You are right!!! An axe murderer or a perv would have been so much more appropriate. Even a hooker or sexy nurse ,my goodness what a disgrace.

Those choices are no more appropriate than the one chosen. You don't dress in black face and you don't dress as someone with a disability. Schools should know this.

Two words. Overly sensitive. Everybody is so fast to "LOOK" for things to criticize. I can tell I have a close friend in a wheelchair and he would not mind at all someone pushing a walker on HALLOWEEN, I'm sure if we took each and every costume out there someone would have an issue with it....Let's move on and see if we can get Knox Central out of the gutter on test scores instead of critiquing how a teacher dresses on halloween.....shew...

A good way to start getting it out of the gutter is to have teachers who are professionals. It's ok to mock disabled and have a child stabbed and termed horseplay.

the principle should resign for allowing such a travesty and the superintendant. Ronald Reagon should rise from the grave and declare catsup a vegetable.

The person that wore the costume in question isn't even a knox county teacher or a knox county schools employee. She is employed through a grant funded program.

Now, until you know the facts, shut up and stop bashing the school.

Quit pissing and moaning. You can dress like an African American eating a bucket of fried chicken, or dress like a Caucasian, with a food stamp card. We have freedom.

All this complaining is going to accomplish is getting Halloween taken out of the school. Years ago all people had to dress up as was old people in overalls. The kids enjoy when their teachers dress up. Get a life lady.

Why would someone take away the holiday from the kids? The employees need guidelines maybe if they don't dress appropriately . I would think all teachers would know what's appropriate but apparently not.

The "teacher" was dressed for a literary character in the book, Grandma's Pocketbook. She was carrying the book too. You all just want to find evil in people that try their best to help your kids. Instead of taking time to complain, go to the school and volunteer or just visit and meet some very awesome people!

I couldn't agree more! I think its offensive to use a walker, cane, etc when you don't need one! That's poking fun at ppl that use them and its very inapproiate! Just wait until they need one. The time will come and I hope ppl make fun of them!
