“Just days ago as he campaigned for re-election,” he csaid.”Barack Obama told his supporters that voting is the ‘best revenge.’ I guess now we know what he was talking about. The revenge he seeks is against American gun owners and their Second Amendment rights.”

“The election was called about 11 p.m. Tuesday and by 11 a.m. this morning, we got word that the United States was supporting this resolution. We have to be more vigilant in our efforts to stop this proposed treaty,” he said.

What would you DO without your gun?
COPS no longer HAVE TO protect you!
==========

Just Dial 911? The Myth of Police Protection

Underlying all “gun control” ideology is this one belief.”“Private citizens don’t need firearms because the police will protect them from crime.”

That belief is both false and dangerous for two reasons.

First, the police cannot and do not protect everyone from crime.

Second, the government and the police in most localities owe no legal duty to protect individuals from criminal attack.

When it comes to deterring crime and defending against criminals, individuals are ultimately responsible for themselves and their loved ones.

Depending solely on police emergency response means relying on the telephone as the only defensive tool.

Too often, citizens in trouble dial 911 ... and die.

Hello AM-hope your Thanksgiving was good!

I do not think the left wants to do any protecting of any one but the left,as their reason to remove guns from the private citizens. They have no idea that one should be responsible for ones own actions, and no one owning a gun could kill another, just the criminals do that. The police would protect you? No,they would arrest the criminal after you got shot and murdered. They have no idea that they would also be subjuct to the criminal element. My thinking is,it is just another way of control of the people, and certainly not based on the Constitution nor the idea of our freedoms out here.

Just the left with it`s unreasonable desire of control, power, and rule.

Control is what all of this regulatory government is about in my opinion. They want us to have to depend on them. That is not the American way. We were raised as having Independence, and hopefully will die that way.

I'm sure there are watch dog groups out there watching out for this type of action, but you never can tell about the back room deals that get made. Especially in this crooked administration, with AG Eric Holder at the helm. WE all know what type of justice he demands. NONE for his people. He said so, when it came down to convicting the Black Panthers.

Glad to see you back on here. We need voices of sanity like yours and 'tofy's'...

Federal regulations increased 7.4% during Obama’s first three years

Want an insight on why we’re experiencing the worst recovery since the Great Depression? The US Chamber of Commerce points out that the Code of Federal Regulations has grown at a pace outstripping economic growth — and especially job creation — during the Barack Obama administration, expanding by 7.4%, with a good part of that growth in the first year:

Over the past three years, the bound edition of the Code of Federal Regulations has increased by 11,327 pages – a 7.4 percent increase from Jan. 1, 2009 to Dec. 31, 2011. In 2009, the increase in the number of pages was the most over the last decade – 3.4 percent or 5,359 pages.

When those regimes get fully fleshed out, expect the increase rate of regulation to skyrocket — and investment to decline.

Here Comes the Regulatory Flood
Costly rules held up for the election are about to roll over the economy.

• Health care. It begins with the Affordable Care Act, which has been in hibernation because it was the largest campaign liability.

• Financial services. According to a Davis-Polk analysis, only 133 or 33.4% of the 398 rule-makings the law firm estimates Dodd-Frank requires have been finalized.

• Energy. In the lead-up to November, the Environmental Protection Agency stood down under White House pressure, delaying rules for ozone air quality

Having come close to losing re-election because of a weak economy, Mr. Obama now keeps saying "our top priority has to be jobs and growth." This new regulatory flood will increase costs and uncertainty and make that priority that much harder to achieve.

Welcome to the New America, land of the socialist, welfare entitlement states. Where we rob and punish the successful and wealthy, to give to the poor and lazy.

Half of those on food stamps are just looking for a free ride and President Obama is just the man to give it to them.

Where are the jobs, where is the growth and prosperity, where is the hope, that was promised to use four years ago.

The only thing growing is the number of out of work Americans with their hands out and the inflation rate.

I do not want to live in a communist state on welfare.

The only entitlement I want is a good job. I want to live in America the land of the free, where all you need is the will and the drive to become successful.

Shove the entitlement, we need jobs!

Oh, I forgot, Hussein is President. No hope, no change.

Labor goons and assorted socialists set to meet with Obama today

Carrie Budoff Brown is reporting that a White House official has confirmed Politico's list of CEOs scheduled to attend a meeting Wednesday with Barack Obama on the fiscal cliff, and sent over the list of union and progressive leaders who will sit down with him Tuesday:

• Mary Kay Henry, SEIU
• Lee Saunders, AFSCME
• Dennis Van Roekel, NEA
• Rich Trumka, AFL-CIO
• Neera Tanden, Center for American Progress
• John Podesta, Center for American Progress
• Bob Greenstein, Center for Budget and Policy Priorities
• Laura Burton Capps, Common Purpose Project
• Max Richtman, National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare
• Justin Ruben, MoveOn
• Deepak Bhargava, Center for Community Change

This list hits many of the major unions and progressive organizations that are urging Obama to hold firm on his commitment to end tax cuts for wealthier families and to protect major entitlement programs.

We now effectively have a Marxist dictator, Barack Obama, who will rule by his decree -- the executive order -- sitting in the White House.

And we still don't know, for sure, who he is, where he comes from or who sent him.

Obama will bypass the House of Representatives, which will be unable to check Obama's actions or impeach him because the progressive Democrats control the Senate. The House can hold hearings and make speeches but they will have no real power. The House can write all the laws they want, but unless it's a law Obama wants or approves of, it will go nowhere.

Obama will appoint up to four progressives to the Supreme Court, forever altering that body and effectively making the U. S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights null and void. The Second amendment will be the first "right" to go as the progressives have an "infringement" field day.

Eric Holder, Obama's henchman, has control of the Justice Department and has already filled the department with left-wing ideologues. The law of the land will become the rule of man and enforced selectively.

The DREAM Act will be fully implemented and 10,000,000 or more illegal immigrants -- new Democrats -- will be granted amnesty and access to the ballot, making the Republican Party irrelevant, and progressive (Marxist-statist) rule will be complete and enduring.

ObamaCare will be fully implemented. The single-payer health system will be a reality and all medicos will become employees and all citizens dependents of the state.

The Luddites dreams of the end of the era of fossil fuels becomes a reality as the country goes "green," crippling the energy sector and ending our economic power.

Industry will be controlled by oppressive regulation, effectively granting the control of the means of production to the state.

The military will be neutered and used as a tool to enforce the regime's will on The People. The unions will be Obama's "brownshirts." The ObamaMedia will come out of the closet and practice propaganda openly.

More and more once-free citizens will go on the dole, and become dependent on the nanny-state.

There's not one action, described above, that we haven't seen Obama take during his first term already.

And that's just the beginning. As Obama has been quoted as saying, "you ain't seen nothin' yet!"

Report: Number of Women Dying From Legal Abortions Doubles

The Centers for Disease Control released new national abortion figures this week and the mainstream media has essentially ignored the fact that the number of women dying from legal abortions has doubled.

Americans United for Life President and CEO Dr. Charmaine Yoest called the news of a historic 5% drop in the abortion rate, released by the Centers for Disease Control on the eve of Thanksgiving,“a real cause for giving thanks.”

Nevertheless, the pro-life leader noted that reporting on the new data has not included a more somber data-point: the number of abortion-related maternal fatalities doubled in 2008, the most recent year data is available.

“The CDC report documents the death of twelve women following their abortion,” said Yoest.“That number is double the deaths reported the previous year and it’s the highest since 1994.”

Those legal abortion deaths continued this year as a young African-American woman, Tonya Reaves, died following a botched legal abortion she obtained at a Planned Parenthood facility in Chicago.

The autopsy report shows the 24-year old woman died from three major complications during a botched second-trimester abortion suffered at a Chicago area Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on July 20, 2012.

On Respecting Muslim Culture
By Jim Yardley

For at least the past decade, and perhaps longer, the nations of the West have treated jihadists and radical Islamists (which groups count for many more Muslims than most Americans care to admit) with an inordinate level of respect so as not to "offend" them.
The first thing that should be considered is that no one is entitled to "respect." "Respect" must be earned, just as "trust" must be earned. One might argue that "courtesy" can be demanded, but to demand "respect" and "trust" is insulting to those from whom the fulfillment of the demand is required.

It's time and past(!!!) to operate under the same rules of engagement as the Islamic fanatics that we are coping with, and responding to their aggression with overwhelming force, and without the illogical and asymmetrical rules of engagement forced on our troops by the White House and the Pentagon.!!!!
