jesse if u and ur guys were anything that u are "trying" to convince ppl that u r u would be the bigger man and ignore the topic all together instead of getting on here adding fuel to the fire.ur just admitting defeat when u do that or have the need or feel to defend urself. did u ever thank that the reason the community doesn't back u guys up or talk crap is because they have a reason 2.i know a few current members and old members who do agree that the dept is a joke. i have heard u on the scanner...cussing or being called out and no one responds until dispatch is askin for a response,u do have to respond to state that ur in route,or being called out and two seconds later u have to turn right back around because u guys forgot to get gas for the trucks or fill them with water.cussing in the heat of the moment is no excuse, especially knowing 99% of ppl who own a scanner have kids and don't want the kids to walk into the room and hear the f-word.u guys are the only fire dept that i hear dispatch ever having to tell to watch their language.another reason they may not support u is because u have firefighters threatening to let a house burn or someone sit in a trapt in a wrecked car just because ppl are talking crap? u knew when u accepted responsibility as cheif that u r now in the public eye,u know that when a person is in the public eye that ppl will do nething to cut them down.thats when u need to be the bigger man and just turn the other cheek and influence ur mean to do the same..face it u guys are nuttin but lazy lil 5th grade girls complaining so and so said this and so and so said that..the only thing i agree with u on is that yes it is hard to fight fires and a lot of ppl couldn't handle the pressure of being on call and not getting paid for it,a lot of ppl can't handle being a emt or cop but do u see an emt or cop on here making a big deal or the community cutting them down because they have a reason 2??? i don't

Thank you SCVFD for your service to your community, my home away from home! You are appreciated. I would guarantee that the people complaining and making fun have never volunteered to help anybody so don't sweat it.

it is sad to see people talking about their fire dept. these men volunteer their time and put their life at risk for what ??? the same people who are on here talking bad about them. no i do not live at stinking creek but i am a mom of a son who started out as a junior fire fighter before he was old enough to drive himself and he would jump up no matter how cold, rainy or hot and dress and be ready for the first fire fighter to pass and they would pick him up ,he grew up to be a great fire fighter and i am so proud of him but i spent many a night listening to the scanner and praying that he would make it to the fire or wreck without anything happening to him . i still listen and pray and he has had a few close calls but god has taken care of him.all i can say is the people of stinking creek or any where else needs to respect their firemen and pray for their safety not talk bad about them, stinking creek fighters im am proud of you and will keep you all in my prayers.

to sunny iwasnt cutting nobody down on here just being truthfull and unlike most im not afraid to put my name out there.. the fact is if you listen to the close enough we are not the only ones that says things on the radio that shouldnt be said but apparently we are the only ones that ever gets talked bout doing it.. and all people has to do is show up tuesday nites and voice thier opinions.. but on here or in person im sick and tired of people trash talking and im going to defend us.. we are not perfect no department is.. and we can only respond to a call if we are paged out.. and if you think we are a bunch of lil 5th grade lazy girls then why dont you show up and see what you are made of.. see if you can handle it.. by the way the last 25 house fires we have been too 19 are still standing and 15 have been repaired and still lived in compare that to the other depts, not bad for lazy 5th graders.. and we have only been told once bout watching our language but as usaull with some they want to find a lil bad thing and not look at all the good things.. and none was threathening to let someones house burn or sit in a trapped car they were just throwing that right back at the person that made the comment..

and i think for all the sacrifices i make and the responsibility i have taken on my shoulders as chief makes me a big man in itself and i dont turn the other cheek for noone.. and if someone else wants to be chief and the members think they can do a good job then so be itbut, i would gladly let them have that stress.. and i would live happy ever after.but here is what i wander... why we are the only dept that gets bashed when a truck gets wrecked or it takes us 10 minutes to get to a call when the other depts have the same things happen.. right now we have the best group of firefighters we ever had as a group and we are making strides but a few people wants to rip it apart because they are jealous or ignorant i havent figured out which it is.. and why people hate me is i dont take no crap and tell people the truth and a lot of people cant stand it. and besides that it is against the law for non emergency personnell to own a scanner so peoples kids shouldnt be listening to scanners.. and i dont know what you are talking bout forgetting to get gas in the trucks or fill them up with water, thats a new one on me. and if any current members few its a joke then they are lying to someone. mabe you should give me some names make sure they are on this department.if you have a desire to voice further opinions show up tuesday nites 7pm.

thank you from the bottom of my heart.. i have put up with this stuff for 23 yrs and im tired of putting up with it.. if we make a mistake its the worst thing seems like but when others make the same mistakes nothing is said.. im not tired of firefighting or the dept or the work to keep trying to make it better just tired of the other crap.. apparently for the ones that has never done it they think its easy.. and i dont like the thoughts of getting on here and saying anything but if this is a step i have to take in order to defend us i will.. and all agency's ems and law enforcement defends themselves when something goes wrong but they usually handle it by saying we are looking into it or no comment when infact everone makes mistakes and things happen. but again thank you..

People like to see others fail. It makes their pitiful lives look better to them. Just keep doing the good brother.

Stinking Creek is a volunteer dept in your community, so join and help them if you think they aren't doing a good job. If their trucks are junk, organize a fund raiser to help upgrade their trucks. Talk is cheap.

Our Community has received much help from the
Stinking Creek Fire Department. I really
am thankful for the long hours they spent
helping to contain fires and prevent homes from
being burned. They stayed to help until the
fire was contained, never asking for money for
their effort. Jesse and his fireman were willing
workers and the present acting fire chief was
very polite and knew what he was doing also.
Thank you Stinking Creek Fire Department.
