What people say
"Our network performance dropped significantly when a combination of viruses overwhelmed our routers and caused a 10-fold spike in our active connections. Within an hour, we used Allot's NetEnforcer to identify ports used by viruses, and we created policies stopping the spread of the SoBig, Blaster and SQLSlammer viruses to our user base."

I also use torrents to transfer legitimate large legal document folders and files around the country and internationally.
The BUC 'IT' programmers recently "created(new) policies" to close off/disable certain ports on their end which effectively disallows any file transports on the system using the most vulnerable ports that includes ports used to transfer/down or upload torrent files.
our IT guy said the only workaround is to purchase a subscription VPN(virtual private network)to continue to ship files through torrents in this user area...proxies will not work either
so yeah, bit torrents can no longer be sent or received or seeded openly over the local online network.

Yes they do spy on u...I downloaded a show off of HBO and they suspended my internet saying that I was stealing from them by not paying for the package with HBO....So I said...FU and canceled it and moved to Windstream where they don't care what I download!
