Well I'm a 30+ yr. surface miner. I lost my job last January and am on unemployment. I was really counting on the American people to get a president in that would turn loose all the coal permits and strict regulations that have crushed the coal industry. I guess I'll go sign up on ssi or whatever I can get like the gov. wants us to. Hell, I'm 57 yrs old and it's too late to go to school and start a new career. I guess I'll join the rest of knox co. and ky. and stick my hand out for a check.

you are so right. we got the food stamp president for 4 more years. if things dont change there is going to be more people getting goverment assistance than folks that work and pay taxes. this country has went straight to hell in a hand bag.

My father is a boss over a big strip mining operation. He told me last night, if Obama won, he'd be out of a job within six months.

Ain't no shame in it from my eyes pal, I've worked all my life too. Might as well join them. I don't see any other way to get by. Be like the rest of these check drawers that voted for Obama. Claim your check, tell them you got a bad back, then sale your pills. I'd say that should get you 40-50 thousand dollars a year if you play it right. Maybe fake a couple car wrecks or throw yourself down some stairs at a neighbors house and your set for life.

It's fucking sad man, and I'm sick in my guts over it. Call me racist if you want to. But blacks, Mexicans and queers literally have taken over the USA. With the help of white check drawing lazy asses to sorry to get out and work run the country now.

i agree with you about the whole deal. half of america has been brain washed by the liberal media. most americans dont even know the whole story on libya because the major news networks have been in the tank for obamanation the whole time. they got what they asked for, so i am seriously considering quitting my job and applying for hud, stamps, medicaid and any other freebie i can get. i guarentee that if you added it all up it would be as much or more than i make and i make 30 bucks an hour.

Welcome to The Welfare Nation...I am possitivily sick over the fact that the only reason people voted for him was to get the Government freebies and not vote for someone who could have lead this nation out of debt and made it the United States we were once proud of.I feel for the coal miners and their families and I feel for the rest of us.This state is a coal mining state you take away the mines you take away our towns.People will have to uproot from a place where they have lived all their life to find work somewhere else or have no choice but to get on welfare to help support their families. When the mines shuts down so will the other businesses it will be a domino effect.Blessed Be and may the creater be with us all.

You all bitch about your situation and the situation the country is heading. Most of the people on here get some kind of assistance from the government anyway. Do you all not realize that Kentucky is about 75% to 80% dependent on the government. If Romney were elected this state would have been demolished. You bitch because the moratoriums and other problems blocking people from work. Do you not realize that he's just one person that has to answer to other people? If you really have a problem with the way the country's being run, you need to complain to your congress and senate. They are the idiots that pull stool from their asses. They block or vote down every law, mandate, or proposal put in front of them. Just because they can't work across the isle. The republicans are just shooting themselves in the foot. So if you really have a problem. Write or call the elected officials in your state and tell them to playing like school girls and come up with a solution.

Is turning this country into a socialist country. I get help and I voted for Romney. There is a difference between disable and lazy. It will just make it easier to keep having kids and the system paying for it. I know of 2 sisters that have several kids and live together. They get $1,600.00 a month in food stamps and trade most to the drug dealers. We needed a change and those who do not want to lose their free ride got their way.

Screw you Huh. You obviously don't know what your talking about so instead of wasting my time trying to educate you on what just really happened, I will just tell you this. A lot of hard working honest people who believe in doing what's right are going to be affected negatively by this situation. Get my point? Also I think that all you check drawers should be drug tested regularly just to make sure that the money us hardworking people are donating people like you is being used for what it's intended purpose was...??? Any takers??
