AW, Hope your son gets to see you tomorrow. What little we had is gone. Just frigid out. But across the river....hadn't heard.

I am off to go soak in a hot tub of bubbles and relax. Might come back later and see what's going on if I am not cimbing right into my Downy fresh cool sheets to fall off in laalaa land. lol

Have a good night everyone.

I did not reference "bad apples", only a singular apple. Each individual should be held accountable for their own action(s) and we should not negatively label an entire group. You don't toss out the entire barrel because of one bad apple or even 2 or more.
In respect to your search for truth, if truth propigates hatred for a particular sect or group and not focused on seeking individual justice, you bet I will ignore it.
I don't even label ALL lawyers and politicians and with that, Good Night.
particular groups call attention to the bad apples among them and it won't be hard to single them out. You think the KKK have any 'good apples' among them? It would probably be more difficult to identify the good apples than the bad apples in this case.

censoring dissent is worse, especially when the dissent is an honest and truthful comment. This is what the first amendment is supposed to protect.

Well we definitely have a different understanding of the bible. No doubt there are those who see a pre-tribulation rapture, a mid-tribulation rapture, no rapture and all inbetween. I understand a pre-tribulation rapture from reading the bible.
As far as "accepting Christ," the Holy Spirit is the one who does the convicting of the heart showing the person their need for the Savior Jesus Christ. Once the Holy Spirit shows the person this need by conviction within the heart, it is up to the individual person to ACCEPT what Jesus did in paying their sin debt or not. The bible states that it is God's will that all be saved but it is up to the individual to ACCEPT Christ or REFUSE Christ.
The only thing necessary for a person to be saved is the working of the Holy Spirit within the heart or Jesus Christ Himself to show up and tell the person the truth. I personally know of cases of people being saved where there is no church present and no Gospel going out. It is happening every single day in hard-line closed countries. Jesus is appearing to people in spirit form and spreading the Gospel Himself. That is also how people will be saved after all believers are raptured; by the Holy Spirit and by Jesus Christ Himself. People are not needed but of course once some are born again they will also spread the Gospel - such as the 144,000.
The bible also tells of the 1,000 year reign of Christ on the earth, beginning after the 7 year tribulation period.
As far as my "goodie box(es)," IF not a one of them is found and used - I did not lose one single thing in leaving it behind. IF one "goodie box" is found - one person and possibly many more will have the chance to know what is going on and what to do about it. That's good enough for me.

People seem to forget that Topix is owned by a person or persons. It is not public property therefore Topix owners can censor any way they please. If I was the owner of Topix it would be censored harder than it is. People would not be allowed to bully people like they do annonymously and get by with it. This is the only thread I have seen censored so well. I wish they all were.

Yep. I keep a 60 watt bulb dangling down over the chicken's water and it is working well at 22. I don't know what will happen at lower temps or if the electric goes out. I guess I could put the chickens in the spare bedroom. LOL

Yet another sleepless night, fourth in a row and I'm begining to drag. I've never slept more than three hours a night but seems as I get older my body has changed and it's not enough anymore but sleep still avoids me. Oh well I'll shut down eventually. Ya'll have a good morning.

It has become a personal chat about kids, weather, etc. that has nothing at all to do with dead birds. NEW THREAD PLEASE. Let's put this one to rest....

Hey Gina, you can just scroll on by or ignore it like we do the 3 RandPaul sites that are clearly not on subject either.(Did you go tell them the same thing?) Why don't you go start a NEW thread as this one is still going strong and your post was #80191. Missing posts were removed by mods. We will continue to chat about whatever we want and if you don't want to join in, oh well, move on. We are glad the birds are not dropping dead anymore and this thread has not died either. One poster (lala or Peace, I think) posted this way back when people like you piped in their displeasure with this thread...

They died, and we are using this thread:

1) in remembrance of the lost life force of our avian brothers and sisters, and
2) to keep the eternal flame alive.
3) Did you know that some legends say that birds were once thought of as Messengers who carried prayers to God/Creator/Great Mystery, since birds can get closer to That Great Mystery than any other animal?

Here's a thread, where you can light a virtual candle, in memory of our fallen Messenger comrades:

http://www.lightingacandle.org/ ...

No thanks are expected or necessary, friend.

Have a Happy New Year in some other thread. Thanks

Good one Ancient Wolf. I hope your son makes it down to see you before the "winter weather advisory" 10 am today until 1pm tomorrow for Indiana and the Louisville area kicks in. Hopefully it will stay across the river so people will be safer travelling around celebrating the New Year tonight. I WON'T be one of them. I am still sick and will wrap up in my mink blanket cuddled in the corner of my couch and watch it on TV. Ugh, going to miss some good food, fun, friends and family tonight. Oh well, won't be the first time. I just hope everyone is safe out there.

You and dog stay warm and enjoy the day. Every day's a gift. Hope the New Year is a better one.

Oh no, I didn't know Grant Jeffrey had died. To me he was one of the great End Times teachers. Many of his teachings are on YouTube and he has written many books.
I like what this guy (Paul Begley) has to say about the study of End Times Prophecy: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch...
