That sounds like a good job for you, "Satin" Boy. Jump right in there and destroy him. Maybe you can beat him to death with your purse. LOL.

What I take those scriptures to mean is that we were in the plans of creation before creation was created.
you just contradicted yourself here. whether a potential, or actual, it's always existed.
Ignorance is Dangerous wrote:

you're bordering on pre-destination; which is contrary to free will.
Ignorance is Dangerous wrote:
<quoted text> when he started this whole thing. He knew some would fall away and some would hold on, but he doesn't force his will at least not anymore.
again you going from predestination to freewill. you're idea of god is that "he" is double minded.
Ignorance is Dangerous wrote:
<quoted text>For a time I would say yes he did for the Sake of the covenant he made with his chosen people, before the Messiah came Jesus Christ. But now he isn't, man is simply destroying himself now. God's hand is not in the Wars anylonger.
so you basically believe that IT changes it's mind on a whim?

God can do whatever he wants, he didn't have to create us at all, nor do we have to do his will, but there are consequences to everything we do and also to what he does as well. We all reap what we sow, Jesus was called the Man of Sorrows and even before the flood of Noah, in Genesis Chapter 6 he said that he repented that he even created Man and that it will be so again at the end of this world if you read in Matthew 24. Gotta go for now.

Sure you want to hit me, christians have always want to kill what does not mirror themselves. I also have a wish for you, I wish your babies get against the rocks since you think it's ok for any god to kill babies. If that's your god, I wish on the lucky stars your babies die at his loving hands, yep, that's a loving god.

My god would see no reason to kill a baby, he would nurture it.

Puff, puff, pass.

"What I take those scriptures to mean is..."
"When you come to fully understand God,.."

And here we have displayed the problem with Christians (indeed, religions in general).

They believe they can, with their minds the size of less than a dust mote, comprehend the "mind" of an eternal, universe-creating (imaginary) being.
Yaa believes he is very special since Yahweh talked to him.

Fantasy at it finest...not to mention the hubris.

"God and I have a *relationship." Really?
How desparate for self-worth does one have to be to believe in an imaginary friend and THEN TELL EVERYONE ABOUT IT?
Believe it if you want but KEEP IT TO YOURSELF, people.
You should be embarrassed. I am embarrassed for you...

Excellent point.
However the bible does credit him with killing.
It also says he changes his mind.
And as for dying, I think he is on the ropes.
It won't be long now.
Atheists will be throwing "God is Dead" parties.
I think it should be declared a National Holiday.

If I am blind, I can run my hand across the back of a shell and celebrate beauty. If I have no legs, I can sit in quiet wonder before the restless murmurs of the sea. If I am wounded in spirit, I can reach out my hand to those who are hurting. If I am lonely, I can go among those who are desperate for love. There is no tragedy or injustice so great, no life so small and inconsequential, that we cannot bear witness to the light in the quiet acts and hidden moments of our days.

And who can say which of these acts and moments will make a difference? The universe is vast and is a magical membrane of meaning, stretching across time and space, and it is not given to us to know her secrets and her ways. Perhaps we were placed here to meet the challenge of a single moment; perhaps the touch we give will cause the touch that will change the world.

Good day all

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares,
its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.

We cannot undo a single act we performed;
we cannot erase a single word we said.
Yesterday is gone forever.

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow
with all its possible adversities, its burdens,
its large promise and its poor performance;
Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow's sun will rise,
either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise.
Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow,
for it is yet to be born.

This leaves only one day, Today.
Any person can fight the battle of just one day.
It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad,
it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

Let us, therefore, Live but one day at a time.

Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days. All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten will pass to someone else.

Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance. It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.

Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear. So too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to do lists will expire.

The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.

It won't matter where you came from or what side of the tracks you lived on at the end.

It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant. Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.

So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?

What will matter is not what you bought but what you built, not what you got but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success but your significance.

What will matter is not what you learned but what you taught.

What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage, or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.

What will matter is not your competence but your character.

What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone.

What will matter is not your memories but the memories that live in those who loved you.

What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.

Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.

Choose to live a life that matters.

Who decided to do away with it, because the bible does not say that (you got conned) And that does not answer the question about your god demanding you kill innocent babies.
Now how is it that your church today gets to decide that they do not want to follow the laws set forth by god?
Please post the chapter and verse of the bible where this is written

does't that make your idea of IT a hypocrite?

the god of genesis is a plural. jesus, or adam, if you like is not the ABSOLUTE. the ABSOLUTE cannot be separate/apart from any aspect of itself.

he who wishes to be greatest must be servant to all.

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven

the children of sorrow/suffering in service to the ONE INFINITE INTELLIGENCE await you.
