Glenn Beck speaks during the Dish Network War Of The Words at Hammerstein Ballroom on September 13, 2012 in New York City.
Photo by Kris Connor/Getty Images for Dish Network
The backlash started with Alex Jones' InfoWars. Over the weekend, the WWE introduced a new wrestler/manager character, "Zeb Coulter," who used his time at the mic to commemorate President's Day and attack illegal immigrants. This enranged the Internet, as obvious attempts to enrage the Internet seem to do. Alex Jones lept on it first. Then Glenn Beck, who retains a (surprisingly boring) radio show and a subscription-based video channel, got angry about it.
The WWE isn't about to bait Jones, or give him airtime, but Beck's another story. His attack warrants an invitation "to appear live this Monday on Raw," and a patronizing explanation.
Similar to other television shows and feature films, WWE is in the entertainment business, creating fictional characters that serve as protagonists or antagonists. To create compelling and relevant content for our audience, it is important to incorporate current events into our storylines. WWE is creating a rivalry centered on a topical subject that has varying points of view. This storyline was developed to build the Mexican American character Del Rio into a hero given WWE’s large Latino base, which represents 20% of our audience.
If we're inexorably falling into a "moment" of talking about this show, let's give Beck some credit: The WWE is endorsing the pop culture consensus that opposition to immigration reform is 100 percent motivated by racism. Conservatives don't have all that much pop culture backing them up on anything—gay marriage, birth control, increasingly even support for Israel. And now they've lost WWE, the organization that brought us the Iron Sheik.
Too funny. Looks like the repuke run WWE even thinks Rush and Colter are the slime of their GOP/Teabagger two parties. It gets better. haha

Have You Heard the WWE’s Wildly Racist ‘Tea Party’ Wrestling Character Named Jack Swagger?
UPDATE: WWE’s Offensive ‘Tea Party’ Wrestler Arrested for DUI, Possession of Weed
Many conservatives were disgusted after the WWE debuted a “Tea Party” character in Jack Swagger to fight against World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio for the top title April 7.
Cage Side Seats describes him as an “American with twisted values on what his country should look like, complete with a xenophobic and slightly racist manager named Zeb Colter.” The WWE website simply says he’s “hell-bent on fixing everything about them that is ‘broken.’”
Swagger, heaving his muscles and struggling to pronounce every word through the sweat, introduced Colter as a “great American” last week.
Colter, complete with a handlebar mustache, continued:
Fellow Americans! I got a question for ya! What is wrong with America? Zeb Colter knows what’s wrong! Jack Swagger knows what’s wrong! But I think most Americans have forgotten what is wrong with America. Years ago, me and this man’s daddy laid in a jungle in Vietnam with bullets whizzin’ by our heads. You know why? Because we were real patriots, we were real Americans.
And now I look around and I see a country I don’t even recognize. I see people with faces not like mine. I see people that I don’t even know what they’re saying. They can’t even talk to me. And I look around and I think, where did all these people come from? But most importantly I think, how do we get rid of ‘em? We the people!
Americans, real Americans, know the truth! Zeb Colter knows the truth! Jack Swagger knows the truth! Because this is the land of the free and the home of the brave, not the land of the free and whoever wants to cross our borders!… It’s our country and it’s our land, to protect and defend![Emphasis added]
The entire scenario leaves many wondering why the WWE would choose to create such a character. The WWE is typically thought of as having a greater viewership on the right than the left, though that’s not backed up by any statistics, and the family that started the network has a longstanding connection to the Republican Party.
Linda McMahon, who developed the WWE with her husband, has run numerous times for office as a Republican in her home state of Connecticut. She most recently ran to replace retiring Senator Joe Lieberman in 2012, but lost to Chris Murphy.
Responding to the criticism, the WWE released a statement:“WWE is creating drama centered on a topical subject that has varying points of view to develop a rivalry between two characters. This storyline in no way represents WWE’s political point of view. One should not confuse WWE’s storytelling with what WWE stands for, similar to other entertainment companies such as Warner Bros., Universal Studios or Viacom.”
So what do you think? Is the sketch all in good fun, or is it an offensive jab at Tea Partiers and conservatives?
Repukes and teabaggers eating their own...Priceless

Thanks for the laughs. lmao @ you idiots.
#82336 Feb 23, 2013
You lack facts and now you lack your own opinion. Too funny. YOU and Rick Perry are/were liars. This all came out in that sham of repuke campaign.
Rick Perry's 4 Economic Vulnerabilities
August 16, 2011
He's a big beneficiary of big-government. Perry's No. 1 talking point as a presidential candidate is job creation in Texas. He claims correctly that Texas has created more than one-third of all jobs in the country since the economic recovery began in mid-2009. What he doesn't mention is that virtually all of that job creation was in government, not in private industry.
Here are the numbers, which come from the federal government's Bureau of Labor Statistics: Between the beginning of 2008 and the end of 2010 (the latest data available), Texas created about 75,000 jobs. That makes it one of the few states with any job creation at all over that time. But federal, state and local government hiring accounted for 115,000 new jobs in Texas, while private industry shed about 40,000 jobs. The private sector has definitely held up much better in Texas than it has elsewhere. Since 2008, private-sector employment has shrunk by 6.6 percent nationally, but only by 0.5 percent in Texas. Still, Perry can't credibly claim that private industry has been responsible for job growth in Texas, since it has actually shed jobs.
Perry and his state have also benefited significantly from the kind of federal spending he's now trashing as a presidential candidate hoping to appeal to conservative Republicans. Federal spending in Texas amounts to more than $200 billion per year, according to the New York Times, on account of several big Army bases, a heavy NASA presence, and other federal installations. That's about 5.2 percent of all federal spending. Texas also accepted $6.4 billion in federal funds from the unpopular 2009 stimulus program championed by President Obama, according to the Washington Post. There's nothing wrong with Texas or any state getting its share of funding from Washington. The problem for Perry is that the facts don't support the small-government credentials he's now trying to establish.
Looks like ole slick rick was sucking on the gov't teet as you people put it and taking credit for it. There are plenty of those types of articles and videos. Most of from fellow repukes candidates. hahaha too funny.
All the repukes slandered the stimulus package but where there with their hands out for bail out and individual sure ran to the bank to cash those checks. It worked too. That is why you are eat up.

It's really fun to sit bak and watch Glascow Sybil get owned (and called out for using name after name after name) here on a daily basis.
It's also fun to watch the baaaaaasss pedofile make a fool of herself everyday in the same way.
If you two weren't such worthless humans, someone might pay attention to you and take you out once in a while. That would give us a break from your ignorance and lies.
But hey.... I won't take ingnorant BS from my lady.... No man will.... So you just remain lonely and sad on a blog on the Internet...... You tools are free entertainment.
Fear Fear Fear!!
I thought it was very funny when I first saw people type "frightwing party"
But do we really need to question it when THIS is what they constantly go on and on and on about..... And it never happens!!
Chicken Little! ALL of you!
.......Again, You are exactly right Uncle Tab.
....... This is why you people have lost so many elections, IMPORTANT elections in the last few cycles.. You all are so negative. And no one can stand being around you idiots. And when someone is so negative all the time people do as much as they can to be opposite of those people.
Thank you again for killing yourself off on a daily basis!
It makes you just want to sit back and watch them eat their own. The Tea Party and GOP are so busy sling mud at each other and vowing to not elect tea party candidates due to the lack of progress in Washington. It is just too entertaining. Meanwhile, Dems are winning the elections. Can't wait until 2014. The teabaggers weakened an already weak party that is out of touch with America and the times.
Agree with Constitution Party too. And I love it here. Great posts. I know you see through their many avatar/registered names on the same date. Lies and deception is all they know.
Keep up the good posts. Have fun repukes AND teabaggers. It will be a wonderful day and you will probably stay right on here all day slandering your fellow Americans and digging up stale post. They live in the past you know. Tea party is proof of that. hahaha They forget it is 2013.

Reagan's heart of darkness
June 9, 2004 / http://tinyurl.com/28ytj
PRESIDENT Bush proclaimed: "Ronald Reagan believed that God takes the side of justice and that America has a special calling to oppose tyranny and defend freedom." In the first three days of news reports on the death of the former president, not a single major American newspaper, television station, or politician has dared to exhume this counterpoint to the Reagan's legacy: "Immoral, evil, and totally un-Christian."
Reagan, White As Snow
Last week, as we’ve heard, the Republican presidential candidates praised the name and heritage of Ronald Reagan 40 times during the televised Show and Tell at the Reagan Presidential Library. That none of them mentioned Reagan’s legacy of white supremacy and support for apartheid is a little like invoking Jefferson Davis and not mentioning treason or slavery. Actually, a lot like it.
Ronald Reagan was a white supremacist to his very core, and left enough traces over his lengthy political career so that it’s evident for anyone who cares to look—which apparently few do.
Domestically, he opposed every legislative remedy for African Americans, betraying a meanness of spirit and an open racism. As Sidney Blumenthal wrote in The Guardian in 2003:/ http://www.tompaine.com/articles/2007/05/08/r...

No tears for Reagan
June 8, 2004 / http://tinyurl.com/558r6l
Excuse me if I don’t shed any tears over the passing of former President Ronald Reagan. While the news of the 40th president’s death brought on a flood of sentimentality over the nation’s media this past weekend, I could not help but recall what the Reagan presidency really meant for Black Americans. Similar to what occurred upon the death of Richard Nixon, amnesia has set upon journalists as they recall Reagan’s era; choosing to indulge in idol worship rather than serious reflection on the former president’s policies.
Ronald Reagan: The Great White Redeemer
http://tinyurl.com/6jljhm / June 10 2004
Only 12 years elapsed between the glorious military victory over the Confederate Slave States in 1865 and the definitive defeat of Reconstruction in 1877. In many important respects, the Reconstruction period was even briefer than that. By 1870, when the last of the southern states ratified the 15th Amendment to the Constitution, Tennessee had already rejected biracial democracy and installed an all-white “Redeemer” government.“Redemption” then swept through Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia.

Trent Lott, Ronald Reagan and Republican Racism
Dec. 14, 2002 / http://tinyurl.com/d9w75
Southern Strategy: The race question has haunted Reagan and the GOP for decades
The same could be said, of course, about such Republican heroes as, Barry Goldwater, Richard Nixon or George Bush the elder, all of whom used coded racial messages to lure disaffected blue collar and Southern white voters away from the Democrats. Yet it's with Reagan, who set a standard for exploiting white anger and resentment rarely seen since George Wallace stood in the schoolhouse door, that the Republican's selective memory about its race-baiting habit really stands out.

I don't have a "dirty" trailor nor a "dirty" house but you can bet your "dirty" mind, you do.
Hey, you can hire a illegal immigrant to clean it up for you, isn't this what liberals do by supporting their invasion? They are good for two things: fraudulent votes and servants to the liberals.
I reiterate, I doubt it.
Your post reek of ignorance to what is happening, all the facts I need to see are your coherent rants ignoramous verbage.
lol over and over and over.

The NRA is promoting putting armed guards in our schools. I ask, who's going to pay for this?. As I understand this is going to cost Billions upon Billions of Dollars!. I don't think us taxpayers should foot the bill and I certainly don't think that our children's education budgets should pay for it. I think that the NRA should pay for it!. After all they want it, if they want it they should pay for it and not expect someone else to pay for it. The NRA is a conservative entity and most of its members are conservative. Conservative people all-time complain that the government spends money and that if you want something you should pay for it yourself. After all, this is what they believe in. I think conservatives are pigheaded hypocrites!!!. They want to be exempt from their rule. They're selfish, greedy, callous and stupid!!!.
