You do know this is 2013. Are you still harping about a trip she took in 2010? I put it in a search engine, nothing pops up but the trip in 2010, so please share your sources. You do know that the First Lady has official trips and always have right? Get your American facts straight. As for the bus bullshit, that is a dead horse beat by your idiots when you abandon the birther crap. Keep trying though. You send us more DEM votes. hahaha
Q: Was President Obama's tour bus made in Canada?
A: The shell of the $1.1 million bus came from Canada, but it was converted for the Secret Service by a company in Tennessee.
There have been several articles lately decrying the Obama administration because the Secret Service allegedly purchased tour buses from Canada. I've also read in a couple of places that this is not entirely true. Would you please set the record straight? Also, could you address past precedent for presidents using tour buses while campaigning in office?
Here's the story on the bus. It was one of two custom buses ordered by the Secret Service in July 2010 from Hemphill Brothers Coach Company in Whites Creek, Tenn., at a total cost of nearly $2.2 million, according to Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie and purchasing documents. The shell of the bus was, in fact, procured from a Canadian company, Prevost, a Quebec-based firm that specializes in the manufacturing of bus shells for the high-end conversion market (think pop stars, corporate buses, etc.). Although the buses were purchased from an American company, the Secret Service was aware the shell came from Canada, Ogilvie told us. In fact, the contract with Hemphill filed in the Federal Procurement Data System lists "Canada" as the "country of product origin."
The bus was then "converted" by Hemphill to meet the unique specifications required by the Secret Service. Ogilvie said the buses were purchased from a sole-source provider (no-bid), because of the “requirement that we’d be able to support the weight of security and communications enhancements." At the time of the contract, he said, it was believed to be the only vehicle that had the payload capacity to meet the Secret Service’s needs.
Both buses — a "long overdue" addition to the Secret Service's protective fleet — will be offered to others eligible for Secret Service protection, including the eventual Republican nominee for president, Ogilvie said. In the past, the Secret Service leased buses used by presidents and others, fitted them with specialized equipment, and then removed the equipment afterward.
First lady Michelle Obama's trip to Spain in August 2010 cost the U.S. Air Force and the Secret Service at least $467,585, Huff post

Reagan OMB Director: Republicans Are Ideological Gangs (VIDEO)

David Stockman, President ReaganÂ’s director of Office of Management and Budget, is at it again. This time on All In with Chris Hayes he gave a stinging observation of what the Republican Party has become. In effect he defines them as a coalition of ideological gangs. Turns out he defines them as a gang of cons.

David Stockman explains the GOPÂ’s ideological gangs.

Following is a representative snippet of the segment where David Stockman breaks down the ideological gangs in the GOP.

Chris Hayes: Now former Congressman David Stockman, Republican from Michigan. He was the director of the Office Of Management and Budget during the Reagan administration. He is the author of “The Great Deformation, The Corruption of Capitalism in America”.… You are someone who has kind of been in and out of the Conservative movement. You were a kind of a ‘purgee’ in certain ways.… How do you kind of understand this.

David Stockman: This isnÂ’t surprising. The Republicans are no longer a political party. They are a gang, a coalition of ideological gangs. You have the neo cons, the tax cons, the social cons, and the just cons.Â… On the fundamental fiscal issues they donÂ’t agree at all. ItÂ’s totally fractured. The neo cons want a bigger defense budget. We have a 650 billion dollar war machine.

They did not get the memo that the gold war ended over 25 years ago. There are a few thousand terrorists left. You donÂ’t need a war machine that big. By the way, when Clinton left the Whitehouse it was 400 billion dollars in todayÂ’s dollars. So they argue we canÂ’t do sequester. We ought to be cutting much more. So that divides the party. Then you have the tax cons who still believe in the magic napkin. Just grow your way out of it. WeÂ’ve had 30 years to prove you canÂ’t.Â… We have the social cons, the social issue people who donÂ’t care. An then all the Republicans who have been talking about big spending who wonÂ’t stand up and take on social security means testing. Not cutting the people who need it.Â…

Chris Hayes: I would love nothing more as someone who does not want to see means testing of social security but I would love nothing than the Republican Party to take your advice and come out for means testing for Social Security.
HereÂ’s the video with Chris Hayes and David Stockman.

David Stockman was the architect of Reagan’s supply side policies. He admitted in an article in the Atlantic Monthly,“The Education of David Stockman”, that the huge Reagan tax cut was a Trojan horse to bring down the top tax rate. He also admitted that supply side theory was just a method of selling trickle-down economics by a different and acceptable name.

David Stockman has remained Conservative. He has all but dispatched the possibility of trickle-down economics, supply side economics working. He has been trying to atone for the severe damage Republican policies have exacted on the American economy for many years now. Hopefully more of his comrades, the ideological gangs will begin to listen.

Gang of CONS, just like I said...republiCONS.

Company behind Obamacare website in charge of nearly $2 billion in Sandy relief

In a memo obtained by FreedomWorks titled,“Minutes of the 295th meeting of the members of the Housing Trust Fund Corporation held on May 9, 2013, at 8:30 a.m.,” CGI Federal is tasked with implementing the Disaster Housing Assistance Program. Additionally, they are asked to aid in the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program, an assistance program that had recently obtained $1.7 billion.

Item five of the meeting agenda reads:

Mr. Nelson presented that the State received a $1.7 billion allocation in CDBG Disaster Recovery aid from HUD to aid impacted businesses and residences. He stated that the State’s Action Plan was approved on April 26, 2013 and HTFC is currently in a phase of implementing the program. He stated that in this phase, the corporation needs to stand-up its recovery programs as soon as possible to deliver critical resources, and in order to do so, the corporation requires immediate access to consultant services to assist in policy and procedure development, training, surge capacity, and call center assistance, and stated that CGI Federal Inc. could provide such services.

A country without an operating budget
It's US. Since 2009:

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and 1600 Days Without a Budget
[...] So here’s a little primer on the fiscal State of the Union.

According to the US Debt Clock, we are $16,970,000,000 in debt. The US Debt Clock is an unofficial tally of our excessive spending.

The federal deficit increased by $146 billion in August, as reported by the CBO four days ago. Yet this conflicts with reports from the Treasury Department.

The origional constitution said you must be a property owner, and/or a tax payer and have a vested intrest in the nation/ community too vote; what the hell is wrong with that? Why does a bus, deliver this scum to the ballot box every election? It's the base of the Democrat party! What interest do these crackheads have in anything, most of all, this once great nation? We have a man who never had a job as President? How? Over 50% of America is on welfare, and over 50% of this nation thinks we are doing good? WTF happened?

Obamacare – A Man and his Website. It’s Your Baby Now, Rosemary

The Dictator had 3 years…3 YEARS…to get his Obey Me Care website built.

He hired a Canadian company…The SAME Canadian that just got FIRED by…CANADA…To build it.

Then…He INSISTED it be LAUNCHED on October 1st.

According to the Washington Post…Just one week before the launch…NOBODY had even THOUGHT to test the site to see if even ONE person could actually complete the process and…SIGN UP FOR OBAMACARE through it!!!

And what happened???

People can’t get on the site.

If the HINDENBURG had struck the TITANIC…We’d have something to which we could accurately compare this.

The website, 3 years and $634 million dollars in the making, doesn’t work.

The call center in east central BUTTKRACKISTAN, 3 weeks and untold millions in the making, doesn’t work.

Facepalm: GOP Rep Makes what Might Be the Dumbest Statement about the Shutdown Yet

Before, during and now after the government shutdown, we’ve been inundated with nonstop political rhetoric. Each side blaming the other for the entire mess and each side claiming victory once the whole embarrassing fiasco finally ended.

Well, needless to say, with all that rhetoric flying back and forth there have been a number of completely boneheaded statements.

Throughout the whole debacle, one of the areas that bugged me the most was the blatantly over the top whining from Republicans over the closure of our monuments. Granted, our monuments should never be shut down—but then neither should our government. It always made me laugh to see Republicans force a government shutdown, then cry and complain about the ramifications of that shutdown.

And in true right-wing fashion, they found the talking point that got all of their conservatives up in a tizzy.”How dare President Obama deny Americans access to our national monuments! How dare he deny veterans access to their monuments! He’s un-American!”

Of course, Republicans took off and ran with this whole line of nonsense since it played perfectly into what their base wanted to hear.

But in the case of Georgia Representative Paul Broun, he took this rhetoric to a whole other level with his stupidity and apparent inability to know much about history or read a calendar.

During an interview, the Republican congressman had this to say:

“There was absolutely no reason, whatsoever, for this administration to block access to the World War Two Memorial or the Lincoln Memorial. It’s never ever been done in a government shutdown prior to this administration doing so.”

And you know what? He’s absolutely right about the World War II Memorial. During the 90′s shutdown, the World War II Memorial was never closed.

Because it didn’t exist until 2004.

As for the Lincoln Memorial, he’s completely wrong. The Lincoln Memorial was, in fact, closed during the Republican-led shutdown of the 90′s.

It’s this kind of ignorance that astounds me. I’m not saying you need to be a genius to be a member of Congress, but this level of total buffoonery is baffling.

Because when he made these statements (and I’m sure he’s been beating this drum the whole time) he was either too stupid to know the facts about when the World War II Memorial was built, or willfully lied to the American people.

And you know, I could almost give him a pass for maybe being confused about the Lincoln Memorial closure in the 90′s, or maybe the date of the World World II Memorial being built, but not both. So either he’s a babbling idiot or he’s blatantly lying to the American people to stir up fear and hatred.

But when you take into account some of the asinine remarks he’s made in the past where he called biology and geology “lies straight from the pits of hell” and said that healthcare reform reminds him of “Northern Aggression”…

I’m just going to go ahead and assume he’s simply a babbling idiot.

"simply a babbling idiot" ...like the ones on here. No wonder they can't even buy an election.

Ignorant dumbasses, bye, bye

But now they're pissed because an outsourced contract didn't work out?

And republicans wonder why we all laugh at how stupid and uninformed they are?
