i brought my family back from michigan about a year ago and looked around for a good church to take my family to. and i hate to say it but i cannot find one at all that don't have very bad problems! i mean adultry, stealing, fornication, dangerous gossiping, preachers hopping from one church to the other. jealousy, drug use by members but say they are prescribed so that makes it ok, drinking in private but voted against the wet option. very very bad hypocrites around here ! i feel that the devil runs this religous community. any one got any ideas on where to try ?

I myself have been a "member" of one church my entire life. Now that the pastor is aging sitting through his sermons could be compared to your worst or most boring high school teacher! We have lost several members due to this problem. I have been looking myself and I also find this problem. However, I've also realize that just because the person sitting next to me in the pew is a theif, home wrecker, drug abuser or whatever else has nothing to do with my relationship with God. I feel that if I'm in a intimate relationship with the creator that maybe I could be of some kind of help to them.

I think our problem is that we think our church is for the righteous, and we are right but church is FOR the sinner. The sinner meaning me, the theif, the drug user etc. My sin may (in our eyes) not even compare to the theif but in Gods eyes sin is sin. Regardless of the degree. We are no better than ANYONE on this planet!! Yes, we may be sanctified but do you feel as though he loves you more? We are ALL SINNERS!

Religion is as corrupt as our government. Nothing but a cult basically. Church is just a place they hold their meetings and steal money from people.

I'm sorry that you feel that way! However, it is America you are entitled to you opinion.

why do you worship the beast who once was, NOW is not, yet will come?

GOD is NOW omnipresent.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the begotten more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

###***Hebrews 12:29 FOR OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE***###

Revelation 19:20
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 20:10
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I would expect someone who has been corrupted by the church to say that.

It sounds like you would criticize anyone who doesn't believe the way you do. That is what I don't believe in. I was taught not to hate anyone, regardless of their beliefs, but some people -even Christians- hate others who don't believe exactly as they do. It's sad really.

What? To say its the sad truth? Not me! Just because I choose to Christianity doesn't mean everyone HAS too!! I'm not nor will I ever be like that! Its a personal decision. That's between you and God, not me you and God!!

I agree and it didn't sound to me that you were saying it was a "sad truth".

It's the Pastor's and those running the churches own fault. They're not doing thing's right, and when this happens, it spreads like cancer.

If you are Christian you should know that you are the church. The building that we visit on Sundays is not the church, it is the people within. God places you in the church family to encourage each other and spread the Gospel to everyone. If you are not satisfied with the church you are going to, it is time for you to pray for direction. He will bring you to the place He wants you to serve. I hope you find the church you are looking for.

I have been serving the Lord at home for several years now. I have had sinners treat me better then the so call christian that attends their social clubs every Sunday and Wednesdays. There are many that if you have money then they will except you with open arms. There are only 2 preachers in this whole county that I know of are not a hypocrite. Just they have a church that is trying to tear each other up. If the preacher isn't tickling their ear then the trouble starts, or start their own club. The worst are the pentecostal Social Club, I myself feel safer at home.
