<quoted text> Well, Anne, I have them disappear as well. I usually get sidetracked or try to send without my name.Poof, gone. LOL. Mine aren't important anyway. Love that name; it's my middle one without that pretty little e at the end. I know all about the past months' power bills. Mine have been around $170 three months consecutively. Shew. Cannot wait for warmer weather;)
How would you like to get $300.oo Power bills. Yikes. Please spring, arrive already.

Men can have their "ways" to without actually telling lies. Since my career involved managing a 24/7 operation and I commuted long distances to work, I would quite often stay in the city for the start of the 2nd shift. Rather than stay at the office, I would go to a couple of local places and hang out and keep "calling in" to insure things were going well.
The first place was a PUB type place and the 2nd was a Country-Western bar where I liked to go to shoot pool just to relax and forget about work for a while and wait for the traffic to die down before commuting home. The wife liked the PUb and even went there sometimes, but she did not like for me to go to the country bar and shoot pool. So when I got home, if she asked where I had been then I would say "I went by the PUB". Sure I did, I went right on by the PUB on my way to shoot pool. LOL If she wanted to assume that I had stopped at the PUB, who am I to discourage her assumption? hahaha
Oh, you are so slyyyyyy. Hubby did the same thing, but I had him figured out, and just didn't say anything. Bet your wife was on to you too..LOL.

Well, while watching the fore cast on Tv this morning at 4am, I see that we are actually heading into some warmer weather. Looking at 60's for this weekend. I will be off for the first time in nearly a year. Looking forward to that!
Glad that you have time off to look forward to. Still having insomnia, huh? Well, me too, and it isn't fun. I wait for daybreak on many occasions.

I just get up and read and post on Topix and Facebook, play a few games of spider solitaire and get sleepy and go back to bed. My best sleep is generally on the 3rd round unless Arthur is in the house. LOL That is the good thing about being retired, it does not matter when I sleep. Unfortunately Roaming has schedules to maintain and I have empathy for her insomnia. I guess you do too with the little guy.

What a night! No sleep till earlier this morning! At least I didn't have to get up to go to work. My daughter grumbled all the way out the door that it wasnt fair and she wanted to be on spring break like her kids.:-(
AW, you are absolutely correct about wood warming you 3 times! Probably even more than that! Lol. I love the smell of hickory!
Just spoke with my dirt/dozer/septic man to get him to clear some trees so a fence can be put up. I told him I need my entry gates widened so I can be sure he can forever be certain he can get that semi and dozer trailer in here without tearing this new fence down. He has worked for me every year for the last 6 years and also keeps my tractors etc running. One reason I picked him is because he's so much younger than us and when we are old he will still be young enough to do our odd jobs !!! Hehehe!

Fortunately, my home is small. With four in the household and no income for the month of January really made it difficult. Yes, I would really be upset with that. But , of course, I have a $200 plus phone bill to look forward to every month also. It offsets during the better weather. I would be like Yikes as well;)

I wondered why you were posting all during the night!!! Last night I did a little of that except I use the iPhone and just prop myself up on the pillows. Sometimes I read some of those books I buy 3@$1.49 from the local Goodwill. At that time of night the books have to be easy reads!

I generally go to bed with the chickens and get up with the dog making about 3 or 4 passes at sleeping. LOL Television is not hardly worth staying up much longer than the news, which I rarely watch anyways.

I have had insomnia since age 16. It has been good and bad and worse. My comment on it usually is "I'll sleep when I'm dead". I think that's as good as it gets.

I have never suffered from insomnia the way you do. If it happens I bring it on myself by drinking soft drinks or tea with caffeine! Even when I have them early in the day the caffeine destroys my sleep . I know of a couple friends that had a difficult time motivating of a morning and had stiff joints. Their problem turned out to be aspertaine poisoning! One from diet Mtn dew and the other from diet cokes! A couple weeks doing without certainly improved their condition so they didn't start the diet drinks again! In a nutshell I guess there's nothing good about soft drinks!

That's true. I drink a LOT of water at work. And, I don't have any ckes aftr I get off from work. I think mine is stress related. I felt stresed a lot from an early age. If hey made a pill that made my brain shut off I would be able to sleep but that never happens. It is what it is.

I do know of something that really relaxes me!!! I go the chiropractor and after an adjustment I get a massage!! One $25 co-pay covers both and the massage is for one hour! I will say this , if it doesn't help you relax to let you sleep the massage is still mighty fine!!! The chiropractor I go to has 3 masseuse and each one is so different from the other . So if you do this try out a few different ones so you will know what you like best.

I agree-- mine is just how my brain works. Work related stress only aggravates mine. It's like my brain catches on things and I can't shut it off long enough to get into dreamland. After many years, I've learned to work around it.
