I've always heard that the Serpent (in the Garden)...was supposedly Satan. However, I don't think the Bible ever says it was him. It simply reads as if it was a talking snake.

What is your opinion on this subject?...thanks!

Yes, the serpent was Satan. His spirit was in the serpent. And because he lied to Eve, God put a curse on the serpent. That's why the serpent slithers across the ground and has no legs.

Yes, but the term "Serpent" was being used as a statement of degradation in that verse in Revelation. Just because it uses the term "That old Serpent" doesn't mean it was the Serpent in Eden.

No, the Donkey never spoke own it's own. It was used to speak through. It's not as you would see in cartoons and movies as a Donkey actually speaking/talking.

The scripture's clearly state the Angel spoke THROUGH the Donkey, something along the lines of possession, much in the same manner when "Jesus" sent the demons into the pigs/swine.

The Donkey simply opened it's mouth and the voice was the Angel's not the Donkey's.

For all you people know it could have been god testing eve. You cant use bible verses in ways they were not meant, just because of key words. This happens alot in the southern baptist bible belt. Its called bending meanings to fit the current need.shame on you people, or did god make you do it?

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:(James 1:13 KJV)

God cannot tempt any man into evil nor be tempted
By evil, therefore all temptation comes
From
The devil.

You asked for a specific statement from the bible as a matter of documented fact. You recieved that statement. I will leave the debating of the merits of the statement to others.

Yes, in which you failed to provide. I was already quite aware of the verse in Revelation. Which does NOT say he was the Serpent in the GARDEN. Simply calling Satan a Serpent does not clarify. It also calls him a Dragon in the same passage. So, does that mean Satan is Puff the Magic Dragon?

I am well aware of what you were seeking. That is the reason I posted the fact of a biblical statement, knowing you were on a fishing trip. The fact that a biblical statement has been proven for all to see and use in the future, has been proven.

You would do well to learn to phrase your questions in a more bullet proof fashion in the future, to prevent embarrasement born of biblical ignorance.

If you want the serpent to be puff the magic dragon, so be it. That is your opininn--(value 0). You and I have had many encounters before, your thread was seen thru from the begining.

You have my permission to begin your spell check and language critique when you become frustrated. No need to change your tactics.

I'm asking how the verse you posted proves Satan was in the Garden. How does it?
