The Bush tax rates that are about to expire are BREAKS FOR THE WEALTHIEST AMERICANS. They SHOULD expire so that the WEALTHIEST Americans (those making more than $250,000) will be taxed at a higher rate. FoxNews wants it to sound like OMG OBAMA IS GOING TO RAISE TAXES!! But the fact of the matter is he is trying to help the middle class by making those that earn more, pay more. Common sense stuff.
Bush put those "breaks" in so that FoxNews could shout from the rooftops that he was slashing taxes. Well, he was, but for the ultra rich. Wake up people.
When Ike was President, the tax rate on the wealthy was 91%. Under Nixon it was 70%. The rich now pay only 30% if they pay at all. Most don't pay anything because of deductions, like interest on multi-million dollar homes.

The only thing that i don't like about Fox News is that they seem very one sided. I have watched CNN and other news station and they point out the good and the bad. but i believe that Fox just do not like the democratic party. And i believe that their news reporting can not be trusted weather they are reporting on a cat stuck in a tree or if my taxes will go up.

let's do the math..george bush came into office with the largest budget surpluss in US history. 8 years later he left with the largest deficit in US history. obama has been in office for a year and a half and you're blaming this economy on him??? oh well as long as people like palin, beck, limbaugh, newt, mcconnel, etc keep saying shit like "freedom, support our troops, jesus, guns guns guns, less taxes, obamacare, socialists, freedom, freedom FREEDOM!" then you stupid sheep will be happy.

I have repeatedly said this area is a cesspool. I now have to add numbskulls to my list.

This cesspool is full of numbskulls who actually believe that either candidate can do something when in office. HA! What a joke.

You numbskulls believe anything. Get a clue or give up.

If you want higher tax costlier electric and fuel prices go ahead an suport conway then run to daneil boone and apply for assistance to pay your electric bill. Better wake up this nation can not stand very much more spending or we all be in soup line an they be no soup.
Unlike Rand Paul, Jack Conway supports education, something you're obviously lacking from trying to read your post. Have you ever heard of a period? It ends a sentence. Have you ever heard of a capital letter? It begins the first word of a sentence. We better wake up and vote someone in who values education before our kids end up in a soup line because of lack of skills. You're a perfect example.

This debate is a wonderful expression of the rights we enjoy as Americans. Now if we could just raise the level of discourse. Snide remarks do not change minds. Banal drivel only makes the poster seem childish. Logic and reason can change opinions and win votes. Now that I have that off of my chest, please, continue to sling the mud.

There might have been an intelligent hillbilly here at one time. This guy is an example of what Meth and other street drugs will do to a brain. Someone will need to take care of this guy for the rest of his live. He could have been a productive human being, now he is just another burden on society.

I have finally given up on politics in Pulaski County. I moved here 5 years ago and find it the worst choice I ever made. Of course, Im kinda stuck with the housing market like it is. The people here are to lazy or ignorant to look deeply into the politics here and nationwide. Their parents were republicians and thats all they know. They continue to use the anti-abortion crap. We have had legal abortion for umpteen years now and the republicans haven't changed it. There are a lot more to this than abortion, gun control, etc. Well, go ahead and elect Rand Paul and the rest. Its your funeral. I'm out of here as soon as possible.

It's hard to decide where to start debunking this stupid comment.

Let's start with "pro-gun." You do realize that the 2nd Amendment is "pro-gun," right?

Also, aren't the Republicans usually given credit for being "pro-gun?"

Conway will be another yes man for the democrat party. I think we already have plenty of them in Washington. Sad thing is, Conway is probably a really smart guy, I'm surprised he is willing to enter the pit and slosh around with those no good pigs, he needs to hope he doesn't get the job if he wants to save the little bit of reputation he still has left.
Rand Paul needs to kick it into overdrive and get a backbone. He needs to stay one step ahead of Conway if he doesn't want to get buried by the demoRAT machine again. I hope he's ready for this!
Now I know why so many women have been voted in for the primary now. They don't give a crap about what other people think of them and will stand up for what they think even if it means standing alone. What has happened with all these spineless men?
that shows me that you know nothing on the candidates or the issues. conway will not be a YES MAN, he will stand up for the people of ky, unlike raul, conway is from ky. paul is a flake and bad for ky. COMWAY ALL THE WAY.

Are you better off today than you were four years ago?

If yes, vote for the Democrats.

If no, then vote for the Republicans.

I think this one is a no brainer, look for a total rout come election night but let's see what the voters say.
