods law holds sway.

If you are inclined to believe such non-sense.

Everything in that statement is true, but I would have you read carefully the last four words in the first quote:

You're welcome and thank you. I would like to think I'm not a raving lunatic or a moron. As I said before, I respect your opinion and your choices. I don't agree with it, but I don't have to. The discussion could remain mature, without the name calling, but I'm afraid that it won't.

Mark 16:17-18 English Standard Version (ESV)
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.
I would like to suggest Ani-Freeze & Cobras..... Then you can heal one another with your magic hands.
Jesus is talking about his Apostles here. Anyone that tells you God talks to him or that he hears God's voice is outright lying to you. The Apostles were endowed with these powers to prove to the people they came into contact with that what they were teaching was true. God doesn't act through people anymore, once the last Apostle died (John, if I recall correctly) that power passed from the Earth.

The "healers" you see on t.v.(Benny Hinn, for example) are full of garbage.

But everything will not be accomplished until the new Kingdom is here after all the things in the book of Revelations.
Have you considered that the "savior" the jews wanted was not a god but a warrior to lead them in battle against the Roman rulers?

In biblical language, how would Jesus describe those that claim to have these powers from him? To decieve many by suggesting that they have this power through faith to make people believe that God is with them, then would this be considered a heresy by the bible to do so?

Can you quote the scriptures that support your undestanding?
