Hello to all the decent posters.

I'm very excited about UK getting a new head football coach, I hope he's a winner. It was a very sad weekend losing a legend like Hector Macho Camacho. I saw a bunch of birds today and they seem to be doing very well.

After all this time here posting, I am honored to declare my good friend as our fearless leader here in this thread. Congratulations, it's a well deserved honor. I hope the twits don't get jealous or at least don't act out on their jealousy of a good human being like Una who is a good friend to everyone here.

I know exactly how you feel. At this point I am working so many hours, and getting SO far behind, I will have to work 10 years after I die just to catch up.

"Work" is a four letter word. LOL Just started raining here. I wonder where Topix thinks "Here" is located this time? They have not gotten it right in 2 years. LOL

Glad I got my firewood split and into the shed today.

Did UNA explode and pass on to the other side ? I thought maybe those eulogies were indicative of something. I follow no one. He is just an ASS-ociate. LOL

I saw a TV program once about human instantaneous combustion. I suppose that is one possibility if the Ol Coot did not release that methane at the proper moment. LOL

I'm still on this side, AW. Still farting like a bloated mule. LOL. I have been busy today with a little project I am messing with. I have been talking with different folks on the phone today. It seemed that so many desired my Gems of Wisdom today. I guess it was the long weekend. A special thanks goes out to Humpaburn. He was on a roll getting caught up on his morning reports today. Afakebeliever flew in from the Cukoo Nest today. It was horrible as usual. Have a good night, AW. Afakebeliever,,,,Nah.

Well I am glad you did not explode. I did not want to go buy new overalls for the last rites. The timing was a bit off too. I had spent all my 3rd Wednesday money and can't even get more overalls at the GOODWILL with my quarter.

They did have a polyester pant suit there for a $1 and I could not even afford that and besides they did not have any black and white two-toned wing tipped shoes to match. I don't know why they require such high fashion at the final services.

I finished my wood cutting and went to bed way too early. I need to get the dog up and send him out so that I have an excuse for being up at this time of the night.

Enjoying the brew this early am and watching a pumpkin chuckin contest on the tube. Some of these dudes spend a lot of moola to chuck a pumpkin. The air cannons are blasting them over a mile. I Finally broke up my jack o lanterns yesterday so the birds and squirrels could enjoy them, so maybe that makes me pumpkin chucker too.

Have a good one,,,,, trolls, not so much.

Today is give back Tuesday...
I would ask everyone to do one act of giving today, in some way. Feed someone, open the door for a stranger, help someone in need. Give away something you no longer need. We dont have to be rich to help in some way. We can all make a change, within ourself , we just have to start and I am daring myself first to do whatever I can today.. I would love to hear any, that has been done today ...
For providing warmth for someone else, we also warm our heart within.....

A long time ago in a far off world,
Where clouds of a different color swirled,
Lived the Bagfill Folk whose name it derives
From the way they tended to live their lives.

Each child when they became of age
Was taken aside by a self-styled sage
And given a bag made of magic and silk.
You never have seen a bag of this ilk.

'Take this bag,' the sage would say.
'You must take it everywhere, every day
'And collect pretty things and put them therein.
'To abstain from this task is a mortal sin.'

'And one day, I cannot tell you the date
'It might be soon or it might be late
'The bag will be full and on that day
'Your happiness ever more will stay.'

So out they would set, with their bags in hand,
Making their way through this far off land,
Doing their best to fill up their sacks
With treasures and trinkets and other nik naks.

But no matter how many prizes they got,
(Some got a few and some got a lot),
The bags never seemed to get any fuller
And the searching began to get duller and duller.

'What is the point?' they began to ask.
'Why are we doing this thankless task?'
Then the sages would come and make them feel small
For daring to question the point of it all.

One day there appeared (were not sure from where)
A man who the fear merchants just could not scare
He strode through the land with his head held high,
Giving and helping without asking why.

The sages tried every trick in the book
To make others think that this man was a crook,
But to those who had met him, it soon became clear
That his motives were pure and his actions sincere.

They followed and asked him why he was not scared
And from where he was getting the things that he shared
'Its simple,' he said,'needs no thinking about,
'I just took my bag and turned it inside out.'

Day all ,,, may it be a good one , and if ya see someone with their bag inside out , dont laugh, maybe they are givin it all today as well!!!!:)

That is a good idea for today and everyday, except I don't expect to see anyone today to give something to or to open the door for. So after reading this, I took the chickens some banana bread as an alternative to the same old chicken feed. That is also why when I do get out of here, I like to take the old folks a few eggs.
