Anything Civil War before and after. Some of my favorite stuff. There isn't a battlefield we haven't been on from the South to Custer in Montana. My library is full of this stuff as we picked up books throughout our years of travel.

I think Gettysburg is the one that got to me the worst. Been there twice now and could go back at any time again.

I take no sides.

For ADULTS only :)

This guy dies and his wife gets him cremated. She takes the ashes home and lays them out on the table and starts talking to them.

"You know that fur coat you promised me? I bought it with the insurance money. You know the new car you promised me? I bought it with the insurance money."

Then she whispers, "You know that blowjob I promised you? Well, here it comes..."

GOP Governors Stonewall Key Obamacare Provision, Inviting Federal Takeover
The original deadline for states to notify the Department of Health and Human Services on whether they intend to build their own exchange was last Friday, but the administration extended it to Dec. 14. About a dozen Republican governors are weighing their options, including Chris Christie of New Jersey, Rick Scott of Florida and Terry Branstad of Iowa.
The Affordable Care Act encourages each state to build and operate its own exchange — a regulated, subsidized marketplace where consumers and small businesses can shop for insurance plans. If a state declines, the federal government has the power under the health care reform law to build one for it.
The more states stonewall the exchanges, the more it complicates the task of the federal government. One challenge is that the law lacks an automatic funding mechanism for HHS to set up state exchanges. Enrollment is slated to begin next October, and the exchanges are scheduled to start functioning by January 2014.
“This is a federally-mandated exchange with rules dictated by Washington,” Perry wrote in a letter to the Obama administration last Thursday.“It would not be fiscally responsible to put hard-working Texans on the financial hook for an unknown amount of money to operate a system under rules that have not even been written.”
Twenty-three states, mostly Democratic, and Washington, D.C. have said they’ll move forward with the exchanges, either on their own or in partnership with the feds.

Starting in 2014, the Affordable Care Act expands Medicaid, the massively popular program which makes health insurance available for lower-income Americans. For the first three years, the federal government covers 100 percent of the expansion costs. After five years, the federal government finances 90 percent of the expanded population.

Not a single Republican governor has pledged to accept the new Medicaid funds and three Democrats are also considering turning down the money. In total, these states would give up $291.4 billion in federal funds and leave 10,297,221 Americans uninsured.

Texas School District Reportedly Threatening Students Who Refuse Tracking ID, Can't Vote For Homecoming.
Weeks after Northside Independent School District in San Antonio rolled out its new "smart" IDs that tracks students' geographic locations, the community is still at odds with the program.
The "Student Locator Project," which is slated to eventually reach 112 Texas schools and close to 100,000 students, is in trial stages in two Northside district schools. In an effort to reduce truancy, the district has issued new student IDs with an embedded radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip that tracks the location of a student at all times.
With the tracking, if they are not at their desks but are on campus the district receives its daily allotment for that student.
The Rutherford Institute president John Whitehead said:'There is something fundamentally disturbing about this school district’s insistence on steamrolling students into complying with programs that have nothing whatsoever to do with academic priorities and everything to do with fattening school coffers.'
Teabagger communism.

I read this before. And the first thing I said was, if anybody tried to track ID my kid I would be up there screaming at somebody. And if they insisted, I'd pull my kid out of that school and home school.

Been there, done that, sort of.

Bypassing the Legislature altogether, Republican Gov. Rick Perry issued an order Friday making Texas the first state to require that schoolgirls get vaccinated against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer.
Perry, a conservative Christian who opposes abortion and stem-cell research using embryonic cells, counts on the religious right for his political base. But he has said the cervical cancer vaccine is no different from the one that protects children against polio.
Merck is bankrolling efforts to pass state laws across the country mandating Gardasil for girls as young as 11 or 12. It doubled its lobbying budget in Texas and has funneled money through Women in Government, an advocacy group made up of female state legislators around the country.
Perry has ties to Merck and Women in Government. One of the drug company’s three lobbyists in Texas is Mike Toomey, Perry’s former chief of staff. His current chief of staff’s mother-in-law, Texas Republican state Rep. Dianne White Delisi, is a state director for Women in Government.
The governor also received $6,000 from Merck’s political action committee during his re-election campaign.
By employing an executive order, Perry sidestepped opposition in the Legislature from conservatives and parents’ rights groups who fear such a requirement would condone premarital sex and interfere with the way Texans raise their children.
Those darn "socialist" teabaggers.
Would this be the same "government" you are saying we should trust that secretly gave poor Blacks STD injections to see how long they would suffer, how quick they would die and what the affect would be on their overall health? Our government has only gotten worse since those days and with Obama in for another 4 years we can expect things to get much worse at warp speed as it did with Obama's first four years. Wait...did you have a point? It really didn't go the way you expected it to go though, did it? LMMFAO!

And where does anybody think these people are coming in from? Try Arizona. I'm telling you, if we don't start supporting Sheriff Arpaio and Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona against the government that refuses to seal the border and put more officer's down there, or these scumbags will infiltrate the rest of the country and we will have it everywhere. Tell Obama and Napolitano to get with it, and stop fighting Arizona. It's the gateway to the rest of the country!

What "insurance" companies/programs denies more procedures and claims than any others? Medicare and Medicaid. This has been a fact for years. How much fraud has there been in Medicaid for the last 15 years and how many times has the government tackled fraud or even taken that fraud seriously? Have you ever been on Medicaid? If you had, you would not be praising it...AT ALL! Obama is just adding millions and millions of people to an already failed program. Obama gets praised and the poor get screwed again. But since it is law now the poor have no choice but to participate in an already failing program. Adding millions of people to a failing program that will now be overseen by even more bureaucrats and politicians and political budget restrictions that will lead to more failure as time passes. Medicaid patients do not get quality or timely care. Welcome to forced Socialized medicine America. Oh, and by the way, just another fun fact that wally street poster forgot to mention...Obama and Pelosi and Reid and all those united democrat politicians that didn't have a clue what was in the bill they passed into law that forces every man, woman and child in the United States of America to participate in...they opted out of Obamacrap and kept their super nice insurance program so their families would not have to suffer through the bureaucrat crap.
