Ok Spaceship you can come on here talk about Jesus and quote from Gods word all you want but if you don't know him then you really know nothing about either .
No Jesus did not come to bring peace on earth ,He came to bring Peace between us and God and the truth about that is the real sword and it is found in his word . You and the others who use Gods word as a instruction manual should first get equipped to understand it before you start testing others by it ,until then you are only playing a silly game and using Gods word to do it .
So what if no Christian ever passes your testing as you call it to your satisfaction ? Do you think that's somehow going to cause your name to appear in the book of life on Judgement day ?
Sounds as if 'spaceship' knows God a little better. I don't sense frustration within his retorts over 'knowing' God like you... How are you so sure you haven't been fooled? What if spaceship speaks the whole-hearted truth, and you are just entirely too indoctrinated with the wrong interpretations?? Then it would be YOU thats the false prophet or the teachings you express are wrong! Same shit, different day... and another hypocrite. Don't act all high and mighty because you attend church... lol. Like.. how DARE you pretend your relationship with this.. God is better than spaceships. Your test is flawed and so is gods, get over it or get with it.

I Know God, I understand Gods Words... Others that disagree with me are just not as great as I am because I have the inside track on what all those words Mean.. All the Other people that disagree with my exact view read the same words but I actually understand them, They are not as good as I am at getting to know God...

jesus even tells you the flesh counts for nothing, yet you worship the flesh.
jesus is no omnipresent.
jesus is not omniscient.
jesus is not the ABSOLUTE
jesus is not the ALMIGHTY
jesus refers to himself as a prophet. he never claims to be the ABSOLUTE
I believe in the Father,Son and Holy Spirit . You can say what ever you want about that call me anything you wish bacause of it but i'll still go on believing just the same .

It has nothing to do with Christian groups or Christians period . It's those who have not excepted Jesus Christ as their savior and recieved the Holy Spirit who are not equipped to understand God's word .
So then you agree that "Known Fact" commentor here on topix who belongs to the group called Jehovah Witnesses has recieved the holy spirit and preaching the truth also?

thats true, you have free will to believe anything you want; whether a truth or a lie but you can't expect the rest of the world to revel in your dualistic mindset.

but the Son is not part of creation but all of it. God so loved the world not some parts of it.

a prophet has no honor in his own country; said jesus..

jesus said that he who wishes to be greatest must be servant to all.

the book of revelation tells you at the end that jesus' testimony is the Spirit of prophecy and to worship God, it doesn't say worship jesus.

again

Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

jesus is your idol

and this is the testament against you and those who practice such

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the ""uncorruptible God"" into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served ""the creature"" more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Anyone one can be fooled to some extent. Being challenge about your understandings can sometimes be unsettling. I'm agnostic and don't know if a God ever existed and so I don't fear any God.

the bible doesn't teach jesus is the WAY to salvation.

Philippians 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

when jesus said "I AM" the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT, he wasn't referring to himself.

he was referring to the "name"; which is written in the foreheads of the 144,000

Revelation 19:12
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Revelation 19:16
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Thank you ouroboros. I've got a book on symbolism and it is very interesting to see how some symbols have appeared across the world and their meaning remained the same or meant something altogether different. In a time when most could not read, a symbol could be a great teaching aid. The masons were good at that. The operative mason used the trowel to spread cement, but the speculative mason uses the trowel as a tool to remind him to spread the cement of brotherly love. I think it makes a nice pie server.

<quoted text>it's a pretty good read but actually it's a composite of books and letters; depending on which group you belong to, determines the sequence of books and the canon. there are 6 basic canons. each author attempting to relate in his language and experience the idea of a eternal/infinite paradigm.
<quoted text>so do you worship the beast who once was, now is not, yet will come? jesus
"so do you worship the beast who once was, now is not, yet will come? jesus"
You know... I've contemplated that possibilty, but
after reading the Bible, and the fact that every book
in the Bible points to the Son of God, from Genesis, to
Revelation, and the need for Salvation in His person!
Plus the fact that I've survived many attacks of satan, and
know now how he works... Christ is not the beast...

There many be many God's I dont know for sure , and I dont want to question that eaither. I just know that I pray only to the one , and it seems like I have done alot of that lately... Here's a daily one....
Once upon a time, when God had finished making the world, he wanted to leave behind a piece of His own divinity, a spark of His essence, a promise to man of what he could become, with effort. He looked for a place to hide this precious gift because, He explained, what man could find too easily would never be valued by him.
"Then you must hide this gift on the highest mountain peak on earth," said one of his counselors.
God shook His head, "No, for man is an adventuresome creature and he will soon enough learn to climb the highest mountain peaks."
"Hide it then, O Great One, in the depths of the earth."
"I think not," said God. "for man will one day discover that he can dig into the deepest parts of the earth."
"In the middle of the ocean then, Master?"
God shook His head. "I've given man a brain, you see, and one day he'll learn to build ships and cross the mightiest oceans."
"Where then, Master?" cried His counselors.
God smiled, "I'll hide it where every man and woman will be able to find it if they look sincerely and deeply enough. I'll hide it in their heart."

Today is give back Tuesday ..Could we all give one thing today? Lend a helping hand, give away some things we no longer need.. Feed someone who might need it or open the door for a stranger? We do not have to be rich to do something for someone . We can each turn things around, if only for today.
A long time ago in a far off world,
Where clouds of a different color swirled,
Lived the Bagfill Folk whose name it derives
From the way they tended to live their lives.
Each child when they became of age
Was taken aside by a self-styled sage
And given a bag made of magic and silk.
You never have seen a bag of this ilk.
'Take this bag,' the sage would say.
'You must take it everywhere, every day
'And collect pretty things and put them therein.
'To abstain from this task is a mortal sin.'
'And one day, I cannot tell you the date
'It might be soon or it might be late
'The bag will be full and on that day
'Your happiness ever more will stay.'
So out they would set, with their bags in hand,
Making their way through this far off land,
Doing their best to fill up their sacks
With treasures and trinkets and other nik naks.
But no matter how many prizes they got,
(Some got a few and some got a lot),
The bags never seemed to get any fuller
And the searching began to get duller and duller.
'What is the point?' they began to ask.
'Why are we doing this thankless task?'
Then the sages would come and make them feel small
For daring to question the point of it all.
One day there appeared (we’re not sure from where)
A man who the fear merchants just could not scare
He strode through the land with his head held high,
Giving and helping without asking why.
The sages tried every trick in the book
To make others think that this man was a crook,
But to those who had met him, it soon became clear
That his motives were pure and his actions sincere.
They followed and asked him why he was not scared
And from where he was getting the things that he shared
'It’s simple,' he said,'needs no thinking about,
'I just took my bag and turned it inside out.'
Nice post!
Thanks :-)
