I know this topic is about burning things and all, but being "BURNT OUT" still doesn't qualify you as a worthy commenter on the topic at hand.

So, go set your head on fire and come back later, that should count as burning garbage lol!!!

Oh and you really need to change that user name, given that you are so bitter, when someone just disagrees with you....suggestions: "needs mommy", "needs ba ba", "needs friends", "needs anger management", "needs therapy", "needs more therapy" or my personal pick 4 u...."needs commonsense..to help come to the realization, that when on topix, there is a reply option, over the comment you leave, for a reason, that reason being, that someone, may, or may not, agree with your comment, so STFU and GTF over it.

Seriously, this is topix, it is normal to disagree with someone. IT IS NOT normal to take it personal, follow their every comment and say random crap, nor does it bother me, that you waist your time, in doing so.

Whatever, makes you feel better, I guess...but if all you need is a friend and a hug, I'm here for you, stalker lol!!!

Apparently burning plastic is against the law.
Violating state air quality regulations could result in a fine of up to $25,000 per day.
Kentucky Division for Air Quality rules do allow certain types of open burning: campfires, barbecues, small fires for warmth, burning plant matter from clearing your own property and wood bonfires on festive occasions.
Do not add tires to a fire. It is illegal to burn: tires and other rubber products; wire; treated, painted or finished wood; plastics; garbage; heavy oils; asphalt materials; building materials, especially those containing asbestos; paints; and agricultural and household chemicals.
Actually it's Not.. The regulations set limits on the amount of released byproducts of a household burn and the limits are such that the normal burn is many times below the threshold set by the regulations ... You are under Kentucky law allowed to burn household trash, including plastics. Now there are also Local Municipal laws such as the Barbourville City ordinance where you cannot burn any trash.. Unless Artemus has such local ordinance the renter or owner is allowed to burn trash, legally...

Sorry Q but you are wrong. Please read this link: http://air.ky.gov/Pages/OpenBurning.aspx

Division for Air Quality
Open Burning

In Kentucky, it is never legal to burn household trash other than uncoated paper products. Aerosol cans, plastic, tires, food waste, coated wire, motor oil, painted or treated lumber, and many other materials create toxic fumes and ash that are hazardous to human health and the environment. Children, the elderly and those with existing health problems are particularly vulnerable to smoke from open burning. To learn before you burn, or to report an illegal open burn, call the Division for Air Quality at 1-888-BURN-LAW, or e-mail burnlaw@ky.gov.

Well I am going by :

http://www.lrc.ky.gov/kar/401/063/005.htm

Section 4 Line 9...(Which Allows)

(9) Fires for disposal of household rubbish, which shall not include garbage, originating at dwellings of five (5) family units or less, if the fires are maintained by an occupant of the dwelling at the dwelling, except in cities greater than 8,000 population located in a Priority I Region;

I will admit to being in error to the plastic aspect but I have lost the link that I once had that gave particulate percentage amounts allowed for Household rubbish due to small amounts of plastic and polycarbonate materials that find their way into a household burn..

But as I said, contrary to what you pasted from that site the above controlling document states household rubbish can be burned.. If I can run across the mentioned link of specific definitions I'll pass it along...

The Controlling KRC above is still in effect and has not been repealed so I would say according to the Actual Kentucky Law you can burn your trash unless you can show me where the above statute has been superseded...
Sorry

I think it is a political statement for most people. Or they are ignorant about the dangers of burning plastic. Every three days my yard smells like smoldering plastic and chemicals. I moved to the country to get away from the fumes. And it is against the law, but people do not want to call the law on there neighbors. I wish people would consider other people in the community before they poison everyone's air supply. I have tried talking to them about it , I even told them I would put it in my can or I could take it to the dump for them, they do not have much. They like burning it. They get out and walk around in it. They look really sad and sick all the time too. I wish I could get through to them.

I think people do not like admitting that they are wrong. There should be more public service announcements. People that enjoy burning plastic in there back yards need to be stopped.
