John C. Slusher of Pineville indicted!

Five Kentuckians are among eight people indicted on federal charges related to the sale of stolen motorcycles.

Earlier this month, a federal grand jury indicted 52-year-old Mark Justice of Ashland, 58-year-old John C. Slusher of Pineville, 31-year-old Robert Jason Chapman of Cleves, Ohio, 63-year-old George Ferguson of Ashland, 64-year-old Richard D. Meade of Ashland, 60-year-old Robert W. Harris of Newport, 33-year-old Shon Fields of Cincinnati, and 31-year-old Christina Bannigan of Cleves, Ohio.

All eight defendants were indicted on charges in a money laundering conspiracy related to the interstate shipment of stolen vehicles.

Federal investigators say the indictment also charges some of the defendants with money laundering and possessing stolen vehicle parts with the intent to sell them.

Fields is also charged with obstruction of justice, and Harris is charged with lying to a federal law enforcement agency.

The indictment claims the defendants altered or obliterated the vehicle identification numbers from stolen motorcycles. Investigators say the defendants then transferred the title of the motorcycles to others, before selling them, to hide the fact the motorcycles had been stolen.

Investigators say the conspiracy stretched from January 2000 until February 2008. Investigators say the defendants made $2.5 million from the conspiracy.

The indictment claims most of the criminal activity took place in Bell and Boyd Counties.

OK, the story is he put his partner in crime, Scott Madon, in charge of the pawn shop so old John could slip out of the spotlight. Just another paper scam. Notice the feds seized the pawn shop building. And John is listed as being in the pawn business with Mack Yoakum in Barbourville.

Say, didn't they seize that house he built for his girlfriend, too? At least the wife gets to keep hers.

No the Fed did not seize the pawn shop. That address is 109 main st. They seized 107 main st. the building next door. They did seize the pawn shop building in pineville. Lief shriner you need to get it straight if your going to get on here at least know what your talking about!

Did John just keep you around for your looks? That's exactly the pawn shop I was talking about. He was involved with more than one and kept his nose in the one in Pineville. Still transacted business there so not the best of cover stories.

And the floating cards games, bootlegging, prostitution and assorted vices were being fronted by a guy from Ohio. Almost forgot about that one. Somebody needs to pass that along. Starting to sound like - racketeering.
