Calif. Senator Convicted Of Voter Fraud, Perjury

LOS ANGELES (AP)— California state Sen. Roderick Wright was convicted Tuesday of perjury and voter fraud for falsely claiming he lived in an apartment in the district he represents when he actually lives elsewhere.
The conviction on all eight felony counts doesn’t immediately bar Wright from the Senate, though his colleagues could decide to remove the long-serving Democrat before he is sentenced.
******
Wright was charged with counts including perjury, false declaration of candidacy and fraudulent voting. He could face a maximum of eight years and four months in prison when he is sentenced on March 12.Wright’s conviction came as the state Senate waits to see if federal charges will be filed against another Los Angeles-area state lawmaker. Democratic Sen. Ron Calderon of Montebello..........

I wonder where the Obama's, Eric Holder, Nancy Pelosi and her husband keep their money. Which American bank, and ole Harry and his rich family members, ever wonder where they bank in America?
Of course we all know they wouldn't dream of putting their money in overseas banks now would they?
Naw.
Remember that snot nosed little instigator in your neighborhood growing up?

The one who would tell on you if you were chewing gum on the bus?

The one who would blame everyone else for cheating when they failed a test?

The one who tried to get an extra ice cream by saying someone took his?

That is how Dimocrats act now that they are all grown up!

They rationalize their cheating, lying, criminal behaviors by saying..."so what? everybody else does it, why shouldn't I" ?

WTF!?!?
I don't know if things have changed since the last time I read about this but Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad (aka Carlos Bledsoe) gunned down 2 soldiers in front of a recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Bledsoe killed PVT William A. Long, 23 and wounded PVT Quinton Ezeagwula,18. Bledsoe told authorities that he was angry that US soldiers had killed Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. He wrote a letter to the trial Judge and expressed his sadness at not being able to kill more US soldiers as revenge for US soldiers killing Muslims.

The Federal government decided that the incident wasn't an act of terror but it was a drive-by shooting, just a street crime. WTF? WTF? Ezeagwula still has a bullet in his spine from the attack against him and Long.

Workplace violence? A drive-by shooting? Of course those incidents will be labeled as no terrorist acts on Obama's watch because they are labeled as workplace violence and a drive-by shooting and evidence in the Benghazi terrorist attack indicates it was fueled by a youtube video and a demonstration. Which we all know now that was not the case but if Obama says so and his sheep repeat it then that must make it true. Intelligent thinking people know that isn't true but the DOG sheep (Dimocrat ObaMORON Guys) swear it is gospel...if Obama claims it is true.

Democrats also destroyed Detroit - and if you don't believe that, just bring up Google and type in abandoned buildings in Detroit or some title that will take you to a video. A man in a vehicle pans the streets and slums as he explains a once beautiful city. He shows you mansions where the elite use to live that are now trashed and destroyed. Miles and miles of this - furniture out on the lawns, spray painted, broken windows, all of a once prosperous city. The once enormous train station is literally destroyed inside is something to see. Their corrupt mayor got away with tons of money, fraud and stealing from the public.

Friends of ours lived and worked in Detroit when they first met and married. We are told today that not one store, not one business, not one home still stands. Like I said, it's in plain view if you do a search on Google the democratic city, now looks like a war zone.....and that's a fact!

<quoted text>To start, most of the federal budget consists of items not authorized by the Constitution. If our government limited itself to only constitutionally authorized items, there would be a much less costly government to fund. Before the 16th Amendment authorizing an income tax, federal spending was only 3 to 4% of GDP. Admittedly, even at this level of spending, a poor person will not be able to pay his rightful fair share of the cost of government but let's not accept that it is morally defensible to pompously claim that rich people somehow owe more for government services than anyone else simply because they are rich. If we applied that standard to the purchase of private goods and services, I don't believe most people would deem it fair to charge a person more for his groceries, gasoline, and other goods based on his income. Practically, it just isn't possible for poor Americans to pay their "fair" share of government costs. I would prefer to rid our selves of the income tax and collect money for federal purposes as it was before the 16th Amendment. Government being able to make a claim on the income from every American is dangerous to the concept of liberty and makes us a slave, by whatever percentage Congress demands, to the government. If we must have a federal system of taxation, I would prefer a sales tax indexed to the poverty level.

Let me say, you are one of the few on this board who is respectful and seem to actually want to discuss issues and I appreciate that. I doubt we will agree on much but you can predict fairly accurately my position on issues. I view government's role primarily as a protector of our property rights. It cannot be allowed to protect our property rights from abuse by others while reserving for itself the power to violate the same rights. My goal is the maximizing of individual liberty.

by Thomas J. DiLorenzo

The thousands of mortgage defaults and foreclosures in the "subprime" housing market (i.e., mortgage holders with poor credit ratings) is the direct result of thirty years of government policy that has forced banks to make bad loans to un-creditworthy borrowers. The policy in question is the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), which compels banks to make loans to low-income borrowers and in what the supporters of the Act call "communities of color" that they might not otherwise make based on purely economic criteria.

The original lobbyists for the CRA were the hardcore leftists who supported the Carter administration and were often rewarded for their support with government grants and programs like the CRA that they benefited from. These included various "neighborhood organizations," as they like to call themselves, such as "ACORN" (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). These organizations claim that over $1 trillion in CRA loans have been made, although no one seems to know the magnitude with much certainty. A U.S. Senate Banking Committee staffer told me about ten years ago that at least $100 billion in such loans had been made in the first twenty years of the Act.

So-called "community groups" like ACORN benefit themselves from the CRA through a process that sounds like legalized extortion. The CRA is enforced by four federal government bureaucracies: the Fed, the Comptroller of the Currency, the Office of Thrift Supervision, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The law is set up so that any bank merger, branch expansion, or new branch creation can be postponed or prohibited by any of these four bureaucracies if a CRA "protest" is issued by a "community group." This can cost banks great sums of money, and the "community groups" understand this perfectly well. It is their leverage. They use this leverage to get the banks to give them millions of dollars as well as promising to make a certain amount of bad loans in their communities.

You have to have an ID... to get the job... that gives you a check...and you have to have an ID...to cash that paycheck. You are required to have an ID to get into R rated movies, casinos and bars. Well, ok, so you say. But as Americans we should be ashamed that our country has what you will see if you click on this link below. As we send billions of taxpayer dollars to other countries to provide them with phone systems, computers, restorations, rebuilding of the mosques and other things, our own cities are a disgrace.

If you really want to know of the deterioration of some of our country's cities, check out this link. And tell me how we, as Americans, stand by and let this government waste what we turn into them in taxes, for their lavish vacations, bonuses and a hundred perks per employee, to our closed cemeteries and Civil War battlefields because we can't afford to pay for grounds help?

What happened to Louisiana? What happened in our weather-torn cities? Who came to the rescue of all these homeless people who lost a lifetime of valuables and savings. Go here then tell me government can't afford to fix this mess we call poverty, when the elite of this country can spend millions on one vacation.
