Personally I hope his job does get eliminated! I hope all these idiots that want a bigger Fed Govt. to solve all their problems will see that the Obama administration has been lying to them for a long time. Look at those people in NY and NJ who kept waiting on FEMA to come save them after 3 weeks with very little help. I'm just surprised that Bush didn't get the blame on that as well but the media gives Obama a pass on everything. I also hope the Unions drive more jobs out of this country (Hostess). So many Americans are just blind to see what so many of us have been pointing out for years and the only way that Americans will ever see it is if they suffer for their actions of either standing by and watching or voting in the wrong people in hopes of a hand-out. I know this sounds bitter or mean spirited but I believe it to be true. Americans only act after the damage has already been done despite all the warnings.
I agree! They will never realize the truth until it slips up behind them and bits them in the rear end.

Scumbag Of The week: Fox’s Andrea Tantaros

Awarded for the following statement about Newark, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker spending a week living on the same budget as food stamps allow:

STUART VARNEY (HOST): Could you live on $133 per month for food?

TANTAROS: I should try it because do you know how fabulous I’d look? I’d be so skinny. I mean, the camera adds ten pounds, it really does. I’d be looking great.

Hahahahaha. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That’s hilarious!

Millions of Americans are scraping by on what is essentially a starvation diet and Tantaros jokes about how it would be beneficial for losing a few pounds! Get it? It’s funny because it mocks the poor!

The idea of mocking hungry people in the richest country in the world while cheering the policies that put them there in the first place is obscene on so many level that it staggers the imagination. The up side to this is that, which every passing day, it is becoming clear that Fox will not shift its cruel and heartless rhetoric in the slightest and that means the GOP will have to follow and continue to lose elections.

In the meantime…Congratulations, Andrea! You’re a true scumbag! But keep up the good work! America needs you to keep the GOP on the path to extinction!

You're the first one to mention that, the rest want to privatize it or issue coupons.

EVERYONE wants to cut the fraud and waste.

An owner of a defunct company accused of bilking the Defense Department out of more than $20 million, including charging nearly $1 million to ship two 19-cent washers, pleaded guilty Thursday to federal wire fraud and money laundering.

Charlene Corley owned plumbing and hardware equipment supply company C&D Distributors LLC with her sister, Darlene Wooten, who committed suicide last fall, reports CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson.

Corley faces as many as 20 years in prison for each of the counts she pleaded guilty to — conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. In addition, she owes as much as $750,000 in fines, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin McDonald.

The company has repaid the government $4 million, and the government has seized an additional $7 million in cash and other assets, including beach houses and other land, he said.

From 1997 to 2006, Corley and Wooten exploited an automated shipping payment system designed to speed shipments bound for U.S. forces overseas by submitting huge bills to ship inexpensive items, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said among the fraudulent charges were ones for $998,798 to ship two 19-cent lock washers,$492,097 to ship an $11 threaded plug, and $499,569 to ship 10 cotter pins worth $1.99 each.

We should get rid of the defense department.

They were targets of fraud.

According to teabaggers.

Most people are surprised to know that it is possible to work part-time or occasionally and still receive Social Security disability benefits. However, when you stop and think about it, it makes perfect sense that Social Security would not punish someone for at least trying to work because, if they did, no one would ever try. There are two basic situations in which someone who is working may still be entitled to benefits.
The first situation is where a claimant is working part-time on a regular basis, or sporadically works here and there when they are able. Keep in mind that Social Security defines the ability to work as the ability to work "on a regular and continuous basis," and further defines work essentially as a five-day week, eight- hour-a-day effort. If someone chooses to only work part-time, that does not mean he or she is disabled. However, a person who simply cannot work five days a week and/or six to eight hours a day because of their medical problems can argue, often successfully, that the work activity is not "substantial" enough to prevent payment of benefits. A good example of this is the medical conditions fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome: With these medical conditions, people often feel quite capable of engaging in daily activities around the house or even work for short periods of time, but their medical condition worsens if they over-do it.
Also, many people find that their condition will prevent them from working for weeks or months at a time, but they are able to work during those times when their condition is not so severe. A good example of this situation is people with bipolar disorder. With this medical problem, people will "cycle" in and out of severely depressed moods; during the significant periods of depression they find that they are unable to perform many everyday tasks, but are usually capable of doing a lot more when they are not depressed. In both situations just described, the claimant could be found disabled and entitled to receive Social Security disability benefits.
Second, some people have returned to work full-time, or are considering a return to full-time employment. Again, that decision does not necessarily mean that disability benefits will be denied. This is a somewhat complicated area of Social Security disability law, but it is possible to say in general that Social Security will permit a disability claimant to work at "substantial" levels for up to nine months (and in some cases six more after that) before they will question whether or not the claimant's benefits will end. In this way, a person can try to work again without worrying that his or her disability claim will be automatically denied. In some cases, a disability claimant has already worked full-time for nine months, or is quite certain that his or her condition has improved and that he or she will be able to work on a regular basis. Even here it may be possible to obtain disability benefits, if your disability stopped you in the past from working for at least a 12-month period.
The decision of whether or not you should attempt to work is complicated, because it involves consideration of personal, medical, vocational and legal issues. While we could never advise you whether or not you should try to work, we will work closely with you in helping you make your decision. The most important thing to remember is that trying to work does not in any way lessen your chances of receiving Social Security disability benefits.

Why would we leave? We like it here. You don't.

"The Republican party has a party of ‘followership.’ The problem with Republican leaders is that they’re cowards, not that they’re fundamentally mistaken. The real locus of the problem is the GOP activist base and the Republican donor base. They went apocalyptic over the past four years and that was exploited by a lot of people in the conservative world. I won’t soon forget the lupine smile that play over the head of one major conservative institution when he told me that our donors think that the apocalypse has arrived…that Republicans have been fleeced and exploited, and lied to by a conservative entertainment complex."
-David Frum, once a speechwriter for President George W Bush

You kind of have to read between the lines but it’s pretty clear: Fox and AM hate radio control the course of the GOP and they do not have the GOP’s best interests in mind. This was proven several times in 2009 when politician after politician was forced to bow and scrape before “Boss” Limbaugh and by Frum’s previous prescient statement,“Republicans originally thought that Fox worked for us, and now we are discovering we work for Fox.” Now Frum has made it clear that the GOP has been played to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars by what Frum has accurately labeled the “conservative entertainment complex.”

Fox and AM hate radio do not traffic in news; they traffic in fear, hate and outrage. That is what keeps their audience riveted and trapped in a bubble of nonsense If they were to start reporting the actual news, they would lose half their audience and they know it. As long as this paradigm exists, the GOP will be forced to play to that audience of amped up paranoid conspiracy nuts. Fox and AM has a choke hold on a lucrative market segment an they’ll never let it go as long as they can profit off of lying to it.

Fox and AM hate radio are literally parasites feeding off of the GOP and they are rapidly killing it.

Had to remove your post.

FNC saw a large ratings jump during the early stages of the Iraq conflict. According to some reports, at the height of the conflict Fox News had as much as a 300-percent increase in viewership (averaging 3.3 million viewers daily).[35]

In 2004, FNC's ratings for its broadcast of the Republican National Convention exceeded those of all three broadcast networks. During President George W. Bush's address, Fox News attracted 7.3 million viewers nationally; NBC, ABC, and CBS had a viewership of 5.9 million, 5.1 million and 5.0 million respectively.

In late 2005 and early 2006, FNC saw a brief decline in ratings. One decline was in the second quarter of 2006, when Fox News lost viewers for every prime-time program compared with the previous quarter. The audience for Special Report with Brit Hume, for example, dropped 19 percent. Several weeks later, in the wake of the North Korean missile crisis and the 2006 Lebanon War, Fox saw a surge in viewership and remained the #1-rated cable news channel.[36][37] Fox produced eight of the top ten most-watched nightly cable news shows, with The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes finishing first and second respectively.[38]

FNC ranked No. 8 for all cable channels in 2006, and No. 6 in 2007.[39] The channel ranked No. 1 during the week of Barack Obama's election (November 3–9) in 2008, and reached the top spot again in January 2010 (during the week of the special Senate election in Massachusetts).[40] Comparing Fox to its 24-hour-news-channel competitors, in May 2010 the channel drew an average daily prime-time audience of 1.8 million (versus 747,000 for MSNBC and 595,000 for CNN).[41]

In September 2009, the Pew Research Center published a report on the public view of national news organizations. The report indicated that 72 percent of Republican Fox viewers rated the channel as "favorable", while 43 percent of Democratic viewers and 55 percent of all viewers shared that opinion. However, Fox had the highest "unfavorable" rating of all national outlets studied (25 percent of all viewers). The report went on to say, "partisan differences in views of Fox News have increased substantially since 2007".[42]

As of January 2011, Public Policy Polling reported that Fox News Channel was the second-most trusted television news network in the United States, with 42 percent of respondents reporting they trusted the network compared to other news channels (behind PBS at 50 percent and ahead of NBC at 41 percent, CNN at 40 percent, CBS at 36 percent and ABC at 35 percent). Fox News Channel is also ranked the most distrusted news channel in the U.S., with 46 percent of respondents reporting they distrust the network (behind PBS at 30 percent, NBC at 41 percent and CNN, CBS, and ABC each at 43 percent). This represented a combined 16-percent drop among respondents from the year before, and placed the channel fourth among Americans in trust-distrust (behind PBS, NBC, and CNN and ahead of CBS and ABC). Most of this drop was the result of an increase in distrust among moderates and liberals. While conservatives largely held the same view of the network as they did the year before (dropping from 75 to 72 percent), moderates and liberals increased their distrust of the network (from 48 to 60 percent among moderates, and 66 to 82 percent among liberals). Of the poll's respondents, 18 percent identified as liberal, 41 percent as moderate and 40 percent as conservative; 40 percent identified as Democratic, 37 percent as Republican and 23 percent as independent or "other".[43][44]

On the night of October 22, 2012, Fox set a record for its highest-rated telecast ever, with 11.5 million viewers for the third U.S. presidential debate.[45][46] In prime time the week before, Fox averaged almost 3.7 million viewers with a total day average of 1.66 million viewers.[47]
