House of Representatives, Duties

15 May 1789 Annals 1:65
Mr. White. The Constitution, having authorized the House of Representatives alone to originate money bills, places an important trust in our hands, which, as their protectors, we ought not to part with. I do not mean to imply that the Senate are less to be trusted than this house; but the Constitution, no doubt for wise purposes, has given the immediate representatives of the people a control over the whole government in this particular, which, for their interest, they ought not to let out of their hands.

Mr. Madison. The Constitution places the power in the House of originating money bills. The principal reason why the Constitution had made this distinction was, because they were chosen by the people, and supposed to be the best acquainted with their interest and ability. In order to make them more particularly acquainted with these objects, the democratic branch of the legislature consisted of a greater number, and were chosen for a shorter period; that so they might revert more frequently to the mass of the people.

I agree of course.
The bills do originate in the house, then go to the senate, and from there to the President. I the order, but you misunderstood the conversation.

One of the things he indicated in his post was that the house ALONE controls the money.
Perhaps the request should have been more specific in my reply, but I thought you would have taken the request in context to the post I was replying to.
Oh well.
ANYWAYS,
That still does nothing to dispute the fact that there is no Constitutional way for them to defund the AHCA (Obamacare) without it having to go through the President for his signature.

If you feel you must jump into this to help him out (he really needs it),please, no blog posts. I don't want opinions, definitions, Federalist papers or anything else that isn't actually part of the Constitution. Just show me the language you think applies.

Goodnight sweet lady.

Are both of you retarded?
NOTHING and I mean NOTHING in Article 1. section 7 Says that the house alone controls the money. Yes the bills originate there, but before they can go into law they MUST also go through the Senate and then on to the President.

Secondly there is NOTHING that says ANYTHING Congress votes on (except adjournment) can go into law without going to the President for his signature.
If he dont sign and you dont have a 2/3rds majority vote, IT Doesn't go into law period.
Here is the freaking applicable paragraph again!!!

"EVERY Order, Resolution, or Vote to which the Concurrence of the Senate and House of Representatives may be necessary (except on a question of Adjournment) shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the Same shall take Effect, shall be approved by him, or being disapproved by him, shall be repassed by two thirds of the Senate and House of Representatives, according to the Rules and Limitations prescribed in the Case of a Bill. "

I have never seen anyone so ignorant of such basic things in my life and still function as a contributing member of society.

Now if you guys don't learn anything, at least learn to read!!!

You cannot be that dumb.
I fully explained how what you posted didn't apply to the conversation we were having.

NOTHING you posted showed that the house alone control the money, nor did it show that ANYTHING can pass through congress without going to the President for his signature.

So unless you got another section of the Constitution to show me, you failed.
Sorry
