If you had to pass an IQ test prior to voting, I can tell you who it would not be.

You know I did look that up and I even looked at other audits and they said there were different numbers of money missing in other towns or countys but nowhere in bvilles did it ever say money was missing or a amount so it's very easy to see why Williams has signed up to run after he voted Thompson off there but I would vote for west or thompson first

The ones in now have caused money issues like the town has never seen from legal fees the audit and bad decisions the city clerks say the town can't afford being run this way very much longer and they are the ones that have been around a long time and had many councils and mayors and nobody can dispute this fact .

....and you think the town got "this way" how, exactly? Seriously, you realize there was an audit conducted right?

Where men of good moral fiber and Godliness sit idle these kinda things happen. After all its your town your money being governed by men and women who have no grasp or concept of truth honesty or even servitude. You get what you voted for.

Those holding the reins now have not had time to create "money issues like the town has never seen", although many were there during their beginning. All that is happening now is that all of the problems are out in the open and there is no one covering up the deficits. Take one item only as an example; the prices at the water park have been raised because it is in desperate need of repair,$70,000 worth if you read the papers. It has not been kept up over the last several years. That is not a new problem, but one that has to be dealt with now. Everything is catching up with us that was hidden all along behind engaging smiles and a Mayberry style presentation.
Whether the current crew running the show are capable of solving the problems and restoring fiscal balance is unclear, but these are not new problems that they are just now creating. Solutions need to be their work product and people are going to suffer now because of past mistakes. It is unavoidable.

If this is so true than barnes and Williams at the least should resign and Williams must be a fool for running back as mayor but making the children pay for the city councils problems is wrong

Some kids are born with their hand out , not because they are beggars but because their mother is.

The free for all day set a terrible precedent and contributed to the current problems. A family day with reduced rates would have been a much better idea since the water park was losing money. But all of that is past and dissecting it now that more people know what was going on won't help. What counts now is getting solvent for the future. It is unfortunate that poor decisions are causing hardship and resentment now, and I understand how an eight year old would say something like "they are harming children", but an adult ought to be able to reason out that you can't instantly make up for years of mismanagement or make a potful of money materialize out of thin air to maintain the status quo. Somebody has to be the adult.

Please run it as a business. It either has to make money or at least break even.

Free = More taxes.

Alright enough! David & Wendi keep posting,,,,, Quit blaming the council! The mayor controls money, jobs & spending. Council does policies and recommends what residents see they need done. Thompson used your kids to keep heat off what he was doing. We are broke and Thompson is rich and his wife bought new daycare and mercedes. Do you not get it? He's broke us til our city employees are gonna lose JOBS!
