Without death, there is no life. And without life, there is no death. If either does not exist, then the other cannot and there is no reason for being or having ever even existed except maybe as some inanimate object.

Back to more chores.

I am not superstitious at all. But that belief only propigates immorality and hedonism.

I worry about those that don't think that reward and punishment keeps people moral. If death means nothing then there would be more incidences such as Sandy Hook.

I had an uncle whom died way before I was a little ugly towheaded hellyun. On one of his trips back from the front lines of German action he brought back a hatchet some old German blacksmith forged. My uncle died in that war when he went back to serve. Farm people in thoese times appreciated the smaller things and like me, he had a love for blades and this hatchet just called to him. The small axe was used for many years by my grandparents and somehow the handle was broken and since they had another it was hung up on the shed wall and forgotten. I got the hatchet head last year from I guess it would be a third cousin?? Uncles, son's son if that makes sence. Anyway over the summer I made a new handle for it from African Iron wood center with Buginga slabs. Curved with a raised palm pad for a right handed user. Today after stacking wood I got the hatchet out to split small peices for kindling. This little thing hits like it's lazer guided and splits shaves like a razor. Yea I know shut up already, but sometimes these old things seem to have their own life and do what they do so well. I think my uncle would be pleased.

I don't believe reward and punishment could keep me moral. It would be too much work. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior they are changed. I'm not saying they become perfect, but definitely different.

Who cares what you believe or don't believe? You have poor word choices. There is nothing superstitious about it.

I think death means more knowing that this is the only life we have which makes it more precious. I don't break the law, I pay my taxes, do volunteer work, raise my children well, and work hard. Belief in the supernatural has nothing to do with how moral a person is.

That is a little bit better choice of words. I didn't see anyone trying to push Christ on you.

The words "I" and "If" two big little words. The fact remains, I don't and I can't do anything without The Creator being willing for me to do it.

Hi Alien. I take it you do not believe there is a God? Well anyway, that God that you might not believe exists gave us a set of rules - the 10 Commandments. The thing is, it is not possible for anybody to keep those Commandments. That is where Jesus Christ comes in. He took the punishment for our sins so that we don't have to. I hope that the day comes when you do realize that God is real and that He knows you and He loves you.:)

What's so difficult about following the 10 Commandments?
Well, maybe thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife may be difficult for a lot of people, but the rest seem pretty easy to me.

Well you sound like a good person, the problem is that none off us are good enough. Honestly, there are a lot of people like you who are A LOT nicer than some Christians. You know, I bet that if you were to talk to some Christians in other countries where Christianity is not so easy you wouldn't think Christianity is so rediculous. There are people today who are living like Christians did in the beginning. There very lives are in danger because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Many have already been killed because of it. Would you give your life over a superstition?

You may not believe in God and the power of prayer, but I wish that you would at least open your mind to the possibility. I do believe, but I have always respected the opinions of others. I know that, without the Grace of God, I would not be here today. Prayer is very powerful, and there are now "scientific" studies that indicate that prayer makes a great difference in someone's recovery in illness. Why don't you "google" the results of these studies. I'm talking about mainstream science and not one of these fringe science studies.

Another source of information you may wish to peruse is the book entitled, Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeons's Journey into the Afterlife, by Eben Allexander, M.D. This man's story is very interesting. He was an agnostic until he had this near-death experience. I'm sure that you will find this book enlightening.

I meditate actually. Anyhow I am as open to you religion as any other supernatural claim. I'm willing to except imperial evidence. There just isn't any that I've seen. If you have any then get it published, peer reviewed, and collect your Nobel Prize.
