Good Morning Blueminer, and all. I have found that for me personally that the best way to maintain Peace on my Life's trail, is to focus on the Blessings I have had in the past and the one's I have today and the hopes for future new ones and not so much on the bad or what is missing even though it is a piece of my heart.
Let the bad times stay in the shadows until they eventually fade away. That may or may not work for everyone, but it has been my source of comfort. Have a Good Day everyone. I think if I dress warmly, I should be able to get outside to enjoy today's blessings. I don't do so well indoors as outdoors.
You say so much with so few words. I remember as a child the smell of pine trees.I like you enjoy nature and the landscape. It gives me far greater peace than a book or a game. I agree with your perspective .

Good morning, everyone. Hubby just took the little guy to his karate class, so I can get the computer for awhile. Hubby has been watching the snowstorm in New England. I swear that there is something wrong with that man. We grew up there, and winter after winter, he grumbled about snow, clearing our driveway, and slick roads. Now that we are safely in Ky., he's acting like he misses the excitement of a big snow storm. Can you imagine???LOL If I could magically transport him there for 1 day, he
would be begging to get back to KY. Go figure.
It might make him think back when he was younger. I know, partner complains about feeling old and I have for years on him. Men are even stranger creatures than women at times. LOL.

@Lala.. Maybe you are just missing Hubby's reasons for watching the snow storm. I quite often look at tornadoes and hurricanes to count my blessings on having survived. It is sort of similar to enjoying going to a High School reunion and being Thankful for all the ugly, fat, and mouthy ones that got away. LOL
I am out making sure my emergency firewood is stashed and dry just in case. I won't burn my wood stove anymore unless I really need it.
I asked partner one time why he held on to several photos of ex girlfriends. He said those pictures are to remind me of what I don't want and need. Now, me on the other hand I like keeping pictures of him because they warm my heart when he's away. I would hope to never forget the names and faces of my children and partner if I were to develop Alzheimer's or dementia. Not all patients do forget. I had a pt. who always knew his wife and son. The son often skyped his father. The son lives in Cali. and his father in Ky. People have different ideas and opinions about things and situations. It never makes any sense to dwell on how others perceive things, situation. I just try to understand and reflect on the positive in life. Time together is made better by focusing on us not what has been. You are fortunate to not have got a mouthy woman because we sometimes act like bloodhounds on a trail that keeps going in circles...Hehe. Now ugly can't entice, but fat could keep you warm. But I think between the stove and dog, their warmth will suffice. LOL.

At age 18, I dated the prettiest sweetest kindest girl in the county (or at least my opinion at the time) but she was more interested in marital bliss than I, who moved away to see the world.

I recently saw her again, and while she is still sweet and kind, all I can say is "that poor soul has really had a hard life and the "bliss" was just not what she had hoped for. I did not see all the world that I thought I wanted, but I saw enough to find some bliss that lasted many years and for that... I am Thankful.

Good day Bird peeps. How beautiful it is outside today! Sunny but still a bit too chilly to do anything out there, I decided. It's till early, so if the wind dies down a little bit, maybe a walk won't be out of the question..

Glad to see everyone was here last night and today. I didn't get back on last night, I wore myself out yesterday afternoon and evening, hehe. It was fun though.

Got my taxes done: AND GOOD NEWS!! No pay, all play!!
(So I went shopping, ROFLMBO)!!!!

Partner usually pays around $1,600 at tax time. He usually misses a quarter or two of payments. Nice, you did get to do some shopping;) The sun is gorgeous here in eastern Ky. I ventured out for about an hour, plan to go do the bulk shopping when it gets warmer. I'm wishing it will. Hehe.

Hope everyone gets out and enjoys the day. Miss the abundance of posts to read but it looks like our departed friend took a bunch with him. Anyway, I am out of here for the day. UK plays at 4:00 and I need to get my running around done, pick up some snacks and head to my sisters for UK Madness.:)

They actually had a 7.0 a few minutes ago. The west coast, Alaska and Europe is really blinking on the map full of earthtquakes.

Strong 6.9 earthquake strikes Colombia; no damage reported

USGS via EPA

An intensity map shows the location of a strong 7-magnitude earthquake that struck southwestern Colombia.

By Andrew Mach, Staff Writer, NBC News
A strong 6.9 magnitude earthquake jolted southwestern Colombia on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake, centered 6 miles southwest of Pasto, was 80.5 miles deep and was felt in Quito, Ecuador 123 miles away.

There were no immediate reports of damage, the Associated Press reported, but USGS Geophysicist John Bellini said when earthquakes are this deep, the potential for significant damage is diminished.

USGS originally reported the tremor, which happened at 9:16 a.m. ET, as a 7.0 magnitude earthquake.

Good mornin Friends. I read the posts from People wishing me well in some of the situations I am currently in.. I would like to say Thank You.
I have freed myself of one of them. Another seems intent on keeping me tore up for a while.
"She" has been quite a mess in my life. It was my bad decision to get involved. I came to my senses a few monthes ago and tried to end the situation. It's a difficult thing to do. I still have my weaknesses. She knows how to play on them. A lonesome 51 y/o man whose mind and body still work like they did when he was in his 20's can become quite painfully entangled with a 30 y/o woman.
My intent has always been to help her out of the totally messed up life she leads. I was convinced that's what she wanted.. Now it's clear she intends to continue down the same old path. While I am going the opposite direction, she takes a little piece of my heart with her.
If something doesn't enrich your life, then toss it.

I don't want to sound rude to you, beings as I don't know anything other than what you placed. But I get the distinct feeling from what you've posted that if you weren't enriching HER life, she might have already tossed you aside. Are you giving her money or paying her bills, or is she self sufficient?
(I've a feeling that she's probably a pretty needy woman from what you've said)..

You might want to evaluate that statement pretty carefully.. I wish you the best. Listen to that little voice in your head, not the one in your heart. The two CAN conflict sometimes..

With each passing day, I'm finding that more and more apparent. It's becoming quite clear just how many socks and different unregistered user I.D's he may have actually flown under on here.

Plus, some of the things that were continually being blamed on other people, were more than likely coming from his own keyboard as well... Those Topix "crimes" he was blaming on other people, have stopped completely on this thread now.
Funny that.

I took a peek into that "other" forum this morning and saw that 'someone' is till trying to pull themselves off as Mr Farter.
(Failing miserably, but still up to it).

Common sense tells me that this is no doubt someone from within his immediate family or one of his real life friends who're trying to do some localized damage control.
My feathers would be ruffled too.

Hey, Blueminer, I found something today that might help you with your current situation. This is so true:

*The past is where you learned the lesson.
*The future is where you apply the lesson.
*Don't give up in the middle.

Think about it that way next time you don't know exactly what you should do.

Best wishes,

well I am done except Arthur wants me to wait awhile to mop. He is not happy with me doing the bending over chores and says they don't make vacumn cleaners for tall guys. I must agree with him and have been thinking of ways to lengthen the handle for him and to put some stilts on the bed. I guess I won't go shopping for any sleepwalkers like Lala. LOL I don't have to worry about her breaking my dishwasher either and that is another thing Arthur would like is for the kitchen sink to be raised about 8 inches. Arthur sure is a picky room mate. A real pain in the..........
haha..... hubby hates to vacuum cause its hurts his back. they do now make one for taller people, well not for but more suited for....
i came home a couple weeks ago to a kirby guy doing a demo for hubby... the main selling point was that it is now bright orange and its supposedly four inches longer than the original handle.
but i think before i put the kinda money they want into a vacuum, i will just vacuum myself and leave hubby out of it. good thing i came home too.... the salesman was not trying to sell me nearly as hard as hubby was and i think if i had been another ten minutes i would be trying to figure out how to return a kirby.

Well, she is partial to Big Chief Fat Feather and wants no part of the two young whipper snappers. LOL Big Chief does not even bother to chase them away because he knows she is quite capable of fighting her own battles. I guess he has seen her win more times than I have. LOL I think it is funny too.

Way to GO, "Betty"!! ROFLMBO!!

I'm not even close to being "trailer park rich" from mine, but I've got enough to redecorate the two rooms in the house that I've had my 'eyeball' on this winter, hehe! A new coat of paint on the walls with some new curtains and bed spreads in each one, YAY!! A small mini makeover with a bit of extra pocket change left over to splurge on some new spring flower bulbs to put outside in a few weeks! Spring and summer flowers outside make for some pretty arrangements inside. Perennial bulbs, of course, hehe. I want my moneys worth.

I might get some more Peonies. Those blooms smell SO heavenly floated in a bowl of water in the house.. I have a few white and pink Peony bushes planted here and there already but I've seen some deep red/burgundy ones in a few flower magazines that I'd love to have..
(Nope might be an old seasoned biker broad, but she still likes for things to be pretty and feminine, hehe).

Wish we could grow Gardenias here. I adore them.

Glad you're having a blast, Betty! Tell us all about your adventures when you get finished having fun! Just where ARE you anyway?? LOL!! Are you sitting somewhere at a slot machine with an umbrella drink? Sitting on a beach somewhere with an umbrella drink? In a cabin somewhere with a hot drink and the fireplace blazing??

DO TELL! Sometimes I live vicariously through you all on here, ROFLMBO!

So much like humans sometimes. HAHA!!

Women who've "aged" have already gained wisdom.

We're like a finely aged wine. Men can shelve us and over look us in time, thinking that we're too old to be that tasty any more. But allow us to breathe for a few minutes and we can beat the socks off that young stuff.

:)
