it will make sense when flat lick and /dewitt school (new) is built close to it on a certain track of land, why the junk yard was sold and moved somewhere else eye sore for facing a school and the dollar store will be great to get supplies without going to town, may hurt some local bussiness that has struggled to stay in flat lick so long--JUST WAIT and see, where the big money goes if things don't change--Welcome Dollar General store, hope the barbourville manager don't manage it, she is so very rude
Dollar daze is telling the truth its already in the works to build the new school next to where the dollar store is if the same school board members get back in this election. Theres alot of money to be made on somebodys part when they agree to pay five times what its worth and you dont even wanna think of the property values,Thats what its all about!

If it's anything like what the Barbourville Dollar store is Jacob, what (they did) on me was that you will fill out a job application there in the store, and then the manager will take you back into the office there, and for about an hour, you will take a test, that ask you all kinds of questions, just be honest is all, and try to answer them. Did I get hired? No, afraid not, don't know why either, but I was told to come back in August of 2013 and try again. Now I have also as well that you have to go online an put in an application don't know for sure if that's true or not. Well hope everything works out for you!

i sure hope they treat customers better than the one in town does.no one is hardly ever at the register.i know they are useually putting up stock an they are probably made to do that, but thats just bad mangement.i have had to stand at the register for over 10 min. before.it's a wonder that someone has'nt stole the money from the register yet.

I'm sorry, but what I meant to say was that if it's any type of legitiment business at all, the cash register would be locked, therefore, nobody could walk out with no money at all, sorry for the mistype!

10 min at register? I know this is an old post but has that fire been put out yet! Besides cashiers should be close enough to register to see people but aren't allowed to just stand there all the time when there's nobody to be checked out.
