It will be legal to grow Hemp in Ky. if the govt. legalizes it. Four Democrats and two Republicans voted against the bill. All six against were from Southeastern Ky.

It is to be used for industrial purposes, not to get high on. It will have just .03 percent of THC which is what pot contains to get people high. So it's not near as potent as the lowest grade of marijuana. The US Govt. still has to approve the growing in the state. I used to hear people say "They're smoking rope again". Rope used to be made from Hemp a long time ago.

I know a family that used to grow hemp in ky, they would grow it collect the seeds for the gov. then the gov would send the seeds south to grow more than one crop a year.,, they then burned the fields. was better than tobbaco crop, it wasnt smoked back then, I just wonder if the burning party was happy happy happy,

It only passed the Senate ... Has Not passed the House and has not gotten support from the Governor.... It also would require the the Federal Government change the Federal Laws and separate Hemp below 3% THC from other Marijuana plants... So don't start celebrating....

Legalization of hemp would bring great business and money to our state, and contrary to "smoking rope" you would have to smoke 20 yards to get high anyways.-ndustrial hemp can me made into virtually anything, from clothes to energy, and its natural. So why not try it!
