Footage of hundreds of armored trucks, reportedly purchased recently by the Department Of Homeland Security has appeared online, raising more questions over their intended use.

The video was uploaded to YouTube last week shows hundreds of military style trucks loaded on to a train, presumably in the process of being delivered domestically for law enforcement or military purposes.

As reported today, the DHS’ mass arms build-up continues, with the report that the agency has bought another 360,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition to add to the roughly 2 billion bullets already bought over the past year.

Such stark activity with little to no background detail has prompted several Congressmen to ask the federal government for an explanation. According to some elected representatives, the DHS has refused to answer specific questions on the purchases, stating only that the ammunition is for “training purposes” over the next five years, and has been bulk ordered to save money.

military experts have noted that hollow point bullets are unsuitable for training, and are much more expensive than full metal jackets.

Efforts by government media mouthpieces to dismiss the story have only caused it to become more viral.

The DHS has also purchased 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles, as well as cementing a $2 million dollar relationship with a contractor that recently had to apologize for producing shooting targets of pregnant women, children and elderly gun owners depicted in residential settings.

The DHS has also been busy buying large supplies of body armor, leading to shortages. Last year, the agency put out an urgent order for “riot gear” in anticipation of civil unrest. The agency has also ordered bullet-proof checkpoint booths and hired hundreds of new security guards to protect government buildings over the course of the last 12 months. None of this has been addressed by the mainstream media.

I bet that dinner got Hubby stretched out like a fat cat, huh;) I read about that dance you were referring to. Hehehe. That's a nice way to put a love relationship. Have a pleasant night. I have such a bad time of it here. Probably, be dragging tonight.
he works third shift so no stretching like a fat cat for him tonight and to make it even better.... there is still white on the ground and im nervous about the roads getting slick as the temp drops since they stayed wet today...so i got to shove him out the door an hour early...lmao

i love him everyday but i cant say the same for liking him and it seems today we were dancing with four left feet or maybe its just his time of the month idk. i asked him if he wanted a hit off my advair...again not amused...said i was picking on him...... i will give him that i suppose. i have been known to be a picker.lol

oh well... i will get a good nights sleep and he will be freezing his hiney off at work all night and come in the morning wanting to snuggle and then we will like each other again :) not a single argument we have ever had couldn't be resolved by an eight hour break from each others company.

my real fat cats are very stretched out and sleeping sound from the leftovers.......

We stocked up on the primatene mist inhalers when they were taken off the shelf. I have one left here at home minus the mouthpiece. Partner stopped using advair. Seemed to be having an effect on the performance ahem. Well, a month or so after he went cold turkey and went back to primatene voila. No problem. Unfortunately, it was pulled from the shelf- an aerosol product that depletes the ozone- but it was affordable and easily accessible. Take care. Lights out for me. hehehe...

Lol! The Anne is actually my middle name...without the "e" and its my g'daughters actual middle name. Lol! My g'son called me today and thanked me for the goodie box I sent them while at their dads--250 miles away...The big hit of the goodie box? Decorative duct tape!!! She makes purses and hair bows but I'm not sure what he will come up with ! Also sent a cake mix, icing with sprinkles, candles and balloons so they can have a nonbirthday party! Can't let them forget me while theyre gone! Lol.
Whew heating bills are a real bear this time of year unless you're like AW and heat with wood. As they say wood warms you twice ; when you cut it and then when you burn it! Lol
I don't heat totally with wood. When I came back to my Dad's old homestead (built in 1940s), I tore out the low ceilings (with my heighth and hat) of the kitchen and living room and the back entrance room. I made it into just one big room containing a country kitchen/den/entrance foyer and covered the apex (that once was the attic) with tongue and groove oak planking. That is the only area that I heat with wood. The bedrooms, laundry room, and large walk-in closet/storage room has electric heat and it is also expensive. So I only heat that area at night. Actually, wood warms you 3 times. Cutting, then splitting and stacking, and then burning.

Reminds me of my stay at home mom--after her kids flew the coop--she'd hear my dad pull in the long gravel driveway, get up from laying on the couch, put the dinner plates and silverware on the table and be peeling potatoes by the time dad got in the door. "Supper will be ready in just a few minutes!" He had NO idea she had spent the last hour on the couch!! Haha! She never let him catch her on the couch!( uh, in all fairness to her, she did have health problems!)
Men can have their "ways" to without actually telling lies. Since my career involved managing a 24/7 operation and I commuted long distances to work, I would quite often stay in the city for the start of the 2nd shift. Rather than stay at the office, I would go to a couple of local places and hang out and keep "calling in" to insure things were going well.

The first place was a PUB type place and the 2nd was a Country-Western bar where I liked to go to shoot pool just to relax and forget about work for a while and wait for the traffic to die down before commuting home. The wife liked the PUb and even went there sometimes, but she did not like for me to go to the country bar and shoot pool. So when I got home, if she asked where I had been then I would say "I went by the PUB". Sure I did, I went right on by the PUB on my way to shoot pool. LOL If she wanted to assume that I had stopped at the PUB, who am I to discourage her assumption? hahaha

As for some posts dropping off into Oblivion and sometimes even showing up later or duplicated, that is most likely a timing issue more noticeable when one is typing something rather long winded.

The transfer and editing of data is not immediate, although it may seem so at most times. If several posters are posting long winded items, then the forum is simply trying to "catch up" with the processing and we go off to do some other operation which just causes what we posted to disappear entirely. Patience is the key to successful posting.

Well, while watching the fore cast on Tv this morning at 4am, I see that we are actually heading into some warmer weather. Looking at 60's for this weekend. I will be off for the first time in nearly a year. Looking forward to that!

Oh, I'm getting rid of the Good Morning name and will start using Anne.
Btw, what's with not getting a post to show up on the thread? I've typed in a couple "long" posts only to have them just kinda disappear! I've been posting on topix several months and not had this happen so I'm puzzled.
Good morning, Anne I have no idea why that happens, but I have lost posts in cyberspace on a couple of occasions and it is aggravating. Sometimes, they appear later, and then you get the double post. I hate the snow. It's cold here right now, and I await spring.

Love that name; it's my middle one without that pretty little e at the end. I know all about the past months' power bills. Mine have been around $170 three months consecutively. Shew. Cannot wait for warmer weather;)
How would you like to get $300.oo Power bills. Yikes. Please spring, arrive already.

Glad that you have time off to look forward to. Still having insomnia, huh? Well, me too, and it isn't fun. I wait for daybreak on many occasions.

I just get up and read and post on Topix and Facebook, play a few games of spider solitaire and get sleepy and go back to bed. My best sleep is generally on the 3rd round unless Arthur is in the house. LOL That is the good thing about being retired, it does not matter when I sleep. Unfortunately Roaming has schedules to maintain and I have empathy for her insomnia. I guess you do too with the little guy.

What a night! No sleep till earlier this morning! At least I didn't have to get up to go to work. My daughter grumbled all the way out the door that it wasnt fair and she wanted to be on spring break like her kids.:-(
AW, you are absolutely correct about wood warming you 3 times! Probably even more than that! Lol. I love the smell of hickory!
Just spoke with my dirt/dozer/septic man to get him to clear some trees so a fence can be put up. I told him I need my entry gates widened so I can be sure he can forever be certain he can get that semi and dozer trailer in here without tearing this new fence down. He has worked for me every year for the last 6 years and also keeps my tractors etc running. One reason I picked him is because he's so much younger than us and when we are old he will still be young enough to do our odd jobs !!! Hehehe!

Fortunately, my home is small. With four in the household and no income for the month of January really made it difficult. Yes, I would really be upset with that. But , of course, I have a $200 plus phone bill to look forward to every month also. It offsets during the better weather. I would be like Yikes as well;)

I wondered why you were posting all during the night!!! Last night I did a little of that except I use the iPhone and just prop myself up on the pillows. Sometimes I read some of those books I buy 3@$1.49 from the local Goodwill. At that time of night the books have to be easy reads!

I generally go to bed with the chickens and get up with the dog making about 3 or 4 passes at sleeping. LOL Television is not hardly worth staying up much longer than the news, which I rarely watch anyways.
