Do you undertand that out of the 12% of our budget goes to education. 8% of that already goes directly to the states to do with as they please for grades K-12. The other 4% is PEL grants and the like, which the govt. requires a few things from the STUDENT, such as gpa,# of hours taken, etc.
How bout we stop sending foriegn coutries, wheter they hate us or not, aid BEFORE anyone talks about cutting OUR OWN throats here at home.
Who do you think sends tax payer's money to foreign country while bankrupting ours????????

We do the same back to them as well thru many products we sell them. It goes on, accidently around the world. There was even a lawsuit concerning a powerhouse I worked at locally that was selling the by-product of the coal burning process, gypsum, and they got sued by a company in China due to the cancer it had quickly started having issues with. Doesn't make a conspiracy though, does it?
Yor really are naive. There is no accident about this. Oh I get it, you truely believe they accidently add chemicals in ALL products sent to us. No oversight, no gov. depts. no anything....this part I can believe.

I see you have good things to say about China and what happen to them but refuse to recognize what they are doing to us freely because our gov. allows them to in one short paragraph.

the EPA certainly is a disaster forced upon the coal companys by lisa jackson and barrak obama.........and everyone knows coal is the same color as barrak and lisa.......but for lisa to use the alias richardwindsor and hide in a porn site is absurd...just use yahoo or google search of richard windsor to get to the site.....it features spanking and shows paddles getting male and female bottoms..one of the bottoms is probably michelle obama.....only in the white house!!!!!!!!

Congressional Testimony of Darrell Scott, father of one of the Columbine Shooting Victims-Truth!

Darrell Scott, father of Columbine High School shooting victim Rachel Scott, gave stirring testimony before a subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee.

The Truth:
Mr. Scott's testimony was so powerful that a lot of folks who receive an email about it doubt its authenticity. It is true, however. His remarks were before the subcommittee on crime of the House Judiciary Committee on May 27, 1999 at the Rayburn House office building in Washington, D.C. TruthOrFiction.com has a transcript of it.

Republicans know the nation has a deficit, but refuse to raise taxes so the added revenue can reduce the deficit. They claim this will kill jobs.

But President Obama only wants to tax the rich, not the Middle Class. So, someone who takes in one million dollars a year would still take home $12,000,... that's TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS per week, if the Bush tax cuts expire and go back to the Clinton era tax rates.

Someone kindly explain to me why the Republicans are defending these rich people from kicking in 3.6% more each year? The GOP likes calling people making over $250,000 a year "job creators,” when no such proof exists.

Show us the jobs they created and I don’t mean the ones in China, India and Mexico. Today, there is no shortage of "trust fund babies.” Such people have earned their millions the Paris Hilton way.

And these are the folks that today's Republicans believe have been taxed too much. But Ronald Reagan didn't seem to agree when he said in a very public speech that the wealthy should contribute more.

"We're going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share," he thunders to a crowd in Georgia. Such tax loopholes, he adds, "sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying 10 percent of his salary – and that's crazy." - Ronald Reagan (1985)

Now, if Reagan recognized the rich get over by not paying their fair share, how come all of the GOP supporters don’t get it? I am sure there’s an app for that.

So, what about the ones who paid nothing, "0" in taxes or for a fact nothing in their own well being and care? No one owes them a living.

What happen to "everyone should pay their fair share?"

As for the rich, not I. I never have been above living from paycheck to paycheck and have always paid taxes. Although, if the rich only pay 1%, they pay more than myself and most certainly pay more than most people, the entitlement takers including the unemployed who received year after year unemployment checks to do nothing.

Again, to all the food stamp and welfare people, if you just paid $1 every month, this is $50 million for 12 mos.equals $600 million per year.....just $1, the same amt. they spend to buy a lottery ticket and they do.

You raise some very interesting points. Do we really know what's going on inside that *chamber*? They have been bickering for weeks, and for many reasons do not see a solution. There are two major issues confronting us: taxes and healthcare taxes. There's a lot of anger out there re: who will pay for this healthcare. I am just hearing that hospital's are laying off staff. The ones who are shifted to different divisions are being told they can either leave or accept positions with no benefits. If this is true then many jobs will be lost and patients will suffer due to lack of health care personnel. It seems to me that the reason this might be happening is because no one truly understands the new Obamacare and where it will lead. Which of these two evils is the worst: the fiscal cliff or the unknown consequences of Obamacare?

And another thing: They tell us they won't raise taxes on the middle class, but that there will be fewer deductions. So in essence, they will raise taxes because what we don't get back on tax returns will go to the government in another form of taxing.

I think we're screwed no matter what they do! JMO.

WRONG! Even SCOTUS has said Obama-Care is a TAX! Obama has created more backdoor legislation with Executive Orders which cause higher prices on many things! Our Electric cost was increased more than 34% because of his policies! Do poor and middle class Americans feel that pain?
How about the milk prices which are about to double?
Take your MSNBC talking points and shove where they came from!
If the U.S.A. were not sending Billions overseas to those Nations who attack us, Kill Americans and burn our flag...maybe taxes would not be such an issue! Tell me something; how the hell does a "millionaires" tax effect your life? Stop watching MSNBC and drink less KOOL Aid. Until you realize your life is what YOU make it...you'll never make a difference in your OWN LIFE!

Bush sent $12 bn in cash to Iraq and watched it vanish!!!!

The US flew nearly $12bn in shrink-wrapped $100 bills into Iraq, then distributed the cash with no proper control over who was receiving it and how it was being spent.
The staggering scale of the biggest transfer of cash in the history of the Federal Reserve has been graphically laid bare by a US congressional committee.

In the year after the invasion of Iraq in 2003 nearly 281 million notes, weighing 363 tons, were sent from New York to Baghdad for disbursement to Iraqi ministries and US contractors. Using C-130 planes, the deliveries took place once or twice a month with the biggest of $2,401,600,000 on June 22 2004, six days before the handover.

Good post Ari........and now Obama claims immigration reform is at the top of his list. Aren't there more important issues than immigration issues as one at the top of the list. What we don't need is 10-20-30 more million people to deal with competing for jobs while still out of work Americans are struggling to find employment.

When Obama halted deportation of students brought here illegally as children, he garnered 71% of the Hispanic vote. Now they are in a "you owe me" frame of mind and want him to act immediately on these issues of concern to them. More people on stamps, subsidized housing and healthcare! Who is going to take care of all this? Along with what you said, "sending billions overseas."

Does anybody in that Chamber on the Hill ever use common sense?
