On Monday they refuse a veteran request to notarize a document so he could a disable plate for his vehicle, because he didn't have a account with them. Why do People of Knox County Support a Bank that does not support all veterans all the time? A veteran should not be require a account with them before they will give a veteran support.

It is a bad day in Knox County when a veteran cannot go to a bank like PNC not be able documents notarize. It is wrong bank like this refuse returning vets full support. PNC Bank should be boycotted for refusing help veterans, because they don't have account with them.

If he spelled like you three then they were probably doubtful that he was a veteran. Banks can be held liable if they notarize something that might be fake. If you're a customer then they know how to reach you in case there's a problem with the document. The court house would have done it for free I would think if he is a veteran. A VFW probably has some Notary Publics that are members who would do it for free too. Good thing I'm stoned or I wouldn't have been able to comprehend anything you morons typed.

Hey Stupid The PNC bank has a policy refusing no to notarize any document from anybody unless you are a costumer of PNC bank. Does this make it more clear for you all to understand?

Reply to cat:
Your check was probably drawn on another bank and you probably didn't have the funds in an account to cover the ck if it should be returned. Or you have a consistency of having your account overdrawn. I'm sorry but you will have that problem at any bank you deal with. That's just policy.

I myself have never had a problem with anyone who works at PNC. They have always been very nice & helpful to me.

I go to PNC Bank all the time and they have never been rude to me. They have rules they have to go by just like every other place of business. You can find a notary in the phone book. You don't have to go to a bank. Not trying to be rude, just saying.

What are you talking about Anti-American????? Give me a fricken break! Why didn't you just go to your own bank? Also, like the other poster asked "Did you already sign the paper?" If so good luck in finding a notary to notarize it then. Also, why didn't you just have then notarize it at the court house?

It's apparent your not telling the whole story...

By my comment about them being rude had nothing to do with the notary thing. I just stated a fact about the attitude of the workers!!

That is not the point. It is about a veteran be able go to any notary without being discriminated against, because of company policy. A veteran should be able get documents notarized by a notary, because that what notary suppose to do.
When a veteran make sacrifices and asking a notary to notarize a document, and the notary refuses is anti-American. Why can't the notary make a little sacrifice in notarizing a document.

I cannot believe how people that has posted are anti-American. Will not help a veteran or support a veteran anyway that made sacrifices for the freedom you have.

I am a Veteran and if it is the banks rules to only notarize for account holders then too bad. Why do you think being a vet makes it okay for them to break their rules. Go to any of the accountants downtown and they will probably do it for you and quit bi tching.
