What im saying is that people that get everything free in life an don't pay taxes to begin with shouldn't get mad for a man that does pay taxes for getting a break now an then by getting a little free gas.People just want to make to big of a deal out of it.
Where and how do you people get they don't pay taxes?

People who draw disability and so forth do pay taxes. You pay taxes every time you buy a piece of bubble gum.

My son works for a company and is supplied a company car for him, just when he is at work, He drives his personal vehicle to his place of employment and picks up his work vehicle. They provide the gas for it and cover the insurance. He is not allowed to have anyone ride with him in this vehicle what so ever. It is a "WOK CAR" plain and simple. After work he takes it back to his employer, does his mileage for the day and turns it back over to the company. I think that is the way it should work for all company's that supply them with a vehicle to drive. This includes all government vehicles too. All police cars and anyone who is issued a car to drive while at "WORK". Just think of the money it would save our local, state and federal. I am not being mean in no way. But just they word company vehicle says it all. It for use for the company, not personal use. And not to fill up your personal vehicle with their company credit cards. I know their are some people that will fight you over this, saying its a company PERK. To me a perk is a RAISE. I have a car for my personal use and I do not need a company vehicle to dive on my days off. It is time for our local governments to review this policy and maybe save the tax payers some money. Just my opinion.

Think about this from a different aspect. Many of the county workers who have a company vehicle are supervisors/managers. Even when off the clock, just heading to the grocery they are going to take the long way to pass different job sites to look in on them. Making sure work is done, no one is messing with the site after hours, noticing potholes or other things that need fixed along the way. They are not getting paid for that by salary, but it evens out in the end.

Police officers, yes many do drive their vehicles home. It's a deterrent. Having vehicles out in the open around town, even if it's sitting at the officers home helps keep crime down. If all cars were checked in after shift criminals would know exactly how many cruisers were out, could know where they are and have people watching them. Having the cars out leaves people to have to guess. Even when an officer is off shift, say driving down to the store to get milk and he sees a crime in progress he is going to act. Police officers are 24/7. You see a cop car drive by and you are up to no good then you behave. Plus, something big happens and officers need back up, would you really want the officers to have to go pick up the vehicle and then go to the site or go directly to the site? Those minutes could = lives saved.

Lastly people are talking about those who are receiving benefits or assistance don't get a say. This is ridiculous. I know there may be a few that play the system all their lives but the majority may hit a year or two of bad times. They pay taxes up to that point and then taxes after that point. During the time they need help they certainly have the right to voice their opinion.

If I give you money and you go buy something...and taxes are applied

It would appear that I have paid the taxes. You only carried MY money to the store.

So if the governments: state and federal take the money that I paid in taxes...and give it to you....and you purchase something...it still looks like I paid the taxes and all you did was carry the money to the store.

Help me see where I am wrong...of great one :)

That's a really, really long sentence. Here's a tip too, when a word is underlined in red, it's not spelled correctly.

My point is when readability of a post is poor, people are less likely to take your opinion seriously. It doesn't matter if what you post is true. Reading that paragraph makes me wonder if you're drunk...

You people elected board officials that allowed Walter Hulett to drive county vehicle and use tax money back and forth for years. I personally have seen him on weekends driving around London in that vehicle.
Anyone driving around a board vehicle now is ripping off tax dollars. Maintence, bus garage etc...
