Probably a waste of time to repeat what most of us know, but last May the House passed a bill to extend the Bush tax cuts and sent the Bill to the Senate .Harry Reid never took it out of his desk drawer or where ever he keeps them,so we end up with a rush job at the last minute ,caused by the Senate Democrats ,and never any less spending, but more special interests loopholes.

Two things done against common sense by the --no party--- Democrats. No budget for years as required by the rules,so they do not have to live within any budget. They just collect money.

Al Gore lives (or did live at the time of the photos)- in a 29,000 sq.foot two story mansion. Two people, with perhaps maids and butlers?

In the grand scheme of things he could have turned off half the lights in this mansion - including all those lining his driveway, swimming poor with guest houses. All this was lit with lights everywhere in every window. Perhaps he should rethink his own lifestyle before he dictates ours.

Republicans are still laughing.

Hey libs, heres some more of that high quality education you charge students $100,000 per year for. These are the top 8 college degress with the least return on investment, yet the universities crank out thousands of these each year!

And you all say a college education - regardless of what it is in is the answer to all problems.

1. Communications (news reporter / copyrighter)
2. Psychology
3. Nutrition
4. Hospitality/Tourism
5. Religious Studies/Theology
6. Education
7. Fine Arts

If you are still believing that tax breaks for the rich create jobs you are a weak minded fool. If you still believe that producing more oil in the US lowers gas prices you are a sucker.
No proof lower taxes ever created ONE job.

The longer I live the more I believe society has gone bonkers.

I don't know about some of you guys, but when I was growing up every boy in our neighborhood had .....weapons of mass destruction.......cap guns, sling shots, pea shooters, candy cigars made out of gum with a gold band around them, candy cigarettes in a realistic looking cigarette box. Not to mention the fact that almost every boy who turned 10 or 12 got a bee bee gun. Some I knew made their own bows and arrows.

Sling shots were made by hunting a tree that had a branch the could be turned into a Y.....then cut rubber from inner tubes to fit the stick and wahlah......all you needed now was a rock. Surely many a windows got put out along the way, and butts got spanked,(something you go to jail for now).

I am not advocating any of this in particular - but I still think our society has gone overboard with some of this stuff. Looking back I have to wonder how we survived some of the things we did with this home made stuff.
