"Non-essential government workers" (with the salary they make) who don't have enough money in the bank to tide them over until this ends are clueless idiots. Anyone can take off time from work and survive if they make the kind of money these people do.

They're going to get paid. Anybody paying attention to that?

I'm sure there's lots of them that welcome a nice paid vacation.....sleep late, hang out in sweats all day, work in the yard, spend time with the kids, sit on the internet - and enjoy these nice Fall days.

I don't care how much you like your job. Staying home and doing whatever you want is always a nice change.

Crybaby democrats - nobody is going to starve!!

No, no, no, Tabs, nobody left me. Remember, we are talking about you this time. And all the hours you spend on this board, saying the same things over and over, making us all go: ho hum!
As for being a millionaire. Why does that bother you folks so much?
No, I'm not desparate about your lady. I just feel sorry for her watching you sit on this contraption all day when you could be spending the day with that beautiful young woman you claimed once is too good for you.

Congratulations:
Poll: Lowest-ever approval for GOP lawmakers

Americans overwhelmingly oppose shutting down government to stop Obamacare, according to a new poll on Tuesday, with Republicans in Congress getting their lowest approval marks to date.

Americans were against a government shutdown as a way to stop the presidentís health care law from taking effect 72 percent to 22 percent in a Quinnipiac poll. The more than three-to-one ratio was despite a near even split on Obamacare itself, with 45 percent support to 47 percent opposition.

Republicans in Congress also got record-low marks in the poll. Just 17 percent of Americans approved of the job GOP lawmakers were doing, and 74 percent disapproved. Thatís the lowest approval ever in Quinnipiacís polling, and is down from August and July this summer.

Desperate attempt to 'one up' us I guess??

Kinda stupid to bring Leno up..... Plus he's not even funny.

It's obvious he's a republican just from that fact alone.
