Marry is a great jailer, might vote her out, but you will never compete with her. She cares and is honest. She don't give you the knox county fluck you like most gaurds. Even tho dave stewart is on top of everything, he is a good guy to. But what goes under your noise dave don't hurt you either. But if only they would stop steressing the smoking and go for the source, us inmates would far a lot better. It only hurts there votes. Tabacco will be in the jail, weather you like it or not. It don't matter if the trusties go out or not. We will smoke, it takes a convict to stop a convict. Church goers don't think like a convict. We smokes a pound a day when me and Jackie Bowls were in there.

Listen stupid, my argument is not with you but you just keep trying to make this personal. Theres no point in arguing with you, Its a waste of time. This November when the new candidates sign up to run for office we can pick one and support their campaign. I've got a feeling its going to be an interesting election this time. The politicians we foolishly put into office the last time are going to get a sweet surprise. Now go away and play your playground games with someone else, I'm not interested.

Limbertwig, has more gumption than anyone in Knox Co.
He wasn't at meetings wanting to know why people were given permission to mine coal under a public road.
He wasn't there to ask why we can't keep a hospital up and running.
He wasn't there asking why we have a business that is putting lives in danger.
He wasn't asking for a handout.
He was asking why we are paying taxes on a service that is used publicly throughout Ky and we were denied this service. Apparently, this service is helpful to law officers and citizens in all the other counties other than ours (?).

Feb, 2013 Times tribune
At issue is the corrections management system known as JailTracker. Available online, JailTracker provides access to information about an inmate, including photos, physical description, their history behind bars, scheduled release dates and other records.

While neighboring jails in Whitley and Laurel counties use JailTracker, the Knox County Jail does not.

“We took it off a year ago because it was unfair to those who were arrested and later found innocent. Once your picture is on there, it used to be on there forever,” Knox County Judge-Executive J. M. Hall told those attending the session.

Jailer Mary Hammons echoed Hall’s sentiment on having pictures on the online system, adding that several children of parents who have been on JailTracker but later found innocent have been embarrassed in public.

A Barbourville newspaper recently made an open records request to get the pictures from the jail and run them on a weekly basis.

While some in the audience agreed if someone was guilty of a crime, their picture should be on the page for all to see, some magistrates disagreed, including 5th District Magistrate Guilio Cima.

“Even though they say they’re innocent until proven guilty, as far as the public goes, they’re guilty when they see their picture,” Cima said.

“I see it from both angles,” added Hall, who said he had met with the Jail Committee earlier Wednesday for an update on the situation. The committee did talk with JailTracker about what could be done.

“Now they’re saying they’re giving Mary (Hammons) some options when it can be run. They’re saying now they can run pictures for so many days and then the pictures are taken off, in say 30 days,” Hall said.

Everyone arrested is innocent until proven guilty whether they are on jailtracker, local news or the newspaper. Saying that a picture on jailtracker automatically makes them guilty in the eyes of the public is crazy.

I dont need your encouragement or your cheerleading. I took this issue on and I will see it through to the end. I want honesty and transparency in my government. I hope someone with character runs against the politicians we have now. We will see after November 6th who they are, I can only hope its someone deserving of my vote because the politicians we have now shure isn't getting it.

I was not aware of Limbertwig running for any office. He was merely making a point of an information tool that nearly every county in Ky.is using except Knox County. That county is not using the tool because someones son, daughter or family member was arrested and the family had enough clout to avert public scrutiny that should be as public as for John or Jane Doe. Simply agreeing is not supporting. Keep the pressure on Mr. D.
