<quoted text>that is all im refering to, the hazerdouse materials. plastics, things like that. bottles that may still contain cleaner, bleach, milk jugs. and besides what do they do with the stuff that cant burn? like cans, aluminum foil, metals and things. dump them some where when no one is looking?
ok , well i would rather burn garbage anyday over dumping off the side of the road, now thats bad for our planet, who would have thought that people would start on people over things they do with there own stuff, property, land. I do happen to have garbage pick up but i do also burn things,do you all know where garbage is taken to? Its taken to a land field and our land fields are getting so over packed with garbage, like those IGA or Sav-A-Lot bags that we all get when we buy stuff, well have you ever looked up exactly how long it takes for something like that or a plastic pop bottle to deteriate, or however you spell it.(go ahead and make fun of me for spelling something wrong now lol ) Seriously people think of the good in things, i mean when we burn these things its saving land fields, getting it out of our way at the same time. I burn all my stuff that can be burned. If its glass, metal or something i send it on its way, but imagine howmuch room im saving in that field alone.

To the topic above about all the other things people will end up griping about as far as cooking out, mowing our lawn, or just having a pig roast, i agree, people need to grow up and gripe about the things that are hurting this town, like drugs and violence, and all the teens getting out and getting wild and having babies. If everyone in this county put as much effort into changing things around here, as they put into talking crazy stuff on topix this place might actually be a little bit better.

As far as the "neighbour" that has the problem with the burning, why dont you go over and ask them to choose another spot to burn so the smoke is coming towards your home, or why not ask them to do it around a certain time when you wont be home to smell it? Im sure if things were adressed in a better way towards people, you might actually get better response to it. I know if my neighbour came to me and told me that when i burned my garbage that it was bothering them, id try to work something eles out if i could, if i couldnt then we might could figure out something, but id probably even wait to burn my garbage or mow my lawn when i knew they would be gone for a bit.
All Im saying is why dont more people try going about things a little bit different than they do now, and see how people react to you. Have a nice night everyone.

<quoted text> I agree you have the right to do what you want on your own property, HOWEVER, you are limited to do what you want up until the point it disturbs others. For example,You CAN play music in your home, you CANT play it so loud to where it disturbs others and evades on others rights of "quiet enjoyment of property" it is a legal term look it up. I dont want to stay in my home I have the right to be outside on my property and breath clean air, your the one envading upon my rights!
If someone has the right to blow cigarette smoke in my families face at the Daniel Boone Festival, and I don't complain about it, I'll be damned if someone complains to me about what I burn on my own land, if I am within the burn laws.

I cut some of it off, to shorten my comment, but I agree with it all, very well said.

Also, garbage pickup is garbage pickup, the same amount of bags for different size families. I

I for one am not paying extra for extra garbage pickup. When I have my own land to burn it on.

I have garbage pickup for my glass, metal, diapers, etc.
I recycle my aluminum, and I burn the rest.

Oh and all my old tires lol, just kidding, trying to ruffle a few feathers for a second hehehehe!!!

"Hey, how about you remove all of your landscape and grass. I'm allergic to the scent of those flowers and that grass sure is a killer. I've had a runny nose for a week, now that the wind has been blowing in the direction on my home."

LOL! I can't help but laugh.

Today we have people consuming toilet bowel cleaner, acids, etc.. in making meth, however our neighbors are worried about burning plastics. I agree, I don't burn anything that is potentially hazardous to the ozone.. BUT, when someone else does I definitely don't cry about it. To me, there just seems like more important factors - especially in the "going-green" sense to worry about.

Everyone is so worried about the ozone, but seriously how many people do you see giving up their automobiles or even just carpooling to save extra vehicle emissions? How about the plastic grocery bags. When you throw yours away, that's still polluting a part of the earth somewhere, but how many people takes reuseable bags to IGA? How about your aerosol insect sprays you use? Hairspray?..

<quoted text>burning coal to keep warm is perfectly understandable. besides, people dont open windows during winter, and children arent outside as much. duh!
I judge you BRILLIANT! LOL!!!

Coal stoves I understand, burning garbage I understand.

Someone who believes the neighbors burning garbage is more hazardous to their health in the open outdoors, but doesn't see a hazard with coal emissions in a closed up environment, well that I just don't understand.

Typo, "one of the" because I am one of the garbage burners. Yep, a full blown addict, just can't stop. Maybe I need to go to GBA(Garbage Burners Anonymous) You all could be our sponsors.

<quoted text> no one wants to smell that horrible smell!
There are many aroma's in this world, that if I could choose to delete forever, I would.
Cigarette smoke, arm pits, butt breath, dirty hair, wet dog, perfume, perfume masking dirty butt, car emissions, bleach, hamburger helper, and sometimes my kids after school on a hot summer day lol!!! Problem is, it's a free country, and I don't get to rule my neighbors and the public, so that my wants are met. It's not all about me, or you!
real picnic wrote:
<quoted text>we have children who have to breathe this crap and that cant be healthy. do you just not care about the health of kids? it is not fair that i should have to hear my kids cry wanting to go outside, but they cant cause all the burning plastic and hazerdous toxic stuff you are putting in our air.
Do you take your kids out in public, where there are car emissions and secondhand smoke? Is your home sealed off, do you all have oxygen tanks to breathe in your home? I doubt it, so maybe you should rethink keeping your kids indoors when they cry to go out. After all if oxygen can come through the cracks of your home, so your family can breathe, then so can those fumes, from burnt garbage. At least outside the oxygen supply is greater.
real picnic wrote:
<quoted text>stuff that may have leftover cleaner, like household cleaner, bleach containers ect. cant be healthy to breath in the smoke off that stuff.
Are these the things in your garbage? If so, maybe you should think about what is really causing your families breathing problems. Women have a greater risk at having lung disease, women are likely to do most of the household cleaning, more women stay at home then men. You can't deny the fact that cleaning with chemicals and breathing that air all day in your home may be one of the factors in those statistics.

I do have garbage pickup and I also burn, common sense tells you that burning garbage is harder than garbage pickup. Lazy people, HILARIOUS!!!

What if I complained every time I seen aluminum, paper, or cardboard in your garbage pickup. I feel like you shouldn't pile up our landfills with recyclable materials, is that any of my business? NO IT IS NOT!!!

All you're doing is pissing people off that had a valid complaint.

Now watch them report you because what your doing is illegal.

Oh an congratulations on finding your cap lock key near the end there. For a minute I thought you burnt it in protest.

We must know each other lol, from the things you say just sounds like we would. lol

This is funny stuff, and i plan on burning for the next 2 weeks at my house, even if i have to go collecting garbage to have some to burn. I refuse to let someone tell me what to do on my own property. GET A LIFE PEOPLE cause i wont let you live mine, or tell me what to do, i am old enough to make my own choices.

Shirley Ujest - please explain to me how what i said is illegal when yet people reading this than going outside and saying "i'll burn trash on my property if i want to and if any one has a problem with it then they can just leave" is any different... and for your information the last sentence you typed made no sense. i am not the one on protest here. in order to protest you must be against something happening.... you are the one protesting if you are against people burning garbage on their own private property.

Artemus Gal - what is your name? i know many people in artemus. if you don't want to say a name i understand... many people on here are douche bags and would probably insult you just for leaving your name so just don't do that lol.. around what age are you (teen, 20s, 30s...)? thats a better question.

Its illegal to burn platic. Is what I am saying.

I didn't say not to do it or do it.

There are thing we do in Ketucky we get away with.

When they build houses for example. The inspections are not aways what goes on other places.

So yes you can burn garbage and yes some one might come thats not a "good ol boy" and fine you and you can stomp your feet on here and say "I can do what evea I want" but if that guy shows up you will not fuck with him or you will end up behind bars.

Again...people do stuff here they wouldn't do else where.

...and maybe there is someone burning some toic shit thats going into someones house? I mean thats not cool right?

well the way you stated it before made it seem as if you were saying that by me saying what i said i could get reported. i never said i burn my garbage as matter of fact i have my garbage picked up every monday morning. i'm to lazy to go burn all that crap and find something to do with what don't burn... and all the ashes... but for those who do burn it then i highly doubt all of them can be stopped it's just as likely for them to be stopped for old folk's health as it would be for them to build a road for coal trucks only where coal trucks are a problem for the old folk's health...

The air is not your property. It belongs to everyone.

I knows its way over your redneck head but until you can find a way to keep your air on your property you're wrong.
