I do believe they should turn it back on, but I think if charges are dropped, or you're found not guilty, your own info should come down immediately. But other than that, I'm with you, taxes paid for this stuff, and it should be available.
Well we have had different convo with different officials and each blame the other. Larry Hammons, rest his sole, never took it off. I think the decision was taken out of Mary hands to cut jailtracker for public viewing. Innocent people being abused by jailtracker is a bunch of nothing. People with pull and lots of money got this site taken off. I can't wait till election time Limbertwig then we the citizens of Knox County will do what it takes to get them OUT! Now I am settled and planning for the next election. We need someone that does not brown nose to climb up the ladder.

While on the subject of why it was taken off, I was told by different officials that the magistrates had a big hand in doing so. Instead of taking them at their word a person should be asking the magistrates because after all they can be replaced also....

Don't bet on it... We have had Many votes over the last many years and before every one I have heard "we the citizens of Knox County will do what it takes to get them OUT!" and it seldom works out that way... I am becoming more and more jaded in our voting public as it seems we are fulfilling the "When the Best and Brightest Leave you are left with the Worst and Dimmest" rule of a downward spiraling area....

This is all very true.

You know during the last election there was a person people considered of the lower class and didn't stand a chance in winning his position. Well needless to say I along with many others helped this person to the position he now holds. He has done more with the community than other did in the 2 terms they held that position.
I will say this "times are not getting better any time soon". I could go down a list of services that are not offered or even executed in this area. I will wait until election time to point them out. Just like the hands of coal in Barbourville. What a joke, when you have officials run to the end of the line to get a picture taken for the paper about 2 minutes before it was over. Everything is political I wish people would question the ones that are making decisions for us all because it is not working.

So the elections in Knox Co. will be won and lost based on jail tracker being on or off? And we wonder why we continue to end up with crooked politicians. That's just a stupid reason to vote or not vote for someone. Only in Knox Co.!!!!!!!

The Magistrate's and Judge Excutive are the Fiscal Court and they control everything pertaining to the buisness of the County. When I was at the meeting not one of them was in favor of opening jailtracker up to the public. The Sherrif and Jailer upheld the Fiscal Court's decission and agreed with them.

It' not about their decission to hide the jailtracker from us. It's about our right's and at the very least we the people should have been asked. Hell put it on a Ballot and let us vote one way or the other.

No, it's not how an election is won or lost by jailtracker being taken off. It's how people voted in decide for the people what they think is best without asking the persons (tax payers) if this is their choice. People that don't pay taxes don't understand that concept. But Santa will for sure be at the jail to surprise the very people that are a terror to our fine county. HoHoHo...

the problem i find with people that are bitching and crying about things that happen in the county is that most of them dont even pay taxes.an they have never had to get out of bed an go to work, they get everything handed to them already.

Does it have anything at all to do with the Ryan Foley case? It seems strange that it went offline at the same time Ryan was missing, and it never came back on.
Personally I think it was because of Charlie G. Dixon. That's when it went offline.

They need to close the Knox County Detention center. If you only knew what the employees do to prisoners. and the reason they don't want jail tracker back on. The sheriff dept don't want you to see how bad they
beat the people they arrest.

Yea right. This obviously i not true. Why when these people get out of jail, do they not get an attorney and try to sue for then being beaten like you claim they are?

Why does nobody ever file a complaint about being beaten, or why do they not go to the media when they get out and tell their story? Because it simply does not happen. You are telling a complete lie.

Name us someone who was beaten up in jail and has told their story to anyone?

Not only that, just because jailtracker is not live for the world to see, does not mean the jail still doesn't have to take their picture and the picture is available for public viewing, if requested. It's under the open records act. I'm not sure they would release them to the general public, but I know for a fact that any newspaper can go there and get the picture just minutes after it is taken.

. You obviously have no idea what you saying and if you really believe it than you are ignorant. When you receive any state assistance, KCEOC HEAP FOOD STAMPS OR WELFARE, they know exactly how much SSI or Social Security you draw and your assistance is given on how much income you have 6 persons living in a home that draws 4000.00 doesn't get any other help

. She was a Stapleton And two of our female jailers beat her too badly for you to believe and she was handcuffed at the te and begging for them to stop inmates could hear her. I think her family took a picture of her at visit this is why cell phones and cameras aren't allowed anymore I also believe they got an attorney but her sister was in jail at the time and the things they would do to her if case wasn't dropped ......... So it was and people like you still don't want to think it true but wait till someone you know probably an addict nobody believes them so of course that's who it happens to.
