Heres what I want to know. People can walk around with their pistols on their sides, but I cant walk around with my AR on my back. People think your out to rob places. You know everywhere you went with an AR on your back, no one would mess with you. lol

You most certainly can carry your AR .... and if you have a CDW you can carry it concealed.. There is no specification in Kentucky Law that differentiates between a hand gun and a long gun for open or concealed carry...
Wow what an idiot

If you are stopped and are armed in KY you must show your CCDW license when asked. In some states you have to show a concealed license even if not asked. I doubt any officer that stopped you and you were carrying would not ask for your license. If you don't have a license you can be charged with carrying a concealed weapon (a felony). Everyone should get in the habit of showing their concealed license along with their drivers license when stopped. In some states if you don't show it immediately when stopped they can and will take it
even if its issued in another state. example are Ohio and Michigan.
A weapon is not considered concealed in the state of Kentucky if it is in the glove box or in plain site. You should really re-think calling people stupid when you haven't read the law yourself numbnuts.

The only place I've ever been to that was full of individuals who were obviously armed was a police station. You will have the upper hand if the bad guy doesn't know you are armed. If you think you are going to deter a crime because some one sees you are armed explain why so many police officers a shot each year. Please use your ccdw, open carry doesn't make you look more mocho nor does it impress anyone. It just shows no common sense.
You really don't realize the number of people you pass by every day that are armed because they don't advertise the fact.

We Are allowed to open carry.... I carry concealed and open depending on the situation and what I'm wearing... If I am riding down the road in a T-Shirt It's more than likely open.. If I walk into Wally World, a restaurant or a crowd.. it's more than likely concealed... Most cops I know prefer Open so they can see it as they approach...

You guys that keep spouting these 'laws' about open carry and what constitutes concealed, need to look up the actual laws and stop basing your entire legal knowledge base on a brochure. Oh, call the sheriff's office if you want but allot of law enforcement don't know the law either.

With all do respect, everyone is not like you. Most people have no problem with that concept when talking about other races. I realize the need to protect oneself, so by all means carry.

Actually your attitude makes you an Idiot with a Gun... The kind of idiot with a gun that does great damage to those that think the right to have fire arms should not be infringed... Your attitude is what gets laws such as are in place in several cities that make it a criminal offense to carry a weapon of any kind...

Not that I am trying to contradict you, what would you define as being a right? What I get out of this particular post is that people have no rights. Remember, I am looking for clarity and in no way am I trying to belittle you.
Well I miss your reply but ran across it again and thought I would clarify my view...

You have all kinds of rights.. pretty much what ever you think yourself and others should be able to do when ever you wish is your Right... But with those individual rights comes individual responsibility for the effect of you exercising those rights.

The point I was making that some things I would consider My Individual Right might not be You view of what You would consider Your Individual Right.. Rights are Self Evident and Inalienable but only when the civilization you live within agrees that Specific Rights are important do we protect those rights by adding them to local and national constitutions for protection under the law.

The Government cannot declare I have a Right.. If a Government I like gives a Right, a government I dislike can just as simply take it away...

For example I think it's a Right to put anything into my body I want to.. I say it's my Right to do drugs, drink alcohol, eat bugs, Smoke cig's, drink poison ext..... But today most people disagree and it is Not a protected Right because it has not been Codified as such. Except for Alcohol which was at one point attempted to have that right actually removed with the 18th amendment but since it was a right that amendment could not stop people from drinking alcohol. Then it was given Protection under the Constitution. Because a True Individual Right cannot be Given so it cannot be taken away.. Now since those other rights I stated are not protected they can be made punishable but that does not take them away.

Hope that clarifies what I meant by The Government don't actually give rights because all rights existed long before any government and government can only protect those rights the people choose as important enough to codify.

There is no law to prevent you from carrying unconcealed at 18 so its legal to do so.
Yes you can buy a hand gun at 18 but only from an private party you have to be 21 to buy from a FFL dealer to buy ammo from a dealer for a handgun it 21 also.
