Wuzza Bvilian,

hmmm...Lancing Michigan. Yeah a lot of eastern KY folk in Michigan.
All my uncles moved there when they were young to work at the car factories.

When in high school I went and spent every summer with my uncle who lived in Taylor beside the airport.

I got serious with a girl up there for a long time. She lived in Irish Hills, on a private lake there. Beautiful country.

I have a marvelous civil war pic. Spent a yr in Springfield, IL, just as they opened the Lincoln Museum there. We had a heck of a parade.
I will upload. Watch for the drummer.
OK SIS, funny to find you here! When I seen the pictures I knew it was you, even before I read the captions. Bored, we have not had school in a week.

It is good to have an appreciative audience, even if it is family! Hope you are doing well.

Yes in high school, we learned in geography that I75 goes north to Detroit! Actually, I am not in Lansing although I know that Topix is advertising that. I may be close - don't know enough Michigan geography to tell. I have been here 2 weeks on a job. Thanks for noticing.

You'll learn everywhere there fast, and if you ever meet my ex girlfriend of 28 years ago in Irish Hills, tell her I am just fine!

Misty - I worked in Farmington Hills for a bit and I don't blame you for not wanting to leave there. It is beautiful.
Thanks for the "Jeans Depot". I have been trying to think of that one for several days.
OK - this is for the oldsters (like me).
Garland's store - in Bimble, behind where IGA is now.
Ha ha! You can surly tell you WAS a Bvillian! IGA that was in Bimble is now MSHA. IGA is now in the shopping center where Winn Dixie use to be. Close to Wal-Mart. You haven't been here in a while I'm taking it. I remember Garland's store well. Jakie use to always be standing on the corner handing out candy to all the kids.

I will be glad to carry the good word. Although if she let you get away, she does not make good decisions and you should be glad you got away!

I will have to check out Irish Hills, soon as this place thaws a bit!

Golly Geeee...*blush*..hehe,...thank you..you smooth talker!
Distance killed that though.

Irish Hills is on North of you. If you ask anyone there where there is a road with a big full sized T-Rex (located on the left side of the road going that way...and not sure its still there) they should know Irish Hills.
Or the best way to locate it is ask anyone where Ted nugent lives. Same area. He runs an Outdoor shop located on the road going there.

I'm trying to remember the cab drivers in town. I remember one named earn walker, caney sams, nelson gray, chester elam, does anyone remember the others?
I am the youngest daughter of Aaron Walker's. Thank you for remembering him, it has been a long time. These were the other drivers that my mother remembers. Lige Hammons, Amos Messer, Clark Mills, and Jimmy Jackson drive on Aaron Walker's licences after he passed in 76.

Actually, when I left, IGA was on Knox street, down the road from Knox Cash Jobbers and sort of behind the strip mall where A&P was. Now I see Knox St seems to have been truncated and that part of the street is gone.

They out to put that store on wheels!

Anyone remember Bonnie's Cafe on the court square, just before you get to Hobbs'? As you are coming up Knox St on the left, turn left onto the court square and it was 2 or 3 businesses down on the left. I used to go there for a chili dog and play pinball. One day I went there and the one pinball machine was gone. Replacing it was something new called a video game (Pong). I was so pissed, but later started playing it instead :)
