agreed, the republican congress really made our economy great in the 1990s once they shut the government down and forced the predator in chief to sign a balanced budget, that won't work with this traitor in chief because he wants a fiscal collapse, easier to issue executive orders in times of crisis instead of honoring the constitution,
Republicans are obstructionists, like little preachy roadblocks on the way to the new world. Reps are over, finished. All they can do is hold their chubby, self-righteous hands up to try and stop it. They have failed. Their own ranks are jumping ship. Just wait and see, numbers will decline until all thats left is Rush Pillbottle blabbering on the radio with noone to listen.

We already have insurance if have a job, Medicare for old and Medicaid / Medical for poor. Why now Obamacare? Because is all taxes...MUST PAY TAXES...With a car insurance, you insure one car...
With Obamacare it's MUST have or pay penalty. Force employer to cover everyone or pay penalties/ taxes ...employer can't force anyone to buy health insurance if you don't want to...again TAXES either way...

I am sorry about your sister. She did need help with gov. agencies. Although, my sister did not, she didn't want to work while I worked 1 full job and 2 part time jobs to take care of my children as a single mom.
My sister traveled all over the world with a older man that paid for it. My sister received a college education free including child care, food, rent and free healthcare from tax payers while I had to pay for my child care, my college, healthcare premiums, food, rent, etc.No child support or welfare, they stated I made $15. too much and that I still needed to find the dad wherever he was hiding out, possibly in another country.
This is what righteous anger is.
Thank you.
I'm going to flip "i love it here" out when I say I think welfare is sinister in whats it's doing to the people that depend on it.
Welfare used to be for the needy, not the lazy.
Communism found it couldn't defeat America as long as we were strong and free. The way to undo that was to get communist educators in schools and collages and un educate the Americans. Start the dummin down process....
I can't say I blame people on welfare. The government doesn't want them to be independent. That doesn't play into their scheme.
Back in the 60's when my sister was on welfare, they had programs to train people for jobs. Welfare would pay haft the salary when business's hired a person on welfare . Everybody won. The government saved money, the business's saved money and the welfare recipient learned to be self reliant while earning a salary.
My sister got her job in a local hospital as a nurses aid. The system also payed for child care while they worked. Welfare payed my mother to baby sit.{it was allowed.}{ you should have seen my sister's face when she got her first paycheck} She said she was going to frame it.{she didn't}

When I said welfare wasn't stingy, what I meant was that welfare was offering to pay for farther education also.{my sister didn't get a chance to benefit from that}

There was also a program for fathers called "Happy Pappies" where jobs doing things in the communities like cleaning roads among other things. Further education was offered to them as well without pay.
What could a program like this do for our country today> Just imagine!
This was in Floyd Co in the 60's.

Only about 40% of employers offer Health Care. So NO having a job does not mean you have health care. Millions of people each day receive millions of dollars in health care without ever paying for it. So the choice is make everyone have insurance or let those without it die. Currently the Law does not allow for those without insurance to NOT be treated in an emergency. However, I'm sure it would be a dream come true for Repubs if it were the case.

Here's WHY there are no programs like you want.
.
WASHINGTON -- Rep. Paul Ryan stepped off the campaign trail Thursday to join House colleagues voting against a welfare regulation change that the White House and Republican governors had hoped would help people move from government assistance to work.

Republicans for years said they had hoped to get changes in the landmark welfare reform of 1996 that would grant states flexibility in how they measure work requirements, with the idea being to focus more on outcomes than process.

No darlin', because your government is broke and spending is out of control. That's why your government hired additional 14,000 IRS agents ...

And if Obamacare is so great for us, why our corrupt politicians excluded themselves from it?

Why 2,700 pages...what else is in Obamacare that we don't know nothing about it?????

Open your eyes ...our government is screwing us big time...

You Repubs have all these ideas that are great. You blame Obama for them not happening. Do some research. Repubs in the House and Senate for the past 4 years have blocked Bills that anyone in America would have thought made sense.
.
This is one of them. A Bill to allow states to start programs to get people OFF welfare. Repubs voted it down.
.

A Bill to stop tax breaks for Co. that ship jobs to China. Repubs voted it down..
.
A Bill to hire Vets to do work on Federal Lands. Repubs voted it down.

.
The list is almost endless.

Senator Threatens Partial Government Shutdown

Sen. John Cornyn suggests in a Houston Chronicle op-ed that it "may be necessary to partially shut down the government in order to secure the long-term fiscal well-being of our country" in the next round of budget negotiations "rather than plod along the path of Greece, Italy and Spain."

The Texas Republican, who voted for the fiscal cliff deal, accused the White House of dragging out negotiations on important deadlines.

"In every instance, the looming deadline for action has been obvious," wrote Cornyn, the Republican Senate whip. "And in every instance, the White House has purposefully slow-walked the process in a shameless attempt to score cheap political points."

Cornyn, who many expect could face a primary challenge in 2014 from a more conservative member of his party, explained that he voted for the cliff legislation to prevent taxes from going up on all income brackets.

Now that sounds good all written out there! Knowing neither party is truely on our side, if what you say is true, post a link proveing it! not a left or right leaning link, an actual link to the introduced bill you speak of, and the members votes, all of them! Can you do that for me? I can find no evidence of what you are stateing?
